TTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 Lens For Leica L

Wonderful portrait lense. Manual focus. Love the bokah. Find the screw on lense cap a bit odd. Solidly built. Delighted with the purchase. Aperture ring is smooth. No clicks. Recommended.

I love this lens. Crisp, vibrant images as soon as you master manual focus, and with a fisheye, once you stop down enough you really can’t screw it up. For the price I feel like you can’t beat it, it’s no million dollar lens, but you should know that when you’re looking at lenses in this price range. This thing is almost always in my bag. It’s so fun for street and landscape photography.

A fine lens

I use this lens on a Sony A7r for shooting ultrawide and 360 degree photos and am very pleased with it. Sharper than my camera, clean color and very solid build. Excellent value.

Another Great Lens from TTArtisan

I own the TTArtisan 7.5mm Fisheye for my Olympus M 4/3 Cameras and love it. With my recent purchase of my Lumix Full Frame S5 I was hoping to be able to add a similar Fisheye to that kit. Well this is it, another great lens.Now these superwide angle Fisheyes are not your everyday lens and they are not meant to be. But for their size and weight it's real easy just to bring it along in your kit should the right subject matter arise.This lens just like my other TTArtisan is very well built, solid construction and extrememly sharp. The f-stop ring is NOT a click type but it is so smooth yet firm that it does not move accidentally.2 things to note but are not really a big issue...Being a fisheye the front of the lens has that slight bulge so you want to be careful not to damage it. Also it is not Weather Sealed so you will want to be careful in your shooting environment.I really enjoy some the the perspectives you can get with these fisheyes with the right subject matter.For this price you can't go wrong even if it's only used occasionally.I've include a few quick test shots as I have only had it a short time and have not taken out in the field yet.

Awesome fisheye lens from TTArtisans

Great bright fisheye for L mount. This lens is extremely wide, and has massive barrel distortion for that nice fisheye look. The lens is very small and light, fun to shoot with! You can't get much wider than 11mm full frame and for this price its a steal.

Fun and creative

I can't speak to the technical aspects, just that it is easy to learn and use. I put my Lumix S5 in Aperture mode and manual focusing is a breeze. I know my much more expensive Lumix S PRO 24-70mm f/2.8 is a better quality lens with a whole lot more bells and whistles, but the lightweight of this 2.8 fisheye and its creative potential means it gets a good amount of time on my S5.

Get this before you buy big

This is an amazing lens. You should buy this if you’re on the fence about fisheye lenses. It’s FAR cheaper that top quality lenses, but it’s just as good. Buy this and see if fisheye photography is for you. If it is, you’ve got a great lens to start with.

Hard to fault even if you are a Professional !

Lens is hard to fault in any basic area. Highly advise running tests on tripod with progressive focus changes of the infinity setting. Compose with trees in upper corners of frame. I found lens to have excellent overall sharpness on tripod at f8 when infinity was set set correctly. Color, contrast and character of lens was very good for a wide angle lens regardless of price. Really fun lens with quality images that hold up surprising well on 47mp sensor of S1R Lumix. Inexpensive in this case does not mean low quality images.

It’s a fisheye

You want a fisheye? Then buy this. It’s not perfect, but it’s decent. Build quality is really nice. Heavy vignetting at 2.8. Stop down to 5.6 and this lens is really impressive. I bought this lens specifically for shots at crater lake and I have been happy with my results. Focusing isn’t a problem....it’s a fisheye. It should never be a problem. If you want that special look, but don’t want to spend a ton of money then this is the lens for you.
