I was on the search for a sturdy, retro, upscale fan to place next to my desk. A fan I could adjust with front controls, stayed in place, and looked great. Price was a secondary factor, within reason. Is it worth nearly triple digits? If it meets those needs, youll spend more going to dinner and the movies these days. I can swivel my office chair, adjust the settings, and cool down. Enough heft that theres no movement.This is a very small fan. You can barely hear it, its so low, any ambient noise will tune it out. This is my go-to setting, and makes the air not feel so static.L2- this sounds, and feels, like a desk fan with ambient fan noise. You can still easily take a phone call right next to it, and cools properly. Im at a distance of maybe 4.L3- this really puts out the air, and you can hear that. Reminds me of the old box fans on a low setting. Seems a bit excessive until youre just-took-the-trash out hot, and then its a blessing.

All metal except for the plastic fan blade itself and maybe the Vornado badge. Almost a vintage 1940s vibe, especially the green version.It's a miniature version of the classic Vornado fan from the 1960s, two speeds, quiet on low speed and plenty of airflow if you want it on high speed. Front grille is easily removed for cleaning.One of the best aspects is that the controls consist of a single knob on the back of the motor, no electronics, no remote control. Solid base, and no flimsy feeling about any aspect of this fan.Note this fan does not oscillate but it is tiltable.

Beautiful vintage fan

I’ll be honest, I bought this fan not because of the brand or reviews- I chose it for it’s look alone. I just received it today and I’m very happy with the look and feel. It’s heavy duty, feels like 10lbs easily and the paint and chrome are gorgeous. That being said- the fan blade is not metal, it’s black plastic. The fan blade diameter is about 7” so when purchasing this fan, you can’t expect it to put out the same amount of air that a fan with a larger fan blade like a box fan for example. It moves air but, doesn’t blast my hair back or anything. I did read a lot of reviews on a bunch of different websites before purchasing. Anyhoo, I bought this fan to circulate air in a small laundry room in the sweltering summer months and for when the power goes out and we need some air flow in the bedroom that won’t draw too much power from our generator. So the medium size meets our needs so far and looks beautiful while doing it. I’m giving it 4 stars solely because I have a slight fear that there may be problems with it working in the future from all the reviews on the web.

Best fan we have owned! Cools & is Quiet!

Quiet fan and very durable. My husband was impressed with how well this fan is made. It cools a room and really makes it comfortable on those warm days. It cooled our kitchen and living room very comfortably. We often put in the bedroom in the evening. I would also buy the Jr. too for a smaller room.

Cool Fan…get it?

So in order for the fan to work, you have to plug it in to the wall. I didn’t know that. After you do that, there are two settings: low and high. So high is the fastest it goes. Low will be a lot slower. I was hoping the settings would have cool names, like High would be called Artic Blast and the Low setting would be called Late Summer Evening or something similar. Also, these fans are only suitable for indoor use. I didn’t know that either. And yes, I would recommend this product to a friend, but I would tell my friend that it won’t work in the rain.

Cool fan UGLY color

Don't buy green! The color on your screen AND ON THE BOX IT COMES IN and a complete misrepresentation of the actual color. My 1939 bathroom is bright white, peach and jadite green. I ordered the green thinking it would cool things off in the summer (I have other Vornados) and look cute. I opened the box and was sooo disappointed! This fan is dark teal. Looks like the 1980's or 90's. Very UGLY COLOR.

Love it, but not to be

I loved this fan, but unfortunately, it just wasn't meant to be. It is very cute, a little darker than the photos suggested, and the perfect look for my vintage styled room, but the reason I wanted a Vornado was because two of my friends had regular ones that I fell in love with. Unfortunately, I had to return it for two reasons.1) The white noise wasn't quite like the other Vornado fans I liked. Its a little quieter, and on the highest setting, there is an underlying frequency that MOST people will not catch but I do. Not at all bothersome during the day while I'm working, but I do catch it at night while I'm trying to sleep. I can assure you that if you're not an audio engineer like me, you will not notice it. The cream color is not the same as other Vornados.

This fan color is very different from my other creamy white vornado fan, as this one has a darker tan/peach undertone. I was expecting the same color - bummer! If you don't mind the color, and low air output then I would suggest it. It's a nice little fan for a desk or nightstand. However, the low setting is VERY low, but can be used for white noise. V-Fan Jr.

I bought a dis punted red v fan jr at the end of season. Ended up using it all year! Liked it so much, bought another one a couple years ago and now thinking of buying a third. Great air circulation and nice small size. Need one for the kitchen have one in the living room and one in the bedroom! Best little fan I’ve ever owned! I have a red one and a white one.
