There's a reason they've been made for 30 + years. Whether used for skating or just for everyday wear, this has been on of my favorite shoes for almost half my life at this point. They look great, are decently priced, and once broken in, you can't do much better as far as skate shoes go. If arch support is a major concern, I'd definitely look elsewhere and if used for their intended purpose (i.e. skateboarding), I've made pretty short work of them, but generally without constant abuse, they can take a pretty decent beating. Basically, the shoe's grippy, has a slim profile and a well wearing sole, and a design that has stood the test of time. I bought these for work. Liked the style combination of black with brown gum sole. True to size. I am 4.5 normally, and the 4.5 fit perfectly. Plenty of room in the toe part. Feel nice and cushioned. Ordered Vans, but preferred the fit of these.

I've had this style of shoe before and they've always been comfortable hence buying them again. The first time I wore them, the rubbed the back of my ankle so much that it broke skin and made me bleed (had to buy another pair of socks on the way to work!)I'm pretty gutted as I haven't been able to wear them again yet but I'm hoping that it doesn't happen again once I'm healed.Another annoying thing is that when I got a delivered notification from Evri, they just left it at my door to potentially be stolen. Had to contact my neighbour to grab it for me, very annoyed.

Different colour to the pictures
13 December 2022

I bought these as a christmas present thinking they’d arrive just like the pictures. Nope. The gum sole was a lot darker than the pictured. I was expecting a lighter oak colour, they came in a muddy walnut colour.

Love these but slight difference
20 March 2022

I bought these as my last pair of vans started to wear. I quickly ordered as was going on holiday and packed them but on holiday I noticed they felt different to my previous ones and cut the back of my foot which never happened with my old ones. I have just checked and the last ones I bought were Classic Old Skool and these were just Old Skool and although the look is exactly the same the back bit comes up higher than the previous ones. Shame as now I have paid for trainers that are going to hurt to be worn but just as a forewarning for others!

Nice shoe

Nice shoe just no padding on the inside like the OG old skools. They run a little larger than the size. But overall a good fit. Just a little looser than I'd prefer.

Not to be confused with the Pro’s
28 March 2022

I bought 2 pairs of these thinking they were the Old School Pro’s with upgraded insoles. These are the basic Old Schools. Honestly didn’t think they came in this color which led me to believe they were counterfeit. Not to mention the price magically dropped 15% after I ordered them. Automated messenger said no money back and price was final. Shoes were shipped back waiting on refund.

The best vans!
4 May 2024

My son is obsessed with these vans! He's on a Jordan's phase but always comes back to these! They are his most very favorite comfortable shoe and go with everything! 10/10 recommend!

You need to "break them in" first
28 November 2023

Nice shoes after they have been "broken-in". First time I used them my heels regretted it for a week. Shouldn't have to be like that Vans…Other than that, great service from ASOS, as usual.
