Thule Chasm 90L Duffel Bag Black

We purchased this bag to use in our Thule roof box its a perfect fit! We are on the road a lot for my husbands job and often away for several weeks so having a bag big enough to fit everything we need for multiple weeks is really important. I love that its not stiff so its easy to store when its empty and that its amazing quality so I don’t feel like it will break even if its over stuffed; I also really love that my dog would always get in the Thule bag before I finished packing it because he always wanted to make sure we bring him (he always came with us).

This duffel is so so so good! With a variety of sizes, outfit yourself with the perfect bag for the perfect holiday. I personally use mine in the winter as a snowboard boot accessory bag and in the summer for camping or boating. This bag has a great backpack feature with removable and interchangeable straps. Great bag, good amount of separate zips and pockets. Love it so much I have it in 3 sizes!

"Rugged" bag failed with light use while camping

I went camping with some friends and put this bag and another by Mountain Smith in the back of truck. It was resting against other bags and when I got home, I saw a rip in the end, with only light use. I have been tossing bags into trucks and cars forever and this is the first time I had a bag fail, and it is disappointing for one touted as "rugged" and more expensive than competitors offerings. I have reached out to Thule on this and they say this is "wear and tear" but this bags should not have ripped. Super disappointed. Will not buy again and will tell others to avoid as well.

A duffel for all purposes!

I bought the Thule Chasm prior to a month-long trip with my family to Europe. We wanted something packable that we could use for souvenirs. Rolled up, the Chasm fit comfortably in our suitcase on the way over. On the trip, it held up wonderfully, from one overhead bin to the next…durable and expandable, just as advertised.And though I cannot confirm this scientifically, there may be something magical about it, too, as it was the only bag that wasn’t misplaced on our return trip home…Buy this duffel with confidence! It’s a terrific product.

Best duffel out there!!

I bought this to transport gear on a backcountry trip, needing something roomy, waterproof, and durable. The Chasm 90 scores high marks on all points. And, good pricing, fast shipping and delivery were the icing on the cake! I highly recommend.

Big, Durable Duffle

This duffle is no frills, but it doesn't need any. The 70L is big enough to pack for any trip long or small. Compress it down with the straps and you have a backpack with all your clothes wherever you are going. Rain, snow won't matter due to the material. I love bags and love to buy new travel backpacks but after buying this I can't justify buying other bags. It does what I need it to do.

Pretty darn BIG

I bought this because of a pending trip to Africa, and it was advertised as the exact limit on measurement for my baggage restrictions. It's a nice bag, but my wife ordered a 70 and I think that is the better size for what we are doing.

Solid Bag

I bought this bag somewhat familiar with the Thule brand. It is built well with rugged materials and and niceattention to detail. The bag tapers at one end which may be annoying to some and not others. One criticism is that it doesn't come with a shoulder strap or a shoulder strap mounting point. The backpack straps are quite ergonomic and compact when not in use.There are several separate pockets but there is no 'wet laundry' or shoe storage section in the bag either.

Sturdy

I haven't used this bag yet that's why only a 4 star. I purchased to take to Africa coming up in September. It looks very well made, I like the mesh pockets inside which most duffel bags don't have. I will update my review once I have an opportunity to use the bag. I purchased based on online reviews & that I needed a soft sided bag to travel in small planes in Africa. The only thing I do not like it has no shoulder strap, I knew this buying it but sure do wish there was a detachable strap. Honestly can't believe there isn't!
