Go Heat by Sunbeam: pricy and very deceptive gimmickry. Much as I'd like to, the system doesn't allow ZERO star and it encourages you to list the Pros and Cons. Most objectively, this product sorely lacks any Pro benefits. I would have said "reasonably light to carry" but, unfortunately, it isn't when you consider that, for it to work at all, you'd have to carry with it a power brick and not just any power brick. It has to be as powerful as 2 amps or more. Sunbeam should reconsider this product top to bottom, including its deceptive name. In 2021, a Go electric product would be expected to operate with a built-in rechargeable battery - and one that can deliver adequate heat for a decently large area and a longer time than they mention in the instructions. I would ... MoreGo Heat by Sunbeam: pricy and very deceptive gimmickry. Much as I'd like to, the system doesn't allow ZERO star and it encourages you to list the Pros and Cons. I have MS and severe scoliosis and use heating pads constantly for the pain. I needed a heating pad for my car. The description of the pad made it seem like this one just needed to be plugged in to my computer, a power bank, or car. This is not true. It only slightly got warm when plugged into my laptop. If that is the warmest that it ever gets, then this pad is a sad product. It would not work on the jump starter my mechanic husband uses to jump start dead car batteries and charge the tools he uses. It is literally one of the strongest yet smallest power banks on the market with USB ports. This product would have been a game changer for me and made me more mobile for everyday life. It was a true disappointment. If you buy it, even buying at least a $50 power bank ... MoreI have MS and severe scoliosis and use heating pads constantly for the pain. Alot of the reviews state that it doesn't work with a power bank, and I wish I had read those before ordering. I was so busy that I didn't have time.

Bought this thinking oh this is great, ever since Nora took away their portable heating pads I’ve been looking for a replacement. Thought I found it with this. Needs to be put in big black letters on the front that you still need a portable charger and even if you leave it plugged in over night it doesn’t hold a charge. Maybe mines defective? Plus, it doesn’t fit most portable chargers. It’s funny because this price does not reflect what you expect and what you get. Just a smaller heating pad…. Definitely not portable… it’s definitely not worth the 35 plus tax, so 40 bucks for this…. Now you have to hope you have a portable charger that fits their plug or spend more money. So save your money, time and energy and just get a regular heating pad. Both do the same thing ... MoreBought this thinking oh this is great, ever since Nora took away their portable heating pads I’ve been looking for a replacement. Thought I found it with this. I absolutely love this heating pad! Yes you need your own battery pack or power source (usb) but I think that’s a plus. In this day and age we all have a million different power packs laying around so I don’t mind that one isn’t included. It doesn’t get as hot as a full size heating pad but it definitely gets hot enough and is comfortable for all day use, I can’t use a full size that long as they get to hot and can lead to burns if used for prolonged periods. I wish I had this many years ago! My only complaint with this unit is sometimes the strap can be annoying I.e. it likes to bunch up in the buckle area, only happens occasionally, could be fixed with some at home sewing.
First off, people are reviewing this based on USER ERROR. You need a power bank or to hook this to a laptop or computer to get the correct wattage, which IS explained in the directions. YOU NEED A POWER BANK TO BE PORTABLE. This item gets very hot on just the first setting. If your item blinks white and doesn't just stay green a second, then you have an incorrect power source. This comes with a heating pad and extension cord. They didn't try to fool you, you're just not experienced and that's OK. But please, read the manual. Look up things you don't understand. If it says it needs a power source and that power source needs a certain wattage or voltage...FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AND UNDERSTAND WHAT THOSE DIRECTIONS ARE BEFORE SLANERING AN AMAZING PRODUCT
I ordered the Sunbeam Go Heat about two weeks ago and had a chance to use it today after a day of sledding with my son and a resulting sore shoulder. The pad is comfortable, soft, and flexible. It has an adjustable elastic strap that lets you keep the pad in place on your legs, arms, shoulders, etc. Velcro lets you wrap the pad around your leg, arm, etc., and tighten the strap to ensure it stays in place. The pad uses a standard USB A connector and has a USB A extension cord, almost 5 feet long. The cord is fairly light duty and can only only carry so much current. After plugging the cord into a USB A power source (including a powerbank if you have one, for ultimate portability), you press the black, rubberized button. The heater has three settings. The built-in LED (green, yellow, red) let's you know the heat level you're using. I used the hottest setting (red). The pad heated up in about 2 minutes and maintained a consistent heat. FWIW, the heat was decent, for a portable heating pad. It's nowhere near the hottest setting on my full-sized heating pad, but I didn't expect it to given it uses a USB cable. If needed, you can spray the pad for moist heat. All-in-all, the pad worked fairly well and will be great to keep on hand for sporting events and other times when I need portable heat. But, it will never replace my full-sized heating pad. So, a solid 4 stars, for what it is.
I love that the Sunbeam GoHeat USB powered heating pad is conveniently portable, compact and lightweight. This is a versatile, travel friendly item that can be moved about with ease, and utilized for both indoor and outdoor use. The rechargeable unit has three heat settings, which make it possible to precisely control how much heat is generated, and an auto-off feature after two hours of continuous use. An adjustable velcro strap wraps easily, and ensures that the small heating pad stays in place wherever you need it. The unit can provide targeted heat therapy for multiple areas of the body. Additionally, I like to place the unit on my stomach to soothe stomach cramps. This superb, soft heating pad is comfortable to wear, can be worn discreetly under clothing, and is machine washable. I have found the heating pad to be invaluable in helping me to keep functioning and going about my day, whether I’m at home, in the car, or traveling.
#Sunbeamgiftedme this product in exchange for an honest review. This is such a great idea, finally come to realization!! I have a bladder disease and Endometriosis, so I cramp and hurt alot in my pelvic area. I usually keep a heating pad near my bed all the time & in the den & I keep a small, hand made rice pack heating pouch for on the go, I can take the rice pouch with me but it only stays hot for ab an hour. But THIS is totally portable, plugs into anywhere with USB charging port & is smaller than a regular heating pad, so it's easier to take with you. I like the idea of the strap that's attached on one side & can fit around you & velcro onto the other side. However, I think that belt strap should be a longer strap to fit ALOT of sizes, it may fit around me, but ... More#Sunbeamgiftedme this product in exchange for an honest review. This is such a great idea, finally come to realization!! However, I think that belt strap should be a longer strap to fit ALOT of sizes, it may fit around me, but it won't fit around someone larger in the tummy area. The strap also digs into your skin, idk if that could be fixed with a padded strap or what? I do like the idea of the strap, bc it allows it to ideally stay in place when moving...but the USB cord itself prevents you from moving too much, just the length of the cord, so unless you use this on your arms or legs, the band is a little unnecessary. I like the little pouch that can fit the USB cord & attachment, I like the idea of having the pouch be larger so it could hold the strap instead of it hanging down when not in use.

i love this thing but im using it as a heated base layer, not muscle relief. its a mediocre heating pad, if your looking for relief. i would say it hangs out around 110°. nice and cozy but not a penetrating heat.but if your in search of a cheap alternative to heated jackets, this thing is amazing. it huggs nicely to the body, and for the most part is comfortable all day long. no gigantic bulky batteries and adapters, wear whatever layers you want. it doesnt blouse around while climbing, crawling, or just generally working.and i can use the portable batteries I have on hand.do yourself a favor and grab some velcro to slap on your batteries, and you wont have to worry about using the extension or wearing out the plug.
