Shimano Deore XT RT-MT800 Disc Rotor Diameter 160 mm
Shimano's Deore XT RT-RT800 compact and lightweight disc brake rotors feature rapid heat dissipation thanks to Ice Technologies Freeza heat management system. Installing and removing the rotors is quick and easy with Shimano's Center Lock design. Advanced heat sync design reduces brake fade. Technologies Freeza rotors Ice Technologies combined with Freeza disc brake rotor construction rapidly dissipates heat for more consistent braking performance in extreme conditions, longer pad life, and less brake fade and noise. Benefits FeaturesLightweight clad rotors with heat dissipating paint on exposed aluminum layer segments provide superior cooling, consistent brake performance, and lighter operation under all conditions. Clad brake pads with Aluminum/Stainless fins support rapid heat dissipation which helps reduce maintenance, provide longer pad life, and create less brake fade and noise. Shimano Center Lock The Center Lock system makes an easy rotor installation possible with spline mount and a lock ring. The lock ring mounting system reduces the total working hours by shortening the amount of time of both installation and de-installation. In addition, the secure fixing by the spline mount enhances precision and rigidity while improving braking efficiency. Fixing nut included.

Much better than the previous generation Ultegra rotor, which was fussy, overengineered and got grimy very easily, but was almost impossible to clean (even in an ultrasonic bath). This one is easy to clean and interchangeable with Deore XT brakes, and has the right amount of heatsink and brake track.

Bought these to replace the SMRT800S on my gravel bike. which had worn surprisingly quickly. There is no noticeable difference in performance from the smaller heat dispersion fins, so I guess Shimano have worked out they didn’t need as much aluminium to do the job.

Bought this the first time and the lock ring was faulty. Backcountry said they didn’t stock just the lock ring so they sent me a whole new rotor and I had it in 24 hrs. Terrific service! Been dealing with Backcountry a long time and they never disappoint.
I have used them for over a year and they wear lot much less than the Tektro rotor that were coming with my bike. Obviously this one is double price but totally worthy. They are light weight, perform well and look good.
These are great rotors for use in the UK. Signs are fast to process & delivery. I wanted these to match my new bike & lighten it. The MT900 are slightly different with black - for heat dissipation which isn’t necessary in the UK climate. Excellent value & product.
Front brake callipers are under rated in the pursuit of speed. See how slow you go when you brake one? Having snapped the pad mounting point on exactly the same model, purely from being an upper body strength monster like most cyclists, I replaced it with the exact same model but this time tightened it with my toes. Works great. Arrived next day.
No surprises here. The 203mm rotor is a substantial upgrade in stopping power. I swapped out my 180mm front rotor for this dinner-plate sized ring of Shimano goodness. Coupled with two-piston calipers, you can stoppie to your heart's content. Excellent feel and response; you can't go wrong. The only caution is that you could easily loop the bike if you are ham-fisted on the front brake on the steeps. So remember: when in doubt, don't grab a handful when only one finger can do!
These rotors are quiet and dissipate heat superbly on descents. No noticeable brake fade. I have 180mm rotors paired with Shimano SLX M7100 2 piston brakes. This setup offers impressive braking power. I do use the finned resin pads with these. I have had the same rotors on my bike since 2020 and they are still true and perform flawlessly. These are much cheaper than the XTR version and perform virtually the same with the only difference being the black paint on the rotor. Hoping Shimano releases a 6-bolt rotor soon for these. They released an XTR version a couple of years ago.
