Love the tortilla press. I use it for my tortillas, pizza doughs, flatbread, etc. Very versatile and robust. I use Glad go between so the dough doesn't stick. Thanks again Kitchen Warehouse.

This tortilla press is exactly as described - it is much better and easier to use than similar aluminium products. I say almost perfect as the size tortillas it makes are relatively small

It took a while to figure out how to attach handle. I enjoy using it and saves time.

This is such a big time saver tool - easy to use however assembly instructions were a little unclear, overall though such a great product to save time rolling tortillas
I bought this Press to make Tortillas (Flour & Corn versions), but so far, have only used it to make Indian Chapati. It works an absolute treat! Saves so much time not having to hand-roll (yay!). I definitely recommend using a sheet of plastic against the cast iron surface (so your item doesn't stick). You could lightly flour the cast iron (this increases the amount of cleaning required after you finish pressing), but I cut a cereal bag (it's heavy(ish) plastic) the flat part with no seam, to a slightly bigger size than the press. I also lightly floured the plastic (the side that comes into contact with the item you are pressing), and this prevented any sticking of the item to the plastic. I've read several reviews about the handle snapping (near the hinge) if too much pressure if applied. I possibly could have made by Chapati's a little thinner, but I was a bit concerned about the handle (I was being gentle cause the Press is new). All up, a great quality product (it should last a lifetime - assuming the handle doesn't break - and if it does, some welding could fix that!). Very happy with the way it performs. If you make your own Tortillas or Chapatis, get yourself one of these. There are cheaper versions available, but this one is quality - after all, you pay for what you get!
I have used this great little press a number of times now to make corn tortillas. The first thing is to make sure to use the correct corn flour. Just ground corn flour did not work well for me. I went searching for masa harina and found some in the health food shop. I just followed the instructions on the back (add hot water, mix and then sit for a while). The second as point for successful tortillas is is to use plastic to assist with the pressing as mentioned in other reviews. I just cut open a sandwich bag on 3 sides and used that. The third step is to roll a golf ball sized piece of dough and place in between the two sheets of plastic and then press down the lid of the press gently til flat. And then I opened it and turned the plastic/dough around at 90 degree ... MoreI have used this great little press a number of times now to make corn tortillas. And then I opened it and turned the plastic/dough around at 90 degree angles a few times with presses in between. That way i got a nice flat and thin tortilla. It was then easy enough to fry up in a medium to hot pan. Perfect. Filled it with guac and other yummy things and ate them with some red wine. Perfect evening meal with friends and family!
This press works well and while small (an advantage when storing) nonetheless provides ample stability and strength for making small tortillas.
Perfect for making delicious tortillas quickly. We follow the tips given with the press for easy fuss free tortillas. Highly recommend.
Love my Tortilla press. So easy to use.First time I have ever made Tortillas and they are so versatile , tasty and cheap to make. Added a few great toppings and made a beautiful tasty meal. Great flavour of the maize corn meal is delicious. You won’t be sorry. ❤️💕❣️
Made from heavy cast iron, it has the ability to press a really thin tortilla, worth the money for an original product from South America
