Tamron 28-300mm F/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD for Sony
A travel-friendly zoom with a sweeping focal range, the 28-300mm f/4-7.1 Di III VC VXD Lens from Tamron gives users the ability to capture wide-angle scenes as easily as intimate close-ups. Designed for Sony E-mount mirrorless camera systems, this lens has a complementary lightweight design, weighing just 1.3 lb. Handheld shooting is bolstered by Tamron's Vibration Compensation (VC) technology, providing the necessary camera shake reduction needed for capturing at telephoto focal lengths. Its moisture-resistant design coupled with a fluorine coating on the front lens element contributes to its overall dependability out in the field and helps prevent users from being hindered by liquids, dust, and fingerprints sticking to the lens glass. Because of its vast zoom range, build quality, and portability, the 28-300mm f/4-7.1 offers a capable all-in-one solution for capturing subject matter ranging from landscapes and nature to portraits and sports.

This lens is super lightweight. The focal range is awesome but it does come with the cost of aperture being pretty small. On top of that the sharpness is significant worse compared with 28-200 or 50-400.

Used it the first time last night. I'm impressed with it's low light performance as well as the sharpness of the images I took. I'm very happy with the lenses overall quality. The lens certainly meet my expectations. I think this lens will be my go-to lens. B&H does it again. Fast delivery and great service. I originally bought the Tamron 28-200mm zoom but one week after purchase Tamron announced the 28-300mm lens. I contacted B&H immediately and ordered the new 28-300mm lens. I sent back the old 28-200mm lens. The same day B&H received the old lens, I was credited the purchase amount. I could not be happier with their service. B&H rocks.
