Lemme just say it took me a very long time to just even save for the opportunity to buy this direct from Playstation! I remember the first Playstation (I was the original Tomb Raider playing girl) and the last time I touched a PS, it was PS2. Man, video games have come a loooooooong way! I am a PS chick fan for life! đ Yes I've played XBox, just not a fan, never have been. Anyway, the tower for this, is reminiscent of a new gen of towers for computers, this thing isn't light by any means, it's got some weight to it! I don't have the place the disc inside console like I grew up with, I have the download your games version from the PS store which requires an email account set up. I don't have the place the disc inside console like I grew up with, I have the download your games version from the PS store which requires an email account set up. It came with a white controller, to get free shipping I had to buy another controller, which I gifted it to my fiance for Christmas so he can play with my kids; I purchased my kiddos each their own different colored ones so that 1, they don't fight over just having 1-2 controllers, 2, most games can handle up to 4 players so my 3 can play some, or together with each other + fiancĂ© or me, 3, they picked their own colors which makes it easier on me to distinguish which controller is theirs in case 1 needs to be charged and wouldn't have to play a guessing game as to which needs charged if they are all the same color. I purchased 1 controller from Sony, which is black, 1 came with it, which is the standard white controller, 1 is red for my youngest, 1 is purple for my teenaged daughter, and last but not least, my first son picked black because he likes the color black. There were multiple colors to choose from on Best Buy's ebay store, the controllers were on sale and brand new. Some other color options were: pink, camo, and blue. I will say I was blessed to have been able to have had the money, get another opportunity to join the the "pool" of people online to be able to have the opportunity to buy one, and blessed to have been able to buy controllers for all 3 of my children. I don't think I would do this type of thing ever again. They've been talking about having one when they first came out and to not be able to afford one because of the bots buying them then turning around and hiking up the prices, I waited and like I said, saved for a very long time. Downside, can't be laid down, it's upright. I'm also concerned that if I keep it out, I would have my home broken into, but that's just maybe my paranoia.

One of the standout features of the PS5 is its next-generation hardware, which includes a custom AMD Zen 2 processor and a custom AMD RDNA 2 graphics processor. This allows the console to deliver high-fidelity graphics, fast loading times, and smooth gameplay. The PS5 also has an SSD (solid-state drive) for storage, which helps to significantly reduce loading times compared to traditional hard drives found in previous-generation consoles. The SSD also allows for more seamless transitions between in-game actions and cutscenes. The PS5 has a sleek and modern design, with a white exterior and a black interior. The adaptive triggers allow for more precise control in certain games, as they can adjust the resistance of the triggers based on the in-game action. In terms of multimedia capabilities, the PS5 has a built-in 4K Blu-ray player and supports 4K video streaming. It also supports high-dynamic range (HDR) for improved image quality. Overall, the Playstation 5 is a powerful and feature-packed console that offers a significant upgrade over its predecessor. Its next-generation hardware, fast SSD, and immersive controller make it a great choice for gamers looking for the best possible gaming experience.

And going down to select rebuild database and it will organize the games in their respective locations and resume the loading functions and fix the downloading items in queue issue of games not auto downloading one after another. It only took 4 days of downloading after wasted time of trying to figure out the reason my files weren't auto downloading. and copying from the internal to the usb extension puts the system out of commission while it copies. But transfer times are fast about 235gb in 45 to 52 mins varying on the file and if I was downloading a PS5 game or PS4 games since the PS4 games download and install directly to the usb extension and the ps5 games directly to the internal and ha e to be transferred over to the usb extension one time to be able to permanently be their and the copy option opens up.Highly satisfied great job Sony.

One reason why you should buy the Playstation 5 is because it will give you lots of enjoyment. On the Playstation 5 you are able to jump into specific missions, modes, and quests for the game you are playing. All you have to do is press the PS button which can take you to the control center where you can find the missions, quests, and more. If you are able to go to specific missions on your favorite game you are able to get better and get more rewards that you might not find if you played on Xbox or nintendo. For example, if you play madden you can earn more coins and packs so you can upgrade your team. On some other consoles you might miss these extra missions or announcements that can help upgrade your team to its fullest potential.Another reason why you should ... MoreOne reason why you should buy the Playstation 5 is because it will give you lots of enjoyment. On the Playstation 5 you are able to cross play with any playstation user even if they donât have a Playstation 5 which was only active on the Playstation 5 and not any others. You are also able to talk and communicate with other playstation users which is another feature that only the Playstation 5 has. If you love playstation but all your friends donât have the Playstation 5 you have the chance to enjoy gaming with them even though they have a different version of the console. It makes gaming much easier which none of the other versions had the luxury of doing that. It also makes gaming much more fun because you can hop on your favorite game with your friends and have a blast. You may be thinking, âThis is way too expensive.â Well the reason why it is a little high price is because it includes any feature you can think of. You are able to cross play with any playstation user. You can communicate with other users and play a game with them which on the other hand for the Xbox series x (newest version for console), you have to manually switch onto crossplay and turn it on and off all the time. The Playstation 5 controller has a built-in microphone so you donât need to buy a $100 headset unlike Xbox where you need a headset to talk. Many people might not be able to buy an extra headset for $100 or more so the Playstation 5 has a good solution that can help you save the extra money. In conclusion, if you are looking for an upgrade for gaming with enjoyment and uniqueness, buy the Playstation 5 to get your dreams fulfilled. I have played many gaming consoles but there is nothing like the Playstation 5!
