Stihl HLA 135 K 36V Li-ion Cordless Long Reach Hedge Trimmer (HA04-200-0005)

Great bit of kit, it is as powerful as my HL85 without the noise. I converted to stihl battery hedge cutters over 3 years ago as I found them to be so much lighter and quieter to use, but they did lack a little bit of power, but in my mind the HLA135 with its 3 speed settings and superb cutting head takes battery cutters to another level! I’ve waited to get one since they were advertised in spring 2021, well worth the wait!Placed my order with Gustharts on Friday afternoon received it next day, great service as usual!

Best pruners you can buy

I really love my pole pruners, they have a good reach, low noise level, zero emissions, and function as good as the gas pruners. The battery has a great run Time and I'll be planning to but more stihl battery tools.

Easy to use

Just purchased this thing as I just started my own lawn business. It feels sturdy, starts easy, has just enough power and is comfortable/easy to use. Granted I’m just started and have only used it 5-6 times, regardless… I’m loving it!!

Great performance, better have some endurance!

6 months and STIHL loving it! This is my first battery powered piece from Stihl, and it is a amazing unit! It blows through woody brush like salal, huckleberry, and blackberries like a breeze. This has great reach for high reaching vines and is also convenient to hedge along my road as I have about a 150 feet of road frontage that is one giant salal hedge. I can stand on the shoulder of the road and give the entire hedge a nice flat top without stepping into the hedge itself. I think the only downside to this is it isn't a machine that your wife or mother can easily wield. That is unless they're from Alaska or the deep South! With the battery pack installed, its a fairly hefty rig after about a half hour/45 min ++ of use- you'll start feeling it in your forearms and ... More6 months and STIHL loving it! A young guy in good shape shouldn't have any issues.I have had zero problems with this unit, and it works like a dream. The articulating head comes in very handy when you want to sling the main unit over your shoulder using the included strap but dont want to keep flipping the control box sideways to achieve desired results.I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quality hedger that does quality work!

Light weight; good battery life

I have been using my hedge cutter for 5 years. Cutter blades are still sharp and the original battery has plenty of power. Used trimmer at least 4 times per season for 2 days at a time.

My Best Yard Tools

I have multiple batteries and attachments for the work I do on our 1 acre home lot. I love doing work in the yard and my STIHL tools make the work much easier. I cannot imagine using gas powered equipment.

My favorite pole hedge trimmer

I used to run the HL94 and before those I ran the HL100 gas hedge trimmers. Those were both fantastic trimmers and I still have an old HL100. Now that I bought this new HLA135 battery I don’t plan on going back to gas.This trimmer is crazy powerful, I’ve been in hedges were I’ve had to cut stuff as thick as my thumb and it just blazed through without a problem. It’s way quieter and easier to use than the old gas trimmers.My only complaint would be the price, but it’s a great trimmer so I think it’s worth it.Overall: 10/10

Perfect Tool with excellent features

It's been a year already and used this cordless hedge trimmer with extension pole multiple times. I have a 400ft hedge of cedar's approximately 12ft high, extraordinary tool which allows me to do the entire hedge less than a day.

I purchased this after some heavy research, purchased along with an HSA100 hedge cutter, batteries and fast charger. I decided it was time to leave the 2 stroke world behind, tired of the noise, vibration, yearly costs, etc as well as the weight. I was using a KM94R kombi with the hedge cutter attachment which was 4" too short. If I'd gone the cordlesss kombi route with a 24" hedge cutter it would have been over £700 for that setup alone, so the cost was part of the decision. The design, ergonomics and many other factors made me choose this and I'll say it straight. a 100% positive purchase. Cutting hedges, even tops of hedges is so much more enjoyable, more comfortable and pleasureable. When you receive this in it's box, setup is only a few minutes and very easy to do, then you're up and running. the 135 series cordless systems are based on the KMA135, so the motor is with the battery and a professional shaft runs from the motor to the tool, so fitting the tool such as the hedge cutter head is a breeze. So, if you want your hedges looking their best, purchase the HLA135, you won't regret it. Wide tooth spacing, an absolute ton of power, variable speed with 3 speed selections and a variable throttle, strap included for operator comfort when working at height, etc. What more can you ask for?

Works terrific !

My fiance and I bought this a little over a year ago and couldn't be more pleased with it. It works great ,is easy to use and is not heavy ! One of the reasons we bought this is because our old one was too bulky and heavy. This product is neither one ,I can even use it. I highly recommend this product !
