StarTech Dual Monitor USB C Dock - 60W Power Delivery - 4K DP / HDMI ( Dk30chddppd )

A great little unit with good connectivity. It will be well used across a few laptops at various times. Currently allowing a smaller storage capacity laptop with limited bconnectivity to run a video editing project on a 1440 27 inch monitor, with an external hard drive. Pleased with the purchase (so far!)

DisplayPort does not work with Mac

I have been trying everything to get my 2nd monitor to work with MacBook Pro. I changed the screen recording to allow DisplayPort driver to allow. Still, the monitor shows "No Signal". Very frustrating, as this is supposed to be plug and play.

Excellent Docking Station

This is very similar in capabilities to DK30ADD except it is USB-C connected as opposed to USB 3.0.This product again is part of my my essential computer tools and is used daily. It will work on any computer with a USB-C port. It is well made. It comes with power adapters (EU and NA) , a USB-C cable to connect to your computer, and manual. It has Display Link drivers available for Windows and Mac (work in High Sierra). All work well. I have not tested any 4K display devices so can not comment on this or work ability of this but it does provide crisp clean video on lower resolution monitors. Good - but lots of problems

I am using it with my 13" 2019 MacBook Pro (OS 10.15.3). My setup includes 2 x 4k LG monitors, an apple USB keyboard, a USB speaker (Jabra 510).Problems:The dock has only 1 HDMI port which means I had to connect 1 of the 4k monitors with DisplayPort. Few times a day, when laptop gets out of sleep, the screen connected via HDMI comes up but the one with DisplayPort doesn't. Not sure why. Only unplugging the USB-C dock cable from the laptop and powering off/on the dock solves the problem. In most case, only a restart helps. No issue with the HDMI-connected screen.Same issue with the Apple USB keyboard. Every once in a while, the keyboard doesn't work (it is ALWAYS plugged in, and dock is always on). Good quality docking station

I love this docking station for all its options,You get multiple usb ports, HDMI, Displayport, audio, and gigabit ethernet and for something different a SD card slot. As I am always taking pictures with a digital camera I found this to be a great addition to the dock.I had no issues using the dock and the only real complaint i have is with the weight of the dock.I would like these to be a bit heavier as i find the dock with move where the cables push it. With a little more weight to the dock it would sit in one place on a desk instead of getting pushed around by cables.for function this dock is great!I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

I love this thing. I have only been using it for a small while for my Razer Blade Stealth 2019 and I wanted to start using my primary gaming monitor for video editing and other content creation. My monitor is a dell D2719HGF 144hz and I was blown away that this thing could do 144hz over USB 3.1. For me, that's just awesome!

Perfect dock for the photo editor on the go!

This dock has an impressive amount of ports (4 USB, SD Card, Headphone, HDMI, Display link, Gigabit Ethernet) for such a light weight device. While similar to some other StarTech USB-C docks the addition of an SD card slot is a life saver for those doing photo editing work, etc. The only downside experienced was that the power brick is large comparative to the dock itself. The weight of the power brick tends to tip or move the dock depending on your desk height and cable management. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review.

Perfect with my PC but not my Mac, yet.

This is another great docking station from Startech.com. Solid build and great ports, including an SD card reader that I really love. This dock worked perfectly for my Windows-based notebook, after installing all the necessary drivers. The issues came up while testing with a Macbook Pro, but I don’t entirely hold the Dock to blame. The issue came from the MacOS version; I upgraded to the very latest version and the chipset isn’t fully supported. Look at the website (support tab) and heed readme files and driver information bulletins, if you are the sort to not jump at the latest updates, you might not have any issues. I fully believe this is a temporary situation and will be solved in short order. Solid, small, and pain free

I received this item to review (my old review is missing!). Since then, however, I have gone on to buy several more, recommend them to friends, etc.My one critique is that it really needs more USB3 on the front. I mean, the back is nice, but when you have the dock tucked out of the way in the back corner of the desk.... I swap USB devices often, so it's not a fluid movement.It charges my Macbook just fine via the USB-C, has a charging USB port, and a single audio (for headset with mic) too. The SD card slot is a nice touch, and really fast with newer SD cards. I can download from my camera's memory card MUCH faster than my USB SD card reader from last year.
