This structure consists of hand-laid interwoven layers of fiberglass with lightweight organic and high-performance fibres. There is also a shell-integrated spoiler with consistent shell thickness guarantees proper strength and weight. This Helmet is available in 4 shell sizes ensures a custom fit for heads between XS-XXL. This Helmet also has a multi-piece / multi-density EPS liner which provides enhanced impact absorption from varying densities of foam. This EPS liner also allows cooling air to travel unrestricted through tunnels created in the EPS. There is also a micro-ratchet Chinstrap which is patented by Shoei and made from 100% Stainless Steel with an interlocking mechanism. This strap allows for quick and smooth closure / opening, is comfortable and easily adjustable. - For rider comfort, the Helmet has a 3D max-dry interior system which is fully removable, washable, replaceable, and adjustable. The exclusive 3D Max-Dry material absorbs and dissipates sweat twice as fast as traditional Nylon, and is shaped to match the contours of the rider's head. The lining has multi-layer Cheek pads for comfort and helmet stabilisation, and premium synthetic Leather has been included along the lower edge of the Cheek pads for durability and style. - The J-Cruise has spent valuable time in the in-house wind tunnel at Shoei to gain significant improvements in ventilation performance. An extra intake hole has been added to the upper air ventilation system which increased the air volume entering the helmet by approximately 30%. Additionally, a new, patent-pending top air outlet design has improved hot air expulsion by 20%. The Helmet has a compact and aerodynamic shell shape with an integrated spoiler strategically-shaped air intake and exhaust vent covers, a new airtight window beading, the shield s integrated air dam, and an enhanced internal sun shield system. These features have allowed for a lift reduction of -7%, drag reduction of -1% and a yawing reduction of -43%. Please note that all figures are value comparison which were measured in the in-house wind tunnel at Shoei between the J-Cruise II and the J-Cruise. The features mentioned above also help prevent any unwanted noise inside the Helmet during a ride. - The Helmet's advanced CJ-2 shield and base plate system provides a large, distortion-free view and also allows for the rider to make smooth and easy shield changes. The CJ-2 base plate system features an all-new first position shield opening, and has SHOEI s patented spring-loaded technology to ensure a wind and waterproof seal. There is also new airtight window beading which drains and helps prevent water from entering the Helmet. The CJ-2 Shield has a 3D injection-mould construction which ensures distortion-free view across the entire field of vision. There is a integrated air dam which increase the rigidity and reduces wind turbulence inside helmet, along with the Shield protecting the eyes from 99% of damaging UV rays. There is a locking-mechanism for secure closure and opening, and the Shield is Pinlock EVO ready with the lens being sold separately. The J-Cruise II also have an internal QSV-2 Sun Shield built in which is 5mm longer and gives riders improved, instant relief from sun glare in one quick motion. There is an all-new locking mechanism which simplifies the sun shield's removal and installation, and the forehead area of the outer shell has been raised slightly to accommodate the Sun Shield but also ensuring the EPS integrity remains intact. The internal Sun Shield on this Helmet exceeds ANSI XZ80.3-2010 standard for non-prescription eyewear. - ECE 22/05 Certified.
