Tommee Tippee Insulated Straw Toddler Cup - Orange - 9oz

For a Tommee Tippee cup, this one is disappointing. First of all, it is not easy to put together. Half the time I spend at the dishwasher is putting these back together before they go in the cabinet. Second, they are not complete leak proof. If there is any liquid in the straw after they’ve take a sip, it will immediately come out if tipped over. Third, it is not good for kids transitioning from regular sippy cups as the cup must be held vertically at all times for them to drink, which is confusing to a toddler getting used to cups. Just not the best design for a sippy cup.

Almost perfect

I love the size, color and insulation on this cup. My son loves the carrying handle and having a straw in his cup. I took 1 star off for two reasons. The first is to clean this cup is not easy. While theres the no spill plastic piece, unlike other cups that have the nozzle, the straw is very difficult to remove, clean and reattach. That would be fine, but the piece that blocks and closes off the straw is impossible for my toddler to open. It hasnt gotten easier in the daily use. While other Tippee cups I can do one handed, cleaning, assembling, etc while holding a baby. This cup requires two hands and even then it can be a struggle. It is definitely the typical Tommee Tippee high quality, but has a design flaw with the straw and cleaning assembly/disassembly process.

Best straw sippy cup!

We have tried multiple straw sippy cups with my one year old and this is by far our favorite! The straw is the perfect size for little mouths and is easy for him to get water out of. He can lay it down anywhere and water doesn't leak at all. The parts inside are similar to other Tommee Tippee sippy cups and is very easy to clean. It feels very sturdy and has withstood being tossed from the high chair multiple times. I love that the handle on the lid and the cup itself is the same as the ones on the sport bottles that he has been using. He was immediately in love with this cup because it felt familiar but also had a straw that made him feel like he had a big boy cup like his older brothers. It isn't an issue for us since he doesn't mind keeping it open, and i like that it is really secure and leak proof when I want to put it away in the diaper bag. But if your child likes to open and close their cups themselves this might be an issue until they get stronger. Overall we love this cup and I would definitely recommend it!

Good bottle but flip lid is hard to open

This is a pretty good water bottle for toddlers. The bottle is an appropriate size and although the volume capacity is on the lower side, it’s good for on the go. It’s easy to carry around and simple to clean, and I usually just put it in the dishwasher. The straw is protected by a cover which keeps everything hygienic. The only thing I don’t like is that the straw cover is really hard to open. My toddler cannot open it on her own and even I sometimes struggle to open it. I wish it was an easy flip top or was push button.

Great Cup for Littles

I really like this product! The cup fits nicely in my toddler's hands and has a nice little handle. It also keeps drinks cold for a nice amount of time. My child is easily able flip the straw cover to access her drink. I love that this cup does not leak when in the diaper bag. A slight downfall is that the cup does not fit in all cup holders. We have 2 car seats and it fit easily in one but not the other, it also did not fit in my car's backseat cup holder. This doesn't really bother me though because it hasn't leaked when laying down. Initially the cup can be a little tricky to reassemble after cleaning. It gets much easier with use and it's great to be able to thoroughly wash all parts of the cup. I was excited to try this out because our current cups all seem to leak. This does not leak and works very well for a toddler who cant seem to keep anything upright. The cup is insulated so it works well to keep cold drinks cold. The cup is not too large but holds enough for running errands or to keep accessible throughout the day. It comes apart easy enough for cleaning as well. My only complaint and lack of star is the amount of force needed to open it and let the straw out. It proved hard to me and there is no way my two year old would be able to do it. I do appreciate it being a tight seal so that it doesn't leak while closed, but do not enjoy that my child can not open it on his own and have it giving me trouble as well. Lacking a little luster but still works

I wanted an insulated cup that would keep all my little girls liquids cool while we were running around. Check, it kept her juice cool and I wasn’t worried about it getting gross. Pretty good

This tommee tippee straw cup is good but not my favorite. I like that it's insulated and has a little carrying handle. I also like that all the pieces come off and out to clean thoroughly. But it is hard for my child to open by himself. You have to push down real hard for it to open, for this reason only this cup is not my favorite and I would say probably made for younger kids than my independent 3 year old. But if your looking for a good leak proof loveable straw cup to start your little one on, this is a good cup.

Sturdy bottle but hard to open spout

This is a very good quality water bottle. I love the bright orange color which is a nice departure from our current bottles. It’s a good size for my son for school or on the go and even in the house. I like that I can easily wash it in the dishwasher so I don’t have to do anything extra in terms of cleaning. The material of the bottle is very sturdy and I like that there is an indentation for easier gripping. The spout has to be manually opened to reveal the straw which is the only thing I don’t like about the bottle. I wish it had a button that automatically opened the spout instead because my son has a hard time opening the cover because it’s pretty hard. plastic insulation...

maybe I should have realized the insulation was plastic, but I didn't know "double wall insulation" meant plastic. maybe it's for safety, but my 10 month old is already drinking from my full size stainless steel water bottle on her own, so I wanted real insulation. in my opinion, it's too expensive for what it is. I don't think a "bite safe" straw really means much. there are plenty of water bottles with soft straws. To be fair, though, my daughter doesn't have teeth yet, so maybe I'll see the use in it once she does. I wish I would've just bought her a bottle meant for older kids, to be honest. 4 stars is being generous. I think the bottle may be useful for younger babies, and maybe I should've realized the insulation would be plastic