I've had a PS5 for a good few months now and I have to say even though the graphics are better, they're not much better than the PS4 Pro. I get that Ray Tracing is a new feature in the latest generation of consoles but in order to have it on, in most cases you have to sacrifice the 4K screen resolution and sometimes even the frame rate, and a high frame rate is one of the biggest selling points for gaming in general. The console is oversized compared to previous generations of PS which will leave quite a few people needing to buy a new TV unit in order for the console to have an appropriate place to sit. Seriously, the console is huge and is a little bigger than some small form factor desktop PCs. The curvy design of the console looks a bit ridiculous in my eyes and has caused divided opinions across all PS fans. The Dualsense controller is a good step up from the Dualshock 4 with the new haptic engines and dynamic triggers but this puts a lot of strain on battery life which is a big letdown. If you plan on playing PS4 games on your PS5 then I would recommend keeping at least 1 Dualshock 4 controller so you can be sure your Dualsense is always fully charged for playing PS5 games. I've played Rift Apart on this console and the controller never lasts more than 90 minutes even when fully charged. 4K BluRay support is new on the PS5 and is the best way to watch movies in true 4K and in some cases, full 12-Bit colour. It's a picture quality that the top streaming services won't achieve. Also, 4K BluRay is not new for 9th generation consoles, with a competing 8th generation console beating Sony to it. The PS5 is a very quiet console compared to the PS4 and PS3 which sound like jet engines when playing graphically intensive games. All in all, I have strongly mixed feelings about this console but I am just about happy with it and will not be going back to the PS4 Pro. Never in a million years.
As a longstanding PC gamer, I had to write a review to say how impressed I have been with the PS5. I am very, very happy I decided to purchase a console, and even happier I chose the PS5. Specifically, I wanted to play Gran Turismo, which as a game has exceeded my expectations. Since that first purchase, I have added a few other games that I have been equally pleased with! To name a couple, Tiger Woods 2k23 and FIFA 2023 have been so much fun to play with my family (and by myself). At the end of the day, I am more inclined to turn on my PS5 and play Gran Turismo than attempt to play a racing game on my PC because playing on the PS5 requires little to no setup as far as the controller settings go. At the end of the day, I am more inclined to turn on my PS5 and play Gran Turismo than attempt to play a racing game on my PC because playing on the PS5 requires little to no setup as far as the controller settings go. I couldn't easily setup a controller for my PC for racing games, and I don't have one of the steering wheels, although, maybe one day. I will always prefer playing competitive FPS games like CS:GO on my PC, but having a PS5 has a lot of added benefits I didn't even consider when making my purchase. Hopefully I didn't buy the PS5 right before it is upgraded, but even if I did I will remain happy with my purchase for years to come. I would also like to add a comment on the benefit of buying the PS5 from Best Buy. Personally, when it comes to buying a product like this (without going into all of the specifics), I feel more confident buying from Best Buy when it comes to knowing I am getting a firsthand genuine product than saying purchasing the console off of Amazon. I love Amazon for some things, but it was also nice to be able to pick up my item in person on the same day as I decided to pull the trigger. Amazon has fast shipping but nothing beats driving a few miles to pick up what you want when you want it. I won't be returning this item. Great purchase and highly recommended to the first time console buyer! One more comment, I installed a 2TB PS5 officially endorsed SSD. It was very easy to do this. I quickly filled up the onboard storage, so I would recommend considering this option on the front end to avoid compromising performance when it comes to storing more than 5 games on your console. PS5 has guides on their website on how to install the SSD, just make sure you get one that meets their required specifications!
