I bought this Staub knob for my Le Creuset Dutch oven because while I did want a Le Creuset, staub knobs allow you to customize your cookware ! While these are 2 different brands you can totally screw a staub knob on le creuset. All you need is a screw driver ! I absolutely love the result.

I have a large collection of Staub cocottes in various sizes and colors and each one sports a Staub animal knob. Not only do they look adorable on the cocottes and add a touch of whimsy, but they make it easier to pick up the lids due to shape and size. My friends always comment on how cute the animal knobs look on my cocottes. I love my little (well, large) barnyard collection of animal knobs and highly recommend. The pig is my favorite. I agree with an earlier reviewer and wish W-S would carry the rabbit and cow that seem to be available only in Canada and Europe (have had to purchase these knobs from international websites).

I have all four animal knobs--the rooster, pig, fish, and snail. The rooster came with my Staub Coq-a-Vin, and the fish came with my Staub Mariner pan. I received the other two through Williams-Sonoma's promotional that they offered last year. In Europe and Canada, Staub offers cow and rabbit (hare) knobs. Could Williams-Sonoma inquire about offering the cow and rabbit/hare knobs in the U.S.? Merci!!

I waited long for this restock and once Staub announced it on their Instagram I immediately went here to purchase it. Installing the knob is pretty easy and I replaced it with my rabbit one from the 6-Qt. Metallic Blue Wide Round Cocotte. It paired very well. Staub also took into consideration the flawless design of being able to lift the knob with your fingers. The fish is adorable and a great purchase.
Very nice quality and looks wonderful. I have several different knobs and they are all so fun and functional. Please make more farm animals to the collection, love them all.
Just started our farm and had caves born this year. Perfect surprise Christmas gift for my husband who loves to cook.
It's a great piece. Just know that once installed, it won't fit back in the box with the lid upside down. It's just a few mm too large to fit even with the plastic bumpers to separate. It hits the inside metal and will scratch or possible dent if you leave it on the shelf. Even with a towel between the lid upside dowb and base, they will contact. But if you don't plan on storing this with lid upside down, with the fish lid on, you're good.
I purchased the poultry knob. Would look great on any Staub! Love the way it makes my oval dutch oven look extra fancy especially when I'm cooking a chicken dish. Now I need the lobster knob for myseafood dishes:(
Was this a need? No.Was it a want? Yes.Besides, Staub knobs are too small to grab with a pot holder. Maybe that's the reason Staub has us buy them and intententionally makes them small. I don't blame them. The knobs are a work of art. It's such a joy to look at them.
I love my Staub cookware but the standard knobs are a bit small. I added the fish knob to one of my braisers and it's much easier to grip and lift. Plus it looks great when I use the braiser for poached salmon. I also have the chicken knob on my Staub coq au vin cocotte. It, too, looks great and makes it easier to lift the lid. Treat yourself to these well made accessories!
