Really nice saw for a decent price. As a diy user I don’t need something like the Festool saw but still want a half decent tool.Having never used a track saw before it took a bit of getting used to, and I did nick the rubber strip in a small section but I can replace this later. Once used to the saw it was easy to use and the included clamps where very useful.Only real criticism is the power cord is pretty short and an extra meter or 2 would have been very useful.

I have been using this saw constantly for a few months, mainly on my MFT with bench dogs. I have prepared sheet materials and thicker lumber (4x2"). Primarily I have been making external doors.I have been pleased with the machine; its ease to use; its accuracy, its features; its depth of cut. I have had no issues and no major disappointments. I have seen users of high-end plunge saws, complain about the anti-kickback feature on this Triton saw. I have got used to the feature and actually appreciate it!The only reason I did not give it 5 stars for quality is the actual guide track. The joint of the two 700 mm pieces can have a step which has stopped the saws travel a couple of times. I need to invest in a single 1400 mm track.

Variable cutting speed is a plus depending on your condition of cutting. Motor slightly underpowered. Dust extraction seems to work very well. It is easy to understand operation with a visual but is a little cluncky in the mechanical department. Plunge lowering button would at times lock up. Also the tracking system is a little hard to operate at first but becomes easier with use. The anti kickback feature is really nice.Overall decent machine for the money.

After reading all the glowing reviews I was pretty excited to find this kit for such a great price. I have used the Festool and Makita kits from others. I was excited to unpack the saw and set it up. Well... Attached the tracks together and then tested the slide of the saw in the track. After adjusting the fit in the track the saw would bind at the juncture of the tracks. I tried swapping the tracks but it didn't change the ability of the saw to travel in the track. If I loosened the fine adjustment there was noticeable play in the saw/track interface. There appeared to be a slight variation between the tracks and in my frustration I didn't think to check with my caliper before boxing to return. Now onto the saw. There appeared to be a slight variation between the tracks and in my frustration I didn't think to check with my caliper before boxing to return. Now onto the saw. It was well packaged and appeared well made. I found it required more force to plunge than the other models I used and seemed to hang up before plunging. Combine this with the track issues I decided to send the kit back and go with a different brand. Thank you Rockler for excellent customer service. Maybe I received a faulty track system, not sure but I don't think the quality matches the other brands I mentioned.
This saw is easy to use and the plunge feature works well. Being able to cut wood beyond the 2” depth makes the saw far more versatile then regular circular saws. Pay attention when changing the blade. Most blades install with the printing in the blade facing outward. On this saw you must put the blade on with the labels facing inward. Make sure the teeth on the blade are moving in the direction of the arrow on the saw and not as indicated on the blade. Happy cutting!!
its a good tool, but it's not a great tool especially for the cost. I didn't want to shell out for a Festool and the store didn't have all the components for a the different track saws in house. So before you need it in a pinch (like I did), do your homework and order one online. The saw has a lot of vibration, good power smooth operation but plan to run the track well past the end of your work piece. Don't let the saw stop in one place even for half a second or you'll get a blade mark that will require some work to get out of you cut edge. The dust collection is pretty poor and dragging a vacuum hose is one more thing that is likely to stop you and result in a blade mark. Minor thing, the instructions are shiite. Just go to youtube and learn how to use it.
I just pulled this out of the box, and used it for the first time. The saw was set up when I took it out. I literally unraveled the cord, plugged it in and was making nice clean cross cuts.Good spring tension for the plunge feature.Multiple easy to use depth stops. The main depth stop adjuster could be a little easier to access, and adjust(kinda wimpy knob).I have used the Festool TS55 and TS75, and this saw feels very similar in cut quality. Both saws have comparable features. The main difference is the action of the stops and detents(And the price). The triton has cheaper knobs, sliders, and switches(and costs about half as much). At the end of the day, this saw is a very worthy alternative to the TS55. I am happy with my Triton purchase.
Really like the saw and its features. Some of the features are only found on more expensive tools. Only have a couple of minor complaints: the controls can feel a little 'cheap' or 'plasticky ' but they do the job. The next one isnt about tool quality but the availability of the track length. At current prices, one would have to spend an additional $200 to be able to cut a 4x8 ft sheet of plywood lengthwise without stopping and resetting the track(s).The first cut I made was a 45° bevel cut and after a little trial and error, the track & saw worked very well making an accurate cut the length of the sheet. At this point, I would probably buy again.
Rockler is a wonderful company to order from and work with. I highly recommend this company. I purchased one Triton Plunge saw and had to return it and then two others as there were fractures in the selector housing and the plunge track rubbed not eh selector pin. I have a Triton 12V Drill and love it. I recommend the Triton Products and on the plunge saw my experience was a disappointment for manufacturing quality control. I know in the future the company will correct these manufacturing errors and will make a great saw. Its just the three I purchased had defects.
I bought this plunge saw to replace my circular saw which was of a much lower quality. This is my main tool for woodworking, so I was looking for something more serious without having the budget for Festool ... It is ideal for a handyman lambda that can use it with a guide rail or even under table. The suction and much more efficient than a non-plunge saw because of the blade is fully enveloped by the aluminum casing, and it is very safe. the base is rigid and the guides are well done, it's good mid-range equipment (Festool will always be better, but not at this price) and affordable! A little more would be a second blade for big flows, but here I quibble ...