This system is absolutely worth the wait (and money). Coming from a standard PS4 Slim, it has MAJOR improvements on visuals and user interface, and features are continually being rolled out (like Discord voice features and SSD upgrade compatability). Even on games Iâve played multiple times before on my PS4 (Resident Evil 2 Remake and Jedi: Fallen Order), it looks and feels like a massive graphical boost and improvement, and load times are practically nonexistent, even on huge world games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Hogwarts Legacy. The haptic triggers and vibrations are a major standout too.Iâd highly encourage new players to play Astroâs Playground as the first thing they do. Not only is it the perfect tech demo that shows just how amazing the machine is, but itâs also just a downright fun and great game for free! It demonstrates features on the new PS5 controller that made me sad that developers havenât used the controllerâs capabilities to its full extent yet. Itâs also got a lot for Playstation history lovers to discover! The only downside to the system is the default memory. Itâs just not enough when youâd like to download all the PS5 versions of your favorite games. Itâs especially tough for massive multiplayer games like any recent Call of Duty game or Destiny 2, so you have to be conservative until you get a new SSD to connect, which can cost anywhere between $150-$300. Other than that, the games are also $10 more than PS4 versions, which can really break the bank when you want to experience the best of the system. Pro tip: get a decent HDD for your PS4 games to help with your storage management!Over all, I love this system and I donât regret getting it for a second. Prices will change, thatâs the way the world works, but I havenât had this much fun on a Playstation in years! Just get yourself an ethernet cable, set aside some funds for the games you want and storage upgrades, and get ready to be immersed in the future of gaming.
After 1 year and a half I finally got my hands on the PS5 thanks to Best Buy, I promised myself not to buy from scalpers no matter what. I can say with all confidence that it was worth the wait, I like the 120 Hz and now Sony just released a new firmware update with 1440P support!God of War used to lag a bit on my PS4 when so many things are on the screen, not anymore with this beast. The game that comes with this version is just a postcard with a pin that you have to scratch to reveal. The box is made of different material this time; it feels like itâs made out of plastic, like water resistant type of paper, it's no big deal but I just want to point it out.I bought Astro optical adapter from Best Buy as well for 40 dollars so I can have optical audio out to my ... MoreAfter 1 year and a half I finally got my hands on the PS5 thanks to Best Buy, I promised myself not to buy from scalpers no matter what. The box is made of different material this time; it feels like itâs made out of plastic, like water resistant type of paper, it's no big deal but I just want to point it out.I bought Astro optical adapter from Best Buy as well for 40 dollars so I can have optical audio out to my Sony ES series receiver, and WOW, the sound is just the best I've ever heard!I also bought a middle sticker so I can hide that piano black look, I don't like that it collects finger prints and scratches so easily. Now, the only thing that I think needs improvement is the side plates, Sony should pay Dbrand a loyalty fee and adopt their version of side plates with no collar and with vents on both sides for the fan!And the game is forced on some people if they don't like it, although I think whomever doesnât like it should have his head examined, it's stunning and it shows the powers of the PS5, and if you really don't like it, you can easily sell it on eBay before you scratch the pin.Again, thank you Best Buy for being honest and not playing favors, and thank you for not charging me a member club fee like some others just to hold a spot online, you'll be my favorite store forever!.PS: Thank you Deonte for using that big grey plastic bag to hide my lovely PS5, I didn't think I was going to make it to my car without being harassed!
While getting a PS5 was tough, it was beyond worth it. Coming from a PS4 Pro, the graphical improvements are impressive. But the most striking thing about the system is the speed.Load times in most games are so brief that you wonât even have time to read and send a text message, and thatâs not an exaggeration. It is a MAJOR improvement and makes gaming even more of a joy.The DualSense controller is much heavier than I was expecting, but it hasnât been a problem, and the feature set makes it worthwhile. Play the included âAstroâs Playroomâ game for a fun and engaging tech demo of everything that controller can do.The two biggest gripes I have are the UI and the out of the box storage capacity. Play the included âAstroâs Playroomâ game for a fun and engaging tech demo of everything that controller can do.The two biggest gripes I have are the UI and the out of the box storage capacity. The UI is so busy itâs just obnoxious. Turning off the PS4 was very easy from the controller, even when I wasnât looking at the screen. But on the PS5, you have to use a quick menu by pressing the PS button, and the power options on this menu are in a less intuitive location. They also waste real estate with a media tab that I, like many others, will never use.The storage is far and away the worst part. The 825 GB SSD is only 667.2 GB after formatting with the OS installed, and this is simply not enough given the size of PS5 games, which will only increase over time. PS5 games also can only be stored on an external HDD - not played, so you have to swap games out if you wish to use an external drive. However, you can store and play PS4 games this way, which is nice. And you can set PS4 games automatically install on the external drive with an available option if you choose. Thankfully, Sony added an easily accessible storage upgrade slot to add additional capacity to the system, though the compatible drives remain quite expensive, but I do appreciate having the option, and not having to replace the existing drive, but instead adding an additional one. This means even adding a 1 TB drive will more than double the 667.2 GB out of the box.Other than these gripes, the system is amazing. The exclusive titles are great, the upgrades and improvements on PS4 games are wonderful, and itâs a quiet and solid system. Overall, I find it leagues better than I ever found the PS4 Pro to be. Highly recommended.
