The Vittoria Corsa Control G2 TLR road bike tyre is a great tyre for bad weather conditions and bad roads. The Vittoria Corsa Control G2 TLR is a tubeless tyre that won the Strade Bianche in 2018. By adding latex sealant to the Vittoria Corsa Control G2 TLR tyre, it will be sealed within seconds in case of a puncture. This means you no longer need to stop when you have a puncture. Better control, more speed! In addition, tubeless has many other advantages, such as a lower tyre pressure that gives you more comfort, grip and lower rolling resistance. The Vittoria Corsa has a thicker tread than the regular Vittoria Corsa, making it a better anti-puncture protection. This combined with the impressive TPI (threads per inch) of 320 ensure that there is an optimum ratio of speed, grip, puncture protection and durability.

ABSOLUTE RUBBISH AND NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE

2 x tan wall tires - both failed and split at the join between the tan wall and the lower part of the tire (in exactly the same way). This happened very early on, within weeks. Vittoria must know this is an issue. Not fit for purpose.1 x black tire. The tire split between the grooves on the contact point with the road. Very little use again - image attached. You can see the tread is like new.I used the tubular Vittoria Corsa when I was riding at a reasonably high level ( for GB) and do not recall any issues. However, I can 100% confirm that the tires I have used recently, are not fit for purpose.DO NOT MAKE TIRES THAT ARE SUB-STANDARD PLEASE.

Comfortable ride, needs better puncture protection

700c x 30mm. Clincher with Conti tube. I bought these tyres for riding the bergs and cobbles of Flanders. The ride is very comfortable. They roll well and give a high level of confidence when cornering hard. I've ridden a few hundred kms so far and enjoyed the ride. Except for the puncture I experienced at the weekend.Vittoria claim these tyres have a high level of puncture protection. They don't, or at least they don't have the level of protection that I'm used to with Schwalbe tyres. Okay, they are lighter but I'd advise packing a couple of tyre repair boots on long rides

Fast. Smooth. Easy to mount.

In 2019 I switched to Vittoria tubulars and never looked back. Incredibly easy to mount, wonderfully made, and just feel so good to ride. Are they actually faster? I have no idea. Do I prefer the experience of installing them and riding them over other tubular tires? I do. A lot. Also, although I live in the United States, the pricing from BikeInn is just unbeatable. Yes, delivery takes longer. But that's not an issue for me.

Good, but not great
14 June 2023

The Corsa is a lovely tyre that offers a great 'feel' (supple), speed and grip. It is also very light and looks fantastic (IMHO), at least for a while. However, it is not cheap and the wear is not as good as some of the other options at this level (Conti 5000, for example). The other downside is that the lovely tan walls do get very messy/stained if caught in some filthy conditions and they just don't clean up ever again. Puncture resistance is adequate for most conditions but not great (for a fast and supple tyre that will usually be an accepted trade off so it is not a problem for me).

Look great but terrible puncture resistance
9 January 2022

Have had these tyres for about a year and they are probably some of the worst I have had on my bikes. They look fantastic and if you want to see at how fabulous your bikes looks hanging on the wall these are the tyres for you. However, if you want to go riding in the UK then avoid these at all costs. They have very poor puncture resistance and it feels like every 150 km I'm changing a puncture. I ride a lot around different locations in the UK and have had the same experience with these everywhere They run great but that's no use if you're spending time at the side of the road fixing punctures. In short there are much more reliable tyre out there from Conti and others and I would recommend going with those options.

Puncture Resistant
28 January 2023

I’m an ex racing cyclist and ride about 150 miles a week. I have used these tyres for a few years now. They grip well and have good puncture resistance. They don’t lose traction easily on steep wet climbs like some overly hard compounds do especially in very cold weather. Good cornering at high speeds. The tan walls look like the old tubs used to. The bead isn’t so tight that you can’t get them back on at the roadside. Bit pricey but buy them in threes and you’ll wear out two rear for one front while having a spare. Good tyres

Shredded After 20 Miles
24 June 2023

The durability on these tires is atrocious. They were punctured after a single 20 mile road the very first time I took them out. I had a pair of Victoria Pro Slick tires that lasted me well over a thousand miles with no issues whatsoever, whereas these just disintegrated upon first contact with the asphalt. A complete waste of time and money. Do not purchase.

Tough to seat, seem OK
16 November 2020

Put these tires onto ENVE SES 3.4 AR rims. These tires were so loose I was able to get both beads into the center channel with NO tools. While that sounds like a good thing, I repeatedly had issues getting the tire to take any air to try to seat the beads. I tried pumping with no valve core, I tried soapy water, I tried the Airshot cylinder. Nothing would get them to take air and seat. I finally took them to a bike shop - we got one seated, but the other would STILL not take air. The employee told me to reach out to backcountry to return the tire.I had one trick left: put in a tube, seat the tire, take out the tube and try again. This was successful, but I will note that I had to pressure up to 130psi to get both beads to seat and "click". This is technically at the max rating of the tire tubed, and near/above the max rating of the rim. With both tires seated, I thought I was victorious, added the sealant and pressured up to about 60psi per ENVE weight recommendations. The tires proceeded to lose air and sealant at about 10psi/hr (with me repumping them, rotating them) for about 24 hours. After the 24 hrs, the tires seemed to hold and I did a test ride. Again things seemed to hold, but I'm pretty weary after the significant pressure loss initially.I've put about 120 miles in 2 rides on them now and they seem OK. For such nice tires and brand, I feel like things could have been smoother in the setup. Now that they're holding air, things seem to be OK, but I'm not overly "wowed" by them. They're fine. I have some tubeless Panaracers on my gravel bike and have been very happy there so far.

Vittoria Quality at Jenson Prices
22 June 2023

Vittoria makes the largest (28mm) tubular tires. I tried these tuned versions of that tire and was amazed at the similar road feel, flat resistance and overall quality. Of course many vendors sell these tires, however Jensen routinely provides the best price for this quality tire. Shipping time and delivery is unrivaled! Need I say more?

Worst tubeless tyre I have ever purchased
24 February 2023

I have a set of Hunt limitless 30 wheels and used Schwalbe and Conti tyres on them no problem. Even just trying to seat the Vittoria was a mission, it took hours, i had to use an inner tube just to get it to sit properly. Had been riding it for less than 2 weeks and got a string of punctures, ride stopping punctures. Have now binned this and gone back to Conti.Absolutely terrible puncture protection and near impossible to fit. DO NOT BUY.
