I was looking for the Le Creuset braser but couldn’t find the nectar color I wanted, out of stock. And I was dreading the price! Then out of the blue, I see my second choice, Staub, a Braser with glass lid at a very affordable price and color turmeric! Bingo! My husband and I fight for it in the kitchen! It’s only 3.5 qt but we easily get 4 meals from it. It has the broad base for sautéing without the lid, the high lid for building up steam with it on, the visibility through the glass for taking a peek when in the oven, the reduced weight due to a glass lid but it cooks like a dream and we’ve even baked bread in it. So thrilled with our find from Food52, it covers all our bases. Maybe later we’ll spring for a deeper size to accommodate soups and stews for freezing.

This is not a pot/pan; but a great braiser. It is called braiser for a reason. LOL. This makes delicious stews! Instead of bake your poultry or meat, try this braiser. The cast iron material makes this braiser one of the best cooking you'll ever made using a right recipe! I have also used it to make stir fry veggies. Great product! However, because of its material, DON'T dream about getting good result frying eggs or pancakes in this!

I LOVE this Staub pan and wish I'd purchased it much earlier in my years of cooking for family. It sears meats beautifully and cleans up easily. I've recently made a perfect paella in it. The domed lid fits well. Note that it is a heavy pan and I need to be cautious removing it from the oven, pulling the rack out first before I lift out the pan by the two handles, having planned exactly where I will set it down. It's just a great pan. Already, my daughter and granddaughters are (gently) teasing about who will inherit it!

I purchased the Heritage All-Day Pan not realizing I was purchasing the Heritage EVERY-day Pan! Not a day has gone by that I haven't used this versatile piece. Braised pork chops, searing ribeye steaks, French toast on the weekend, seasoned chicken thighs, etc.Works incredibly well on my induction cooktop, washes up fast by hand or in the dishwasher - what's not to love!?! I just keep on my cooktop now just assuming that I'll be using to prepare the next mill. Sadly, my other pans have gotten quite jealous.
I have been in love with this beautiful, useful pan for quite a while. Imagine how excited I was to finally purchase it and have it in my home! Right away I wanted to make my husband a beautiful fried egg as he loves them and this pan seemed the ideal pan to create the fried egg of his dreams!Unfortunately not. I am not a newbie to cooking. I am a seasoned and well trained cook. However, I put olive oil in the pan, heated it to temperature, cracked the eggs in a bowl and poured the eggs into the oil when it reached a medium temperature. And the eggs stuck to the bottom of the pan like glue. So disappointing. My dream of crisp, perfect fried eggs died a miserable death as I had to scrape the eggs off the pan.So now, there is no way to go back. Everything sticks to the bottom of the pan.I am planning to season the pan in the traditional way, but since it's enameled I am not very hopeful to make it non-stick. I would have prefered to pay half the price of this pan and gotten a plain old cast iron pan that I could rely on to become non-stick.Would love to know if there's a way to fix this!!
I've made a lot of online purchases over the years, and this is my first written review for a company site. Purchasing online through Sur la table was a perfect experience. The product pictures and description were incredibly helpful and totally accurate, online ordering was easy, and the billing and follow up by Sur la table was quick and professional. Sur la table even emailed me the day before my new pan was delivered, as a friendly reminder. The Stab All-Day pan is Heaven, easily the best piece of cookware I've ever used. The pan does everything they say it will, and it's very easy to clean. I've even made a promise to my Staub All-Day pan (it's a beautiful green) that I will never put it in the dishwasher - we're that close, already. The packaging by Staub was sturdy and elegant, and the pan arrived with a booklet describing care and use suggestions (in many languages) and a French flag colored ribbon tied around the knob of the glass dome. This has to be one of the best pieces of cookware ever created. The Staub All Day pan would be an amazing gift for a loved one, or for a self-indulgent creature like me....... Bon Appetit.
This is a great pan for sauces or anything using liquid. It is not really nonstick for me, though maybe it will get there with use. But I still use my cast iron for anything needing a good crispy finish or nonstick benefits instead of this, but that is fine by me as both are well made and good for me and my food. I love the lid on this and it also fits my cast iron, so that is a bonus! I am using this pan regularly and happy I got it. I have a big stock pot type pan from Staub, too, and love that. I don?t plan to by any more pans, possibly ever again! These staubs are like rocks!
I own several Staub pieces but this is my favorite by far. Love the glass lid even more than I thought I would! Being able to see what's happening in the pan without removing the lid is a game-changer. I've cooked in this pan several days a week since purchasing it. And it cleans up beautifully. Highly recommend!
I was very excited to get the pot for Father’s Day. But when I opened the pot, the pot black surface has some issue; it has 4 little bums.I filled out the quality issue letter to customer service online, and also took some photos. It sent the auto reply saying they would contact with me within 24-48 hours, but It’s been 2 weeks, nobody contact with me or send the reply.I know Staub sells clearance with imperfection products but the pot I purchased was NOT from clearance section. I’m very disappointed of product having little bums / uneven surface issue, and I am more disappointed nobody has replied or contacted with me.I haven’t used the pot yet since I haven’t decided return or keep. I have 2 Staub products and none of them have same issue. It’s just very ... MoreI was very excited to get the pot for Father’s Day. One could have one burner and one pan, this could do it. However that would not point out that it is also an oven performer as well. The extra size will make many one pot dinners easy, while the lack of the long handle will save space.Sometimes it great to have just one pan that will fry a perfect buger, grill the onions and toast the bun, all at the same time. The glass dome top has many applications, from pot-luck cachet to just covering a hot plate. You;ll find more ways to use this item to justify the weight and space it takes up.
