Schwarzkopf OSiS+ Dust It Mattifying Volume Powder 10g

Ten years ago, working in a Regis salon, I was testing new products and ran across this miraculous powder. I love that dry shampoo extends washings for days. This is like dry shampoo times ten. Sprinkle a little onto your scalp where you want volume and work it in with your fingers or a comb. Dust it creates a grip, makes the slip of oil disappear. You get instant volume and it absorbs oil nicely. This is one of those products that I have a stash of because I use and value it so much. Bonus: it only costs about $9 for a years worth.

The powder is cool, it holds my hair for three days, but on the third day it's all the same to my head. A little bit of powder immediately adds volume and matte finish. I am very happy! Dust it is my absolutely favorite mattifying powder. I have tried several brands (Paul Mitchell, Redken, Big Sexy Hair). Dust It is by far the best. Sprinkle just a little Dust at the root and the hair has automatic volume. It does not leave any color at the root so looks invisible. I use it on all if my updos in the salon. It is great for anyone with flat thin hair.

Fake product sent by company

I was led to believe I was ordering Schwarzkopf OSIS Dusit. The photo and description were OSIS with big letters, etc. What I received instead was something called BEST=- also in big letters on the bottle. It is actually produced by a company called Vikada, which must specialize in fake products. The bottle was not wrapped, nor was there a tamper proof seal. It looked as though it was tampered with. As I still have some real OSIS, I could compare that this BEST product is much lighter, in fact the bottle feels empty. Be very careful when you purchase items from a third party from Walmart. Walmart said I could return it.

Great for thinning hair

I have very thin hair in one 4" spot in the back of my head. I had been using another product but couldnt find it any more so decided to try this. It works very well by just shaking a small amount over the spot and then I use a pick to arrange the hair . It makes the hair seem thicker and covers my spot!

My hair has been thinning more and more each year. I use this to create volume without weight or build-up. It is genius. A little dusting at the root of the hair and nudging it to rise creates a volume that looks and feels natural.

good value for the price

Does a good job. Not as strong a hold as more expensive alternatives, but seeing as those are astronomically priced and this is reasonable, it is a great value. It holds well enough for a couple hours, and doesn't make my hair too tacky or sticky feeling. Does take a moderate amount of product.
