Plug and play. Spent ages attempting to do this myself. With LED headlights and the the stupid postive earth from factory I couldn't figure out how to get a signal to relay for light bars. I could get all working but when turning the lights off and shutting the car down the spot weren't turning off unless everything was turned on and off, plus sometimes the lightbar would come on with low beam. Couldn't be bothered figureing out my own light IC to do this. Not worth the time and effort when the Stedi unit is so good value and works so well.

A good set up, however it would be good if the headlight pigtails was to the same standard as the rest of the harness. A very loose fit socket n pins, needed to be bound n set to make a well secured connection. Also some directions as to the need to bare metal requirements of the relay.... yes or no....don't like removing paint if not required. Would suggest a rectangular switch option also as my BT50 does not have any round switches similar to what was provided. These small improvements wold make it a true BT50 plug n play harness. Overall easy to fit works well n would still highly recommend $ for what you get.

Took it to a mechanic to get them wired to my stedi lights. Mechanic said he had a horrible time doing it and one of the parts fell out of circuit board thing meaning he needed to by pass somthing to make it work. Took him over 3 hours to do. Went with this harness thinking it would he quality. Was proven wrong. May as well have went with a cheap harness and possibly had headaches with that

I've been struggling to find a plug and play harness that's capable of providing more than 20 amps for some time.... Once I ordered the Stedi harness it was express posted from Melbourne to Brisbane in less than 24 hours. I was impressed with their service and I hadn't even connected it yet.I used this harness to connect a 7200 lumen light bar (7 amps) on my bull bar and a 21600 lumen light bar (20 amps) on my roof racks - its worth noting that my Suzuki is negatively switched. I also purchased a DTP extension cable so my roof rack light bar would reach more easily. It couldn't have been easier. Really good quality harness and quite easy to install. What I did notice though was that fitting to my Prado with negative switching and using the genuine type switch, to get the switch illumination to function correctly I could not use the black wire from the harness assy. I had to earth it to the body so that the switch would tell me if the button was depressed and the lights were ready to come on with high beams. I would lose the earth if I used the black wire from the harness. Other than that is was fantastic.
Puchased the smart harness for my new Toyota Hiace Van. The instructions were very clear and the harness is very good quality. Everything needed to fit and connect was included and ended up being a very straight forward job. The dash switch wasnt really in keeping with the van, so I puchased a matching switch to complete the job. Extremely happy.
Absolutely love the products from Stedi they are off the charts! Can’t wait to get some new spotties!Something that Stedi may or may not benefit from is that I would be even more happy if they made plug an play kits for each vehicle of the new day, yes I do understand that this is difficult, but when your not a auto leccy an buying a plug an play it does get a bit confusing.. but doing a harness that suits specific vehicles an detailed instructions for that vehicle would be mint! I have a colarado an it takes a H1 piggy back unfortunately an is not the easiest car to work with. So hope you guys may look into those lines in the future for customers to come!But for now don’t stop making awesome products! Amazeballs with your products! Thank you soo much!
After trying a generic wiring harness from a large online 4WD retailer, I couldn't get my driving lights to work, even with the Prado 150 piggyback adaptor. So I purchased and installed a Stedi smart harness and a Toyota style/factory look switch, plugged it all together with the piggyback and it works perfectly. Even the switch has the same blue colour illumination as the other factory switches. Easy to follow instructions, and tutorial videos make installation an easy step by step process.Of note too, is the heavy gauge wire for the positive and negative battery connections, which are also of sufficient length to enable installation of the relay in most locations. I must admit that when i fitted my lightbar to my forester i found myself with a slight hesitation as to where i should go for a loom. After a search online i found this and reading the reviews i pulled the trigger and boy! Am i glad that i did. More than enough wiring to get the switch to the dash area i wanted it. Easy instructions to follow and after a simple splice if the existing plug to the wiring on the led bar it flashed into life. Super happy with the loom and will be buying more products from stedi especially with how fast it shipped out!
During a simple LED Light Bar install on a 2006 Subaru Forester, I was surprised to find out that the high beam headlamps are negative switched on that vehicle. The Light Bar which was purchased from a cheap cheap online retailer, came with a cheap and nasty positive switched loom. I have used the STEDI Smart Loom on a Nissan Navara LED light-bar install before and it was a straight forward installation. So to resolve the issue on the Forester, I ordered a Smart Loom from STEDI on a Sunday night and had it on my door step by Tuesday afternoon.The installation was as straight forward on the Forester as it was on the Navara. Neat, tidy, easy. Gotta love the STEDI gear.
