Vittoria Air-Liner Tyre Insert Kit Road

Fairly straightforward to fit if you don't rush it, I'm sure they'll work but if there is ever a puncture and I really must remove the Air-Liner I'll be stumped because the little levers that we take with us o our rides will almost certainly not be up to the job.Sprockets got the goods out to me quicker than I expected and at a great price👍

if you run tubeless, these are a must have. saves carrying an emergency inner tube with you and the pain of taking a tubeless tyre on and off to fit one if on the road. Easy to fir, very light weight and they work, even wit no air in the tube you can get home

Not a 'run flat' system as described.

A good safety addition

Anything that improves riding safety like puncture rapid deflation can't be bad

Easily fitted, complete starter kit

Really good product, certainly feel much more safe with these in the tyres incase of a flat. And the plus is you cant feel any difference in the ride quality rolling along with normal tyre pressure

Expensive, but the ride security is worth it.

Bought the full kit, and it is fairly easy to fit, and I didn't need the tyre pliers. I just used the spacers in order to keep the tyre bead in the rim-well to get the final section on. The tyres feel a little bit harder at the usual pressure but that has no effect on road rolling and handling. It does seem over-priced for a hoop of foam, but the ride it home security is worth it.

Great idea but so hard to change a tyre

I’ve been using the Vittoria Air Liners for a couple of months and really like them as a product. The benefits are ride comfort and peace of mind that running tubeless you’re covered if there’s a puncture that can’t be fixed. Installing was tough as you’re installing a tyre with the equivalent of a small inflated inner tube. Seating the tyre in the middle rim well is hard and the Vittoria tools help. I needed to change a tyre that had worn badly and removing the tyre with the Air Liner installed was impossible for me. The same effect of removing a tyre with the equivalent of a small inflated tube meant the tyre refused to sit in the middle well of the hub to allow removal. I ended up damaging the rim tape and having to cut the worn out tyre off. I would like to install them again but need to find a way I can remove the tyre without the need to cut them off.

Great idea, but not for road wheels.

Purchased these as I was always getting snake bite / burps on my 3T Strada even though it was set up tubeless. Loads of debris and rocks on our local roads at harvest time.The liners were to be my back up plan. Firstly if you get these to fit, you have super hero powers. I gave up for fear of damage to the tyre and wheel rim. The pliers tool and clips supplied really are not enough to get these fitted. To fit them it would take a set up like a tyre beading machine or a massive clamp to squeeze the whole tyre to allow the last section on the beadThink that these are still in the development phase. The set up is the issue. Long story short, returned them for a gift voucher exchange, which good customer service from Sigma.

Great in concept but...

The background... Having converted to tubeless and loving the ride quality I moved back to new generation tubes (TUP) as was flying through tyres and sadly not just by the speed. Having seen these reviewed and trailed by EF in the tour they were highly anticipated and could not wait to get my hands on them to convert back to tubeless.So having received they are only shipped with the proprietary valve and Vittoria do not do a threaded extender to work with tubeless (Issue 1). Having waited another few week to get threaded extenders for another brand issue 2 arrived... Getting anything bike related namely Vittoria tyres due to stock (anywhere).Having waited since May I received tyres today from my good friends at sigma the task of the day was to have these bad ... MoreThe background... Whilst I like to support new tech the air-liner road is a great concept and whilst the valves are too short for most deep rims these can be retro fitted but the liners themselves are a great concept but just fall short and will likely go in the bin (against my principles) as whilst I tested the valves and tyres the liners will not allow the tyre to seat and then to get them off is a mission to say the least.The positive: Although not with the air-liner road I'm back on tubeless and hope these tyres last, if not it will be tail between the legs and straight back to TPU tubes as whilst they are costly they do give the closest ride to tubeless and this is a positive.These are only my experiences so take with a pinch of salt. As I say the concept is awesome but sadly I do not have a pit crew or day at a time to fit/replace them
