The Powermatic 80 movement in my watch is averaging +3 seconds per day which would put it well within Official Swiss Chronometer Testing Institute COSC parameters of -4 sec to +6 sec per day. I'm not sure why the previous reviewer was unhappy with a mechanical watch being off by 10 seconds in a week. Even if he bought a Rolex he could expect it to be accurate to +2/-2 seconds per day, at best. Grand Seiko Hi-Beat movements are rated at to +5/-3 seconds per day. A mechanical movement off by a mere 10 seconds per week is providing Rolex-level accuracy for less than 1/10 the price.

High quality watch at a great value. A reputation for quality at a superior price I had looked for several weeks at reviews of many watches and considering what I wanted to pay for them this came out to be the highest quality at best price. Reviews showed the reputation that is well deserved by this Swiss watchmaker. Timeless designs, superior quality, ,great price.
No doubt it's a beautiful looking watch. The guilloche dial, although machine etched is still beautiful to look at and even up close it's well done. The rose gold case and the silvery-white dial adds another level of elegance. The gold sword hour and minute hands along with the gold Roman numerals, even though it's not an applied indices, it looks nice. My only complaint is even though it's a 39mm diameter, it certainly fits larger than the size suggests. It looks too big on the wrist for a dress watch. I have numerous 40mm watch and they look smaller on my wrist than this Tissot. If it was a 37mm watch, it would have been perfect. The leather strap with the deployment clasp is little stiff out of the box but that can be remedied with wear.

Bring the big 50 this year, I wanted to treat myself to a best watch. Having purchased a few hand wind / automatic wind watches over the last few years and then decided I didn’t like them, I came across this watch. Swiss made timepiece that I love. Minimal in design but has the class of any decent watch. While other people will not notice the subtle detailing, the guilloche dial, the sweeping second hand, the Roman numerals and the gold pleated rotor hidden behind the transparent case back..But you will, every time you glance down at your wrist.This is a sophisticated dress watch, with a very simple design. I highly recommend the Tissot Le Locle. It is a classic, and it is a great addition to any collector's drawer.
The extra attention to detail on this watch is something else. It’s see through back with detailed engravings around the edges of the back. It’s 80 hour power reserve is great for swapping between watches, still ticking and up to date when you want it next. Also does great as an every day watch with 3 bar water resistance and comfortable leather band. The manual winding feels and sounds how it should in a quality watch. When you hold the watch up to your ear, the heart beat’s tick is fast and satisfying to listen to. One of the best watches for someone not wanting to spend more than 1k, affordable but classy with great internals.
The watch itself is great. I considered purchasing from Raymond Weil, but this offers the same aesthetic at a lower price. If I had to again, I would pick this over a competitor. Only thing is the shipper of this product did not include the original box that Tissot would ship with. The Le Locle has a unique box that displays the town when opened and this came in a generic "Tissot" box. Thus far the watch is accurate for an automatic and it feels great. Leather is a little stiff, but I expect it to break it over time.
