I recently purchased this wheelbarrow, tp replace an old plastic tub barrow that I have had for 25 years. After using this one for a couple of months, the tub bottom has split, and the plastic support under the tub has shattered. Also the plastic covers over the handles have split. The plastic used is brittle, unlike the tub on my old one. This product is rubbish!

Not a tradie. Used for firewood, mulch and recently some crushed rock. Infrequent use and it has 3 cracks, one of which is really a hole the size of my hand. Avoid the poly tub. It’s garbage. My metal one although rusty, is still good after 24 years! This one is 4 months old.

This product is sold as “medium duty” but it cracked on the very first use, loading some pavers from our backyard. We were even being gentle given the reviews. Any sharp edges cut through the tub like butter. Wasted $169…

This replaced my 15 year old faithful just last week. Big project at home everything from carting dirt, mixing cement, absolutely happy as with this. Glad I read other reviews and avoided the poly tubs as I tend to be pretty harsh with them. Great buy, highly recommended.
This Barra does the best Kick flips I've ever seen. Just get the thing moving, hit the mound of dirt or mulch or what ever the pile of $hit you're movin', drop one hand and wrench the other upwards! Spin Brother! With enough practice you'll land one, alternatively at least this unit is strong enough to handle a decent floggin' Great Barra!
Roughly a month of moving soil, gravel and odd debris from the garden, and its still holding up pretty well. I would advice against the cheapest wheelbarrow, with screw on their legs, as those can rust and loosen making it unstable at best. Also if you are moving heavy loads like gravel, its a pita to balance it out with a thin wheel unlike the one that you have here which is more stable and secure. Overall, I think this would be the minimum acceptable wheelbarrow for the budget if you are not using it on a commercial setting.
It seems the one wheelbarrow has been used by 4 different users names - maybe the same person? Anyway, I purchased once, and the tub cracked after the first use. I didn't notice the crack for about 6 months. As a Powerpass member, Bunnings gladly exchanged it for a new one. I've had 3 of these Sherlocks over the years and they're not made all that well. Bearings disintegrate, plastic cracks and metal corrodes very early on.
Sure this tray may be brittle and not as good as the trade tough tray. However the trade tough tray is $100 on its own which if added to the cost of this wheelbarrow brings it to bout the same price as the trade tough wheelbarrow... That's 2 wheelbarrows trays for the price of 1. Good if you can't afford the trade tough at the time when it does break down from use just go get yourself the trade tough poly tray for only $100! Takes away the large blow from just buying the trade version and you get more mileage from the frame. It's a pretty good deal when you look at it that way...
I don't do reviews until I've had the chance to use the product for a while. It's a wheelbarrow, so what to say? Does everything I want it to do, stable when carrying loads (dirt, plants etc) have used to mix cement without an issue. So summary sturdily built and good value for money.
Bought it a few months ago for a home project and have since used it on most weekends. Very strong and well built. I love the large wide tires for easier movement and heavy loads. Just think the handles are a bit too thick and slippery as it's easy to lose grip if not careful. Apart from that, very happy.
