Effective brake rotor that performed well on my 3,500 mile loaded bike tour through the Rocky Mountains. Only minor issue is that I have Avid BB7 brakes and so the bolt design is a little different than the Avid rotor causing some contact between the bolts and the jutting out part of the rear brake pad while braking. As such, I have had to seat the rear wheel just a few mm rearward in the dropouts. Next time I will match up the rotor brand with my brake brand.

Bought one to replace a magura storm rotor (both 203). The magura was super noisy and had little modulation - very on off. But combined with organic pads this shimano rotor is much quieter and gives me the modulation I want. Also looks way better

The rotors are too small J02A, J04C brake pad surfaces, after some time there will be an overhang cut into the top of both L&R brake pad surfaces.A combination of the left and right pads in this condition prevent the pads from fully contacting the rotor surface, causing a loss in braking performance, uneven wear causing rotor warpage.You will have to remove the pads twice during their lifetime and cut off the overhangs, or, cut / bevel 2mm of the pads top surface so the overhang does not develop. Right out of the box these rotors were very hard to get aligned with my brakes. I have never had to bend and tweak brand new rotors to get them trued. These were horrible. I then bedded them properly by riding up and down a gradually sloped road. Then onto the trails. I noticed right away that when braking downhill, my brake pads would continue to rub on the rotors after releasing the brake lever. It wasn’t just a slight rub but a very pronounced rub. They are the same 180mm diameter as the Rt86’s. Used the same caliper mounts, Formula Cura brakes, and the same brake pads as before. NO MORE RUBBING! And I’m back to silent braking! All for 10g more per rotor. The only thing I miss is the cool looks of the RT86’s. I don’t understand how these have such great reviews?!?! In my opinion they are basically useless. I’m not an engineer but I’m guessing the sandwiched aluminum design makes them very soft and flexible. It also makes them prone to vibration which means high brake noise. Good for looks and weight only. Performance was horrible!
Super happy with this rotor upgrade. Stock rotors weren't cutting it anymore and figured I'd upgrade to a larger rotor. I decided on these and am way more confident in my riding allowing me to go a bit faster knowing the brakes will do their job. Super easy install. Order was smooth and received the items in a couple days. Definitely will be my go-to rotors moving forward.
Theses Ice-Tech rotors do a great job at dissipating heat build up which leads to fade and reduced braking. Run these exclusively in different sizes on all my bikes - never an issue with warping or alignment and when matched with Shimano pads - even power and good modulation on my various XT hydro calipers. Plus they look great too!
These are my go to rotors after trying SRAM, Galfer and others. They don't bend or squeal as easily. They also seem to stay cool for longer at speed on the descents. Buying from Cambria has always been a good experience, whether buying new frames or olives and barbs for brake lines.
Switched to the 180 from SRAM centerline 160s and there was a huuuge improvement. No squeeling, handles long descents superbly without brake fade. Going way longer without fluid changes now too! And my pads last much longer. These pay for themselves very quickly.
I had an Ibis Hakka MX that came with Rival 1 Hydro brakes that were giving me noise and vibration issues. I tried all kinds of different rotors, damping the fork, etc. but nothing 100% solved it. I had these on my mt bike and they are fantastic on that bike, so decided to give them a try. After bedding them in, they work perfectly with the Rival 1 Hydro calipers. The Rival 1 brake pads are a bit smaller than the Shimano pads, so there is a little extra room on the rotor that doesn't get used, but better extra room than less room. Overall these things are great, breaking performance improved, noise and vibrations are gone. Took them on a 12 mile descent where I had brake fade and heat issues with the Avid rotors, no issues with these at all.
