The spiral feature makes a huge difference when removing wax from ears. As natural product, the stem is obviously a lot weaker then the plastic counterpart. Highly recommend though.

Was pleased they came in a sturdy box as the Johnson?s ones don?t and that seems unhygienic. And the other cheaper ones available are in plastic packaging which isn?t the worst part in my opinion it?s the ?air/vent? holes in the packaging which also seems unhygienic for a personal care product. These are more expensive but was surprised how sturdy they are. They don?t bend. I?d preferred to have slightly more generous cotton wool on the ends but they don?t shed or unravel so overall, really impressed. I will definitely be getting these again.

I know a lot of eco friendly people suggest giving up cotton swabs all together but I just can't. Maybe in the future Earthhero will carry last swab and I will try it but until then I'll be using these. The bamboo stick makes them stiffer than what I am used to but I appreciate that. The cotton does not separate from it and they are very sturdy for cleaning. Say what you will about cleaning in your ears but these really help get all the nooks and crannies of the ear.

Excellent eco friendly cotton buds. Good value and ideal for putting eyeshadow on with, plus dipping in to eye makeup remover and cleaning off the dregs of mascara. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.
I really like these q-tips, they work great for makeup mishaps! The only thing I've noticed that is a little different is that if you're using them to apply anything like spot treatment, they will soak up a large portion of the product, probably since the cotton is higher quality. However, a great switch for that is to purchase a reusable silicone applicator, which you can just clean afterwards. I use a makeup "spatula" I had and it does the trick!
These are definitely high-quality swabs. I had switched from the standard cotton swabs to a plastic cleanable reusable alternative, but it was rough on the ears. This was a good middle ground between unsustainable disposables and plastic discomfort. My one complaint is that it's kind of expensive for only 100 swabs. The box arrived and I was a little disappointed by how much I was getting for my money.
On my quest to completely zero-waste my bathroom cabinet, these have come in very handy. They function just like regular q-tips but then I can throw them in the compost. Brilliant!
I like the idea of these ear buds being made from a sustainable source, but also expected a quality product. The first batch started to grow black mould, kept in a glass jar in the bathroom. Assuming this was a one off case I threw them out and purchased some more, within a month the same issue happened again and I had to through them away. I'm assuming this is due to condensation in the bathroom, but no other earbud has caused this issue and I'm honestly shocked that it grows mould! Please add some kind of coating so the product doesn't start to sprout mould spores! Sadly we've had to return to using the regular brand.
These swabs are a little stiff. They come in paperboard, not plastic, which is basically impossible to avoid in almost every store. I like the blue ones, i think they're fun. I will buy this product for as long as they make it.
I know you're not supposed to use these in your ear canals but a lot of people do things they're not supposed to, me included! The stick is very hard (obviously, because it's made from bamboo) and the padding on the tips is a little light which means you can hurt your ears if you're not careful. apart from that I do like the fact that they are more sustainable than plastic versions, and if you were to use them for their intended purpose (i.e. not foraging around in your ear canals to clear them of wax), then they pretty much do what they're supposed to.
