Just got this set. I mean it to replace a cocotte (4qt with glass lid) and braiser (3.5 qt from a sukiyaki/braise and grill set) that have been spending a lot of time on my stove. Great 5 piece stackable set with (limited) lifetime warranty. Please note that the 5 piece is really the 4 piece set and separately the pan. The set comes with rubber buffers but the pan does not. To purchase the extra one pair of buffers is another $25(ish). Great set though and I hope they last the rest of my lifetime given the price.

Excellent purchase. I was searching for a Dutch Oven large enough to roast a whole chicken. Yes it does. I purchased aleg of lamb from Costco and after 1.5 hours, if was fall-apart tender and JUICY. I've braised lamb loins on the griddle, covered and stuck in the oven. Phenomenal! The price is right. Not cheap, but we're discussing Staub Dutch Ovens. Must buy set. My only desire is to purchase an additional lid if I'm cooking and baking simultaneously

I bought the stackable years ago for a great price $260! I have been waiting to pull the plug for over 2 years! I also got the heart pot for $80 after valentines & it is gorgeous! I use at least one piece each day! If I need a second lid I use an old one from another pot! So big deal, I done feel I miss it!
I have always wanted a complete set of porcelain coated cast iron cookware - but I have a very small kitchen and space is at a premium. When I found this stackable set I pulled the trigger and couldn't be happier. I have a Chasseur 8qt that I had bought some years ago. These Stayv have easier to grip handles and the cast iron I think is a bit thinner so feel a bit lighter than the trusty ole Chasseur. I was interested to see how the dimpled lid worked compared to the relatively simple one on the Chasseur. Pretty amazing difference. When you take the lid off the Chasseur you have to tilt it and let a large amount of liquid go back in the pot, it seems to gather on the lid. I purchased this set 3 years ago. It brought back my joy of cooking! I wanted this set for 2 years and finally pulled the plug when I got a deal for $300. Over time I added the heart 2.5 quart and the 13" fry pan and it is the only cookware I have! yes I use it for everything! it makes me feel special! Think about it, you get 3 pots for the price of one & it is beautiful to look at. I feel bad about the customer with the chip! I do baby the set but had no such issue after all this time. I do recommend take the black marks on bottom right away so it doesn't build up! It is the ONLY cookware I have as I don't believe in excess. My kids are always arguing who gets it when I'm gone!
Perfect wedding gift or housewarming. The three pans can handle almost all of your cooking needs. The 5 1/2 quart Dutch oven is perfect for soups, stews and baking bread! The braiser is awesome for sautéing, frying and ideal for one pot dishes. The grill pan is amazing with its deep grill lines providing a beautiful sear to all your meats, fruits and vegetables. The inside is an extremely durable enameling that doesn't require seasoning and can stand up to some pretty rough treatment. The outside enameling is not only beautiful but durable as well. I love how easily they stack and store. They even come with rubber protectors to protect the rims during storage.
It's BEAUTIFUL! It's Thoughtful! It's Multiple options in one FABULOUS unit.I started my Staub journey with a 12 inch traditional Fry pan in Cherry. I LOVE it SO much that it lives on my Stovetop. I then bought a Staub Grill pan in Cherry to try it out. It works great! I have my eye on a Staub traditional deep Skillet in Cherry to add to my growing Staub cookware. NOW, I saw this STACKABLE unit of perfection and it's PERFECT! It incorporates many useful products into one AMAZING cookware unit. Honestly, it's just what I wanted! KUDOS to Staub for their innovative thinking and their execution is even better! THANK YOU STAUB!!! :^)
I fell in love with staub pans when I first started collecting the vegetable shapes (pumpkin, tomato, asparagus). Worth every penny as they are durable, beautiful, and I throw them in the dishwasher without any problems. Cooking on them is also a dream. I agree with the other reviewer who said they wished they'd done this long ago. I know this set will last me the rest of my life. No more paying high prices for fancy names that I end up throwing out. The sage is not a solid color (has little speckles) but still beautiful! Saving to buy another set just because I love it so much! The only very slight con is they are heavy (my stepmother has arthritis in her hands and cannot use heavy pots; only reason I'm mentioning!) but that is also what makes them so durable!
I purchased this type because of it's so versatile with the 4 pieces. I like that the Staub Dutch Oven has taller sides and is easier to store in my kitchen cabinets. The self basting lid really does help to redistribute moisture in the pot. Looking forward to cooking many more delicious meals.
