The handle release is great for cleaning around corners and baseboards, or any other tight spot. Shark is the only vacuum I've ever used that solves this issue. The soft roller is also a breeze to clean, it pops right out and can be brushed off and snapped back in. The odor feature is a bonus, A hound lives at my house so time will tell if this feature lasts long term. In the near term we remain grateful for this benefit. This unit is another solid model vacuum from Shark.

I'm someone who depends on reviews and I didn't find the reviews posted to be accurate. My previous Shark, which I loved, unfortunately broke and was unable to be repaired. I recently bought this vacuum with high expectations but unfortunately, it has not lived up to the promised quality as stated in the reviews I read. This vacuum is HEAVY, difficult to push and unusually loud. There is a lever near the handle that will allow you to decrease the air flow which makes it a LITTLE easier to push as you vacuum, but it makes the vacuum even more thunderous as you will hear loud air escaping by the handle. Such a strange feature! The suction power is weak and has a difficult time picking up small lint off the floor. My sense of smell is extremely keen and I can't smell the odor neutralizer at all, which is strange. My previous Shark model was top notch and this one is not. Vacuuming on hardwood is very average - nothing impressive. I am really disappointed because I had high hopes for this vacuum. I had researched various brands and models, and finally settled on this product. But now, it seems like I made a big mistake by choosing this vacuum. I do love Shark products, but I cannot recommend this vacuum.The only thing I did like was the handle. You can detach the handle which makes it easier to vacuum our sofa.Beware: There is a 10% restocking fee for returned vacuums so I guess I'll be keeping it. It's not worth wasting $30 to send it back.

Operating it was nice, because of its comfortable handle, swivel steering, along with smooth maneuverability. It was easy to push on carpeted areas, while its low profile design allowed for reaching underneath furniture. The lightweight unit did a fantastic job of picking up pet fur, litter, hair, dirt, etc., while the PowerFins HairPro and self-cleaning brushroll provide nonstop contact, as well as zero hair wrap, giving the carpet and area rugs a deep-clean. If you prefer no scent, the dial can be removed. The vac’s large, clear dust cup collects debris that can easily be thrown into the trash, without ever being touched. And, since the bin’s 3XL capacity has plenty of room, I was able to clean the whole house without stopping to empty. I would certainly recommend this home appliance to others.
