I've spent thousands on a quality home setup, but the purchase of the Moccamaster Thermal is hands down the best investment I've made. I've recently made the move to drinking more black coffee. I did my research and settled on the Moccamaster Thermal. I LOVE the look of it sitting on my bench. It really is a quality piece of gear. Being able to go back to it hours later and have a beautiful batch brew ready to pour makes my heart skip a beat. Love love love it!!!!!!!!

The Moccamaster allows one to serve multiple cups of well brewed coffee simultaneously; as such it's invaluable when entertaining. Although that was its intended use, one finds oneself making smaller half batches on occasions to satisfy ones coffee needs; after all when it comes to good coffee, who is satisfied with a single cup? The Moccamaster is a welcome addition to my arsenal of alternative brewing methods. I like the results, the look & its history.

The machine is simple and easy to use (I've found). Flawless and consistent in operation and coffee output.I followed the golden cup ratio initially (approx 80g coffee) giving me 10 shots of coffee in 1.2litres... that was too much for one person.. So I've adjusted that down to approx 45g of ground making it a little less heart palpatating for direct consumption as I drink it as a long black.

The old cheap machine burn out, just like all the other standard retail ones. It was time to go for something better. The Moccamaster Thermal ticks all the boxes: no glass, has replaceable parts, less energy required to run it. It brews quickly and efficiently, it is great quality; very much worth the money. Looking forward to using it for decades.
Fantastic! Perfect temperature, delicious, strong, smooth coffee every day! I’ve only been using it for a few weeks, the carafe is a little awkward to pour from but it keeps coffee warm well, much better than a warming plate as it saves power and doesn’t burn the coffee. Simple to use. Definitely recommend to anyone who drinks coffee every day!
Typical male, put it together, ground some fresh coffee, filled the tank etc..Poured two mugs for wife and myself. Tasted bad couldn't understand why. Eventually found the problem it was due to coffee grounds in brew. I inadvertently moved the selector switch on dide of filter down to restrict flow. Something you dont do for full pot. It overflowed the paper filter and leaked into pot. Sorted that issue and hasn't missed a beat since. Regards Dave
Love this machine for its solid build, good looks and excellent coffee results - it is a great time-saver compared to making multiple batches of pour-over or stove-top, especially now that my daughter has taken up the habit so there are 3 of us to feed. Loses one star only because the thermal version seemed like a good idea at the time but I wish I’d gotten the standard glass jug with heating plate instead. The thermal jug doesn’t seem to have great insulating properties compared to, say, a Yeti, and it has no pouring spout so tends to splash coffee everywhere.
Bought this little sucker in RED with the thermal carafe to slake my **** for something meatier than an Aeropress. Mission accomplished. This brews superbly, consistently, and best of all a large amount in one hit with only a few minutes of labour required for potentially a litre+ of coffee every day. Freshly ground beans yield very close to espresso machine black coffee quality to my taste buds. Even pre-ground coffee tastes excellent from this thing. Very happy with purchase.
I so wanted to love this, I've waited ages to afford it.But its really pretty average. The components are really plasticky and feel cheap. if you replace the jug lid with the vacuum seal to keep the coffee hot, the jug doesnt fit properly and all the flimsy plastic lifts and jerks around.it doesnt feel precision or solid.and I bought this one rather than the one with a hotplate because the hotplate only stays on for 40 minutes. Sure i get that maybe the coffee starts to go bitter a bit after that time stewing but i have always liked to make a big pot that lasts for the morning. Unfortunately the thermos doesnt keep the coffee hot much past an hour. this is an enormous disappointment.Im actually thinking of selling this and going back to a basic Breville.
the moccamaster makes it so easy to get a fantastic black coffee or coffee base for any other drink/delightful thing you may want!I love how the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot for ages; I can make a pot in the morning and drink it throughout the day!It's also amazing how quickly it heats up and dispenses the water for the grounds - surprising and very welcome.Finally, I love the coffee! It is clean, tasty and smooth with no sediment - I'm super impressed with the moccamaster and use it every day!Get one - you won't be disappointed!
