7 YEARS OF INFLATABLE BLISS!

I've had my large blue pillow for 7 years of constant use. From motorcycle camping to lumbar support flying coach, it's been reliable comfort. It was familiar support to rest my weary head upon in dodgy riads in Morocco and accompanied me through Baja & other wild places. It even worked well as an air cushion under my sling when I broke my arm. It is tiny when packed in its stuff sack, weighs nothing, is soft, and easily adjustable to the perfect puff for every need. It finally acquired a slow, mysterious leak. I won't send it in for warranty. I'll March right out and pay whatever stupid price for a replacement. SO. WORTH it.

Small, light pack that easily inflates to a plush warm pillow. Bought to keep in my bike touring kit. Does a stellar job. Really comfy and the inflation plug, fine adjustment release and air dump all are no gimmick. This system works really well. To be really critical, the pillow doesn’t have any straps or anything to hold in place (unless you use a complete S2S system) and it slips around a bit. That is only when I want to use the sleeping bags hood. When it’s not so cold, place the pillow in the hood and it stays in position perfectly. The price seems a bit steep for a pillow too, but hey, it does keep giving a comfortable sleep.

Do not recommend. Try Aeros down pillow instead.

The pillow is too tall for back sleeping. Micro adjusted with less air, then pillow is too wobbly. I purchased regular size, but it feels too small. I sleep on a 2P pad, so no easy way to lock the pillow. It moves everywhere during the sleep due to its small size. I have to side sleep on it with very little movement to make it stable. Eventually I switched to Aeros Down Pillow (also from sea to summit, size large). It gives much better sleep with slightly more weight.

Great UL Pillow
9 November 2023

Great cushioning that is essentially adjustable based on how much you inflate it. Comfortable and soft; it compacts down exceptional small. This pillow has been my go-to for the last 8 years with mixed backpacking and extended hiking adventures. I recently had one deflate on me while hiking in NH. I contacted S2S to know how I might recycle it and instead they sent me a new one. Absolutely amazing customer service. I have several S2S products and this further confirmed my confidence in using their gear. I wouldn’t use any other ultralight pillow.

Great portable pillow
29 June 2024

I have taken this pillow all around the world and absolutely love it. Whether its camping, on a plane or even in a hotel with less than sufficient pillows, by Sea to Summit pillow always comes through. It is very easy to inflate with minimum breaths, and I can make if as firm or soft as I want. When done you can pack it away in the included carrying case. The pillow is soft with the fleece cover and is really easy to maintain. I strongly recommend this pillow for anyone who travels, camps, or backpacks. Great pillow worth every penny.

It won't be long before it leaks
12 September 2024

Sorry, this product does not deserve the name "premium." I bought one of these a few years ago and used it rarely. It simply starts to leak as it ages... terrible! After a year or so, I realized it was losing air overnight. A year later and it was completely flat overnight. I submerged it in water to see if there was a pinhole leak somewhere I could patch -- it leaked everywhere, as if every seam had broken down. It's parked in the garbage now. Sad. Please find a better product that won't end up in the garbage like this one.

Not Good for Side Sleepers
24 May 2024

Not for side sleepers. I sleep on my side with an arm under my head. That seems fairly common. Unfortunately this pillow is just not suitable.Quick background on inflatable pillows with minimal fabric padding: they're glorified plastic bags full of air. The idea is that as you put more weight on the pillow (your head), the air in the pillow increases in pressure to compensate. Eventually the pillow supports your head. The consequence is that inflatable pillows usually feel pretty hard, because all areas of the pillow are pressing against your head evenly. This is physics, not much the designers can do without adding extra weight in the form of fabric padding.Anyway, when fully inflated, the pillow is quite thick. The consequence is that inflatable pillows usually feel pretty hard, because all areas of the pillow are pressing against your head evenly. This is physics, not much the designers can do without adding extra weight in the form of fabric padding.Anyway, when fully inflated, the pillow is quite thick. There's no way to get an arm under it without having your head at a very uncomfortably high upward angle. In fact, fully inflated, the pillow is even too high for me without an arm under it. In addition, after about an hour, my ear starts hurting because it's squished against the hard pillow. So the obvious answer is to deflate it. But then you get the other problem: NOISE. Remember how this is a glorified plastic bag? Unfortunately, S2S decided to make the bag out of a crinkly plastic that sounds like you're rummaging around in a bag of chips when its underinflated. Right next to your ear. It's a problem.Third problem: lack of internal baffles. It feels like one big air chamber. This means you have to balance your head on the pillow. If you get off to the side, then the side your head isn't on puffs out. That makes a slope that your head wants to slide off of. It feels like your head has to rock from side to side like balancing on a slack line. Fully inflating the pillow mitigates this significantly, but at the cost of making it less comfortable and too thick. So it's too thick when fully inflated, very noisy and unstable when not. Overall not a very good product, or at least not sufficiently versatile to be used by side sleepers. To be fair to S2S, these challenges seem to be common to most inflatable pillows for side sleepers. Try this out in the store if possible, and bank on using it fully inflated. I returned this for a competing product that's wider and thinner and less noisy (and sadly also a bit pricier): the Fillo Elite.

So Far So Good
17 November 2023

This is just an initial review since I only got to use it on a 4 day 3 night hunting trip.Looking it over it seems to look and feel more durable than some other brands. I like the curve of the pillow which allows the pillow to really cradle your head. One great thing I liked was that I didn’t have to play around with the level of air in the pillow to get my desired support. I was comfortable sleeping on my back and on my side. The pillow also did not slide around or pop out from under my head in the middle of the night.Anyways, take this 4 star review with a grain of salt. I still have to see how durable this thing.

There is a reason this simple pillow rated so high
8 November 2023

Really don't have too much bad to say. Nice neck support, nice head support, easy to inflate deflate. Won't deflate while blowing air in and vice versa. Tiny when deflated and decent size when inflated. Layer under the pillow makes sure it doesn't move easily.Only thing I can mention is pillow quite high so i can see some people who likes to sleep facing up don't prefer this type. But it's rather a feature instead of drawback so. Overall fantastic pillow for side sleepers

ZZZZZZ….
6 August 2024

Let’s face it, there is no camp pillow that replace the mound of fluffy down pillows on the bed at home. I have tried several inflatable camp pillows and this is the best one I have ever used! It is the perfect size to weight ratio. The soft side in nice and comfy (I’m a side sleeper). The inflation/deflation/pack up is incredibly simple and fast. Micro adjusting the air allows for customized firmness. I slept the best I in a long time the first time I took this out. Worth every penny! A tired hiker is a grumpy hiker! The great night’s rest put a little pep in my step on the trail!
