Everything works well with system. Very convenient to have AV, USB, Ethernet plugged it at home and connect/disconnect easily with one cable. Reliable and compatible with Win 10/11, plug and play. Nice that I can swap different laptops to the same dock. Even works on my old laptop that only has USB SS (no thunderbolt). Have one tor two different locations. Highly recommended.

Targus marketing is quite misleading. "Thunderbolt" in the description really means "Thunderbolt-compatible". The actual link to the laptop is "just" 10 Gbps USB 3.2 (or whatever is USB alliance calling it these days). Which means it uses DisplayLink for external monitors, and DisplayLink is a CPU hog that's next to impossible to get working on Linux. I hoped to use one cable for everything, but ended up plugging the monitor cable directly into the second TB port on the laptop (Lenovo X1 Carbon). It's still a decent setup that worked flawlessly for the last 1.5 years, but if I had researched this properly, I wouldn't have bought this device.

The docking station works very well once it comes online. Plenty of ports, no hiccups. However, after my laptop times out and turns off the monitor (i.e. after the computer has not been used for a while), then from the time you press a key on the keyboard, it takes like 20 seconds for the monitor to come on again. What should be an immediate wake-up seems like an age for the system to come alive.I am using a Hp Spectre 2-in-1 that is only 10 months old. Running windows 11.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the bundle was actually TWO docking stations. I'll give one to my son. Overall it's straight-forward and it works with my Dell Latitude laptop after I installed the Targus drivers. It's great that it has a 100w power supply bundled in. I have two displays attached, each with 2560x1440 resolution. There's a lag when dragging windows between screens, and I expect it would be too slow for gaming or any intense graphics. Fortunately my requirements are minimal.
I purchased this as a present for my wife to replace a cheap HDMI+USB dongle. My goal was additional USB ports and power delivery. When she installed it, I was surprised that it required the installation of a video driver. Her old dongle did not require this. It appeared to be working fine until she tried to watch any streaming video services such as Netflix. The sound would play, but the video was replaced with just a black screen. We have since learned that this is a DisplayLink adapter. It is essentially an external video card. DisplayLink has poor update rates, so can’t be used for intensive video applications such as gaming. It also can’t be used for displaying copy protected video content since the Mac DisplayLinkdriver does not support HDCP. I purchased the Targus with great expectations that I would be able to use my HP laptop with two additional monitors. After quite an effort, I was able to get the monitors to work, but not in the sequence I desired. I wished the Laptop to be on the far left. Instead, the Targus would only allow it to be sequenced in the middle. This is unacceptable.
I've had this docking station for a little over two weeks now. The ease of use and compatibility with all my devices is unbeatable. The docking station is working flawlessly for my professional and personal needs! For work, I have a macbook that I can connect the dock via type-c. I use it for charging, display both my external monitors with DP connection, keyboard/mouse and wired ethernet. The 100w is great for the macbook. For personal use, I have a razer laptop that I connect via usb-a because I do not need the charging feature since it requires 230w but still get the use of everything else!I couldn't imagine this product being any better than it is!
This was exactly what I needed for my new workstation setup. Everything I needed was in the box. That was a big bonus cuz I'm getting tired of having to go out and buy extra things for my gadgets. I found it super easy to set up had both monitors going and just the matter of minutes. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and everything's running smoothly and I feel like I can be more productive with this new setup. Unit itself isn't very big and is easily tucked away and hidden so it doesn't take up extra space on my desk.
This is an excellent product that I didn't realize how much I needed it. I am frequently bring my work computer home and attaching it to two external monitors, a headset and few other charger cords. It was always a big pain to plug and unplug all the cables everytime i used it. Since using this docking station my life is easier. It works great to power my laptop and all the devices I needed to attach. I have had zero issues with the dock to date. The only slight complaint I have is that the USB-C charging cord does not have a angle. I find it stick out some and occasionally gets in my way. I did buy a right angle adapter and now it's perfect.
I was absolutely thrilled to be offered the chance to try out this product! This USB-C docking station is exactly what I needed to unite my display setup for my home office. The dock itself is small, but man does it pack a punch! My setup is a 24" 1920 x 1200 monitor and a 4K UHD 27" and the docking station allows me to display my screen on both with ease and grace. Aside from its compact size which hardly takes up any space, it also simplified my workspace by allowing me to get rid of the troublesome, extra USB-C to HDMI dongles that I'd purchased, one for each monitor, AND the laptop charger! That's right, I'd completely missed the fact that the docking station would project my screen and charge my laptop at the same time! The setup was very simple, there's was only a slight confusion in regards to what exact driver needed to be downloaded and from where. My only other concern is that when disconnected from the docking station, my computer's desktop icon grid will be thrown out of whack. I think it may be a resolution issue, I'm not exactly sure. But I find myself having to restart Windows Explorer to resolve the issue. Other than that, this is a definitely value add to the home office!
