THIS TOOLBOX ONLY HAS ONE FAULT AND THAT IS THA IT IS NOT COMPLETELY WATERPROOF - IT SHOULD HAVE A SEAL OF SILICONE AROUND THE INSIDE.OTHERWISE IT IS PERFECT

Light weight aluminum but does the job for me (on the draw bar of a caravan). It leaks probably due to being spot pressed and needs to be waterproofed with silicone or something. I think it is still good value for the right application (not for tradies as it is not tough enough).

After reading all the reviews on this box, I decided to seal all joints with silicone before using it. I also installed rubber edging on the top lip as I soon discovered that it has a very sharp edge.

Bought yesterday for toolbox on rear of caravan .I mounted it today.I removed the carry handles first as the were of no use plus they rattle too.Next I sealed around the lid so it wouldn't leak. The locking mechanism lives up to its name Croc! And thats what it is.A croc of you know what.I immediately replaced that with a quality one from Bunnings. At least now I can secure it with a decent padlock. With a bit of fine tuning it functions ok.typical of today's products. With a little bit more thought it could have been a lot better. But all in all its OK.
great lightweight aluminum toolbox -just what I was after at a very good price
Great box.Prefer this size with just the one lock. Found the bigger one's too annoying to open. Sharp edge inside bot easily fixed with plastic skirt . Fairly strong too. Overall great buy.
The only thing I can fault is the stupid paper stickers on them indicating it is a bulky item - they don't come off easily. Should be vinyl stickers that peel off easily.
There are sharp protrusions hanging down on the inside in the upper corners. These are from excess weld material flowing through the seam and forming a stalactite type of structure which can easily piece skin! The crocloc latch is installed slightly crooked so you need to apply a fair amount of sideways force/twist in order to get it to snap shut onto the staple on which it hooks...Fairly annoying issues, otherwise the toolbox is good value...
Works well but a little bit light duty than I expected . Serving its purpose as a extra toolbox on the caravan .
I recently traded my company ute for an suv and needed to reconfigure my setup for on-road vehicle recovery and repairs. After a bit of looking around I found this thunderbox toolbox was just the perfect size for my needs. It's lightweight so cuts down on payload and being aluminium it won't rust like my last big tool box. Has a convenient gas-strut for the lid and has an easy open latch which is padlockable. All in all I'm quite happy with it
