There's just something that feels so old school to me about arcade style fighter games like Street Fighter. They always remind me of my child hood and lining up my quarters on the gaming unit to claim my place in line for next turn to challenge the winner. These games are always more fun when there's more contenders involved. Versus matches against the system get boring and predictable after a while and there's something about the skill that another opponent brings to the table that just make the win seem much sweeter than just being the game. At the risk of sounding cliche my favorite character is Chun Li. Great Figthing Game
24 June 2014

I just started to play Super Street Fighter Game, I wanted to see what the game look like. I like this game, because the colors that pop out in this game and it kind of looks like 2D when on some of the fights you have kids or older people in the back round cheering you on. And the Bonus Round is different to where you have to smash a car or break barrels as they are coming down. I like where you punch or kick, I'm playing arcade mode and it looks really good. I own a lot of PS3 games [Shooters] And now I was looking for games that I had missed, I came across this game and it was given a 4 1/2 star. I also read the Reviews on it. I will read Reviews on a game or watch a video on a game before I buy it. If you haven't played Super Street Fighter IV- Get it.

Great Price for Game
5 November 2013

I decided to buy this game because most of my friends have it. I checked other stores and it was still expensive. So I thought I would give Walmart a try and show that this game was inexpensive, but Pre-Owned. I haven't had great results with Pre-Owned, but I thought I would give it another try. Well to be honest, I don't know if this game was ever owned at all. The game case was in great condition, the instruction booklet had never been looked out and the game disc....Absolutely nothing wrong with it. I'm just wondering if it was just opened for and then resealed to be sold as Pre-Owned. This was the best decision I have made in buying this game.

Not your typical Street Fighter

This is the vanilla/standard version that is the only version that can be played on XBOX One. If you have a 360 or PS4, you're better off getting the complete Ultra Street Fighter 4 for a few dollars more.Because of the transition from 2D to 3D, it doesn't feel the same. The chunky character design will have you relearn the timing of the game. It's cumbersome to pull of the moves on the XBOX controller, too. The crayon-like graphics/color scheme doesn't appeal to me. I'd prefer a more realistic graphic style like Tomb Raider or Dark Souls. Since Capcom has declared Street Fighter 5 exclusive to PS4 and PC, no other Street Fighter ports from 360, this is your only choice if you desire to play Street Fighter on XBOX One. Still the Same Old Crappy Game, but with New Graphics
3 April 2009

Possibly one of the worst fighter games ever created--sure, the game was good for 1991, but that was 18 years ago--games have evolved a lot since then. Unfortunately, this is just the same old 1991 game with 2009 graphics. Imagine if instead of making Mario 64, Mario Sunshine, and Mario Galaxy, Nintendo just remade Super Mario 3, except with better graphics? Yeah, Street Fighter IV is like that. The Street Fighter series has possibly the worst user-interface ever designed. There are six, yes, SIX attack buttons, all of which do largely the same thing (light kick, medium kick, heavy kick, light punch... etc.)--most fighter games get by just fine with 2 - 3 attack buttons--god knows why Capcom decided they needed 6. Worse yet, because they wasted all their available-buttons on redundant attacks, there is no block button--blocking and back-steping are the same thing, retarding your ability to do both. It gets worse. In order to use any worthwhile moves as your character, you have to memorize and enter inane (character-specific) and unecessarily complicated controller commands, and inputting these commands is very tricky and unreliable--if the timing of your command-inputting is slightly off, nothing will happen. Control-stick forward, back, hold, forward back, kick, kick, kick? Why don't you just let me pull off my special-move by pressing the L-trigger or L-button (which are unused buttons)? Isn't it possible to create a more reliable and simple user-interface? The interface is so absurd that people will be impressed by your ability to pull off basic character-specific moves. No doubt the "elites" of the Street Fighter community will decry and mock my suggestion of simplifying the control interface. Because then most of the difference between newbs and good players would disappear--a majority of the "skill" in this game derives simply from mastering its artifically complicated interface. Of course, the game in no way tries to teach you how to play itself, so few people do master its interface, and simply resort to mashing buttons. (The majority of the people who pick up this game will never understand it--they simply mash buttons the whole time until they find a better game to play.) Also, this is still a 2D fighter game, meaning it lacks side-stepping, which would have added a new dimension of strategy to the game. Instead they use jumping as an ad-hoc stand-in for the side-step. The attacks are also too fast (and look retarded because of it--Vega can throw 4 knees a second?)--the ability to see things coming and counteract them is a basic element of most other fighter games. The character designs largely suck too--Guile has the stupidest hairstyle ever and no forehead, Chun-li's thighs are way too thick, Ryu is the most generic looking martial artist ever conceived, Ken is a repaint of the most generic martial artist ever conceived, Blanka looks plain retarded, etc. Most of the character-designs are simple stereotypes (though there are a few original characters). The only positive thing I have to say about this game is that visually, it has some very nice style, the cut-scenes are a nice addition, and I like the music too. Online play is well-handeled too, but the game itself sucks so the point is moot.

Street Fighter 4!
5 November 2021

This game is a classic. I remember when it came out. It was great to see the world of SF in a new light. SF4 is amazing and super fun to play. Game is full of content and it one of the last capcom games that actually let you unlock characters like the good days. This is still a fantastic game even though capcom released 3 other version a must have if you a fan of fighting games and SF4.
