Squier 40th Anniversary Gold Edition Stratocaster Lake Placid Blue

This guitar is a Squier and is absolutely fantastic!I changed the strings to .010-.046 and adjusted the bridge settings and the tremelo tension and oiled the fretboard and smoothed the frets a little.The guitar sounds really good with stock pickups and is a joy to play.This is the second Squier I have bought recently and the quality is amazing for the price.Highly recommended!!

A Classic

I travel a lot for work, and didn't didn't want to trash my other guitars, which are a little pricier than Squier level. I've always wanted a telecaster, and figured some thing in the squire classic vibe series would be my new guitar. He also really liked it, and it sounded great through my amp. For the nuts and bolts, the guitar is extremely playable and I have it nicely set up, no problems with any of the frets. I love the satin neck, which is easy to move around on. I am not a connoisseur, but the pick ups sound great to me, and great to my friends who play. I'm the kind of person that has to love the way my guitar looks, and I think this guitar looks so classy. It looks vintage and timeless, and the black, brown, and dark yellow go great together. I don't really notice the aged hardware, except that it is not shiny and just goes with the overall aesthetic. Nothing on this guitar is shiny, and that satin vibe just goes so great with this guitar. More people are probably going to love the gold series, which is very flashy. But to me, this gorgeous brown with the double binding and matching colors is the prettiest telecaster I've ever seen. And playing it is like I imagined a Les Paul was going to be- raw and growly and primal!

Amazing!

I love this guitar! The satin finish looks sharp. I ordered online and the packaging was impressive, I was really happy with how well it was padded for mailing. Killer guitar, it feels like a classic vibe, and the satin finish on the neck is new to me but I actually like it! I may have just found a new favorite finish. Anyway, the guys at CME are super friendly and quick to respond to emails. Zero complaints and zero regret (other than not visiting the store in person.)

FENDER Squier 40th Jazzmaster MN Vintage Edition Satin Desert Sun

Superb. What an amazing instrument. The best jazzmaster available right now, especially considering the price. Excellent fit and finish, top pick ups and tuning stability. The usual excellent service from StrumentiMusicali.net But it!

Good looks, not much else

We all gravitate to in store guitars often by looks. I love teles. Own a Fender 60's Baja. My number one for sure. That said this 40th anniversary Squier Tele in satin mocha was a stunner. But now after playing it for almost 2 weeks, I have two options. Either return it or gut the pickups and electronics. Very uneven volume across the strings. Extremely frustrating. Would prefer not to have to mod this guitar. First time in 22 years of playing that I have considered a return. Cable socket needs to be replaced also (a cheap fix). In any case will make a decision this coming week after Christmas

Incredible import Tele!

Action and intonation are near perfect right out of the box. Great feeling neck. This guitar is easily equal to or better than many MIM Teles. Near professional quality. Some pro and con reviews online can nit-pick any guitar to death. Yadda, yadda. Just amp it, play it & enjoy it!

Love this guitar!!!

I'll mostly at home, but eventually for some gigs. I haven't bought a case for it yet.Out of the box this is an awesome instrument. I was surprised that the setup seemed fine for me. Not as high as some online reviews have suggested. This is my first Jazzmaster, so still getting used to the extra switch/tone/volume above the strings. I've also never had a guitar with P-90s, so this is really great to have. The construction seems super solid.I would have liked it if the trem bar was threaded as it seems like it could probably come out pretty easy if one got a little wild on stage. But, I'm not a huge tremolo bar user so I'll probably just go without.The strings aren't that great. My fingertips are black! Most Expensive Squier - and well worth it!

I got the black/gold model of the Squier 40th Anniversary Telecaster - stunning to look at and a joy to play. The electronics and hardware elements are rock solid and the neck, body and fingerboard all make this a great addition to any guitarist's collection. I have a much cheaper Squier Tele (Lake Placid Blue, Bullet Model) and, although that one is a nice guitar (at 1/4 the price of this one), the 40th Anniversary model is in a whole different (and superior) level. This would be an ideal guitar for players of any experience or skill level. It's a very versatile instrument; a beauty that plays as good as it looks. Highly-recommended!

Scan Pro Setup Is Questionable

I like the guitar. The neck looks and feels really good, and the playability is great. However, one of the dials on the rhythm circuit is grating against the pickguard. A simple turn of the dial exposes the fact that something isn't quite right. Given that Scan claim to do a pro setup on all their guitars I was disappointed. I contacted them and they told me that someone from the guitar tech team would contact me. I never received a call. Instead, I received an RMA to return the guitar. The guitar should never have been sent out in that condition and nobody checked it properly. I won't buy another guitar from Scan.

Vintage Vibe Stratocaster

Guitar looks very good, satin finish on the body is sleek and neck tint is very authentic. Compared to Classic Vibe series, it is better and have much less 'plastic' feel. Factory setup is Ok and playable. Guitar sounds very good, more 'woody' like on expensive thin finished Strats. Electronic works ok, aluminium pick guard is excellent shield and pickup noise is low.Downsides... there is a few finish flaws from assembly, tremolo is decked and springs are tighten to the end. You need to lose springs to unlock the bridge/tremolo. Otherwise, this Squier Strat deserve recommendation.
