I've been looking to buy a fisheye lens for a long time, but could never justify the price for something that doesn't get used all the time.I'm a full time sports photographer and want to use the lens for those special shots that come along every so often. I got to use the lens a few hours after receiving it...at a football league match. I took a shot of the home supporters' stand as the teams emerged for the second half. I used it on a full frame camera, with the hood off (to get the partial circular image) and loved the results. The image was used by the conference league on their social media accounts. The lens is solidly built, great to use and the results are great for the price. As one of the other reviewers said, set the lens to f5.6 and set on infinity ... MoreI've been looking to buy a fisheye lens for a long time, but could never justify the price for something that doesn't get used all the time.I'm a full time sports photographer and want to use the lens for those special shots that come along every so often. This lens won't get used all the time, but for those special moments when you need to capture a super-wide scene...I will be using it.I am really pleased I bought it.

Excellent reasonable priced fisheye lens. Totally manual as it doesn't talk to any camera. It's easy to set up just set the aperture to 5.6, focus to infinity and sort out the exposure by shutter speed. Only had it a couple of weeks but very impressed with the results. Give nicely distorted pictures and very wide views.

This is a fantastic lens to add to your collection for intermediate photographers. The lens is reasonably sharp and most shots are very immersive. The AE chip helps with exposure metering to keep things well balanced and exposed. The lens cover is a bit flimsy but the lens comes with a lens bag, so adequate protection is available.

Great image quality on both my 7d II and, with an adapter, on my Panasonic 4/3. Well built and the controls are smooth . Hood is a good fit and easily removed for use on my full frame 5D IV. On a full frame colour fringing is more prominent but not a problem with Photshop although keeping your feet out of the picture is! Once the novelty has worn off, not sure how much I will use it but at 150 it's a bargain
Even at minimum focus distance from subject, the subject looks like it's miles away from you; then you look away from the viewfinder and realise you're only about 30cm from the subject. With 180° FOV, watch out for your feet keep appearing in the shot!Great lens with some real creative uses.Manual aperture and focus ring don't forget. Nothing "auto" about this lens.
Lens is quite light and great to include when travelling to get some fun perspectives. Used it for some interiors as an alternative to an ultra-wide angle and with de-fish eyeing software and results look very professional. For a bit of fun especially with camera-shy kids you can get them to pull funny faces and get really good results that the parents will love as well. Paired up with a ring flash as well even better. Also if you want to do some cat or dog shots it works very well. All in all cracking value, but you must be prepared to shoot manually, if not get the wallet out and pay double the price. Optically very good and can't be faulted.
I rated this lens on its specific use for me, not on the quality of the lens. Shipping was as expected from B&H, on time. I wanted the lens to take real estate photos in small areas, such as bathrooms. Try as I may, I never was able to get a satisfactory photo, that didn't require massive amount of effort to remove distortions (barrel and pincushion). I used several different programs, and all failed to give me the necessary improvements. I do not use the full set of Adobe, and perhaps that would have worked better. However, the software I do use, does a more than adequate job rendering my photos. A friend has a similar, a Rokinimon, and has had some success in small areas, The final verdict is that this is a lens with specific designed uses. Bought this early to complement MFT Oly system. I admit that I have not used this lens a lot due to teh distortion, only certain shots make sense. That being said the results were very good and the price was right. It is so wide that focus is seldom an issue so not having AF is not really troubling.Pros: Tiny and light. Relatively inexpensive. Sharp optics. Tight fit to Oly MFT body.Cons: F3.5, while not a show stopper, this is not good for night or low light situations. Cannot take normal filters, should have been designed with filter thread and plastic removable shade.
First fish eye for my Micro Four Thirds kit. Fully manual, but no problem. I know how to focus, set f stop. Impressive coverage. Nice Full Cap to protect optics. Beware, front surface bulges out, as expected. Having fun experimenting.
I got this lens at a discount, but I can very safely say that this lens is worth the full retail price. On the tech side, the tests run by OpticalLimits show that this lens is extremely good, especially for a budget price range, with a very sharp center at f/3.5 and good aberration/halo characteristics, especially at f/5.6. On the practical side, this thing is as good as a manual lens can ever be. The focus depth gets huge when you focus more than a few feet away, really pulling everything you see into a nice state of general sharpness. The focus and aperture rings are the perfect tightness and smoothness, with a nicely clicked aperture and smooth focus turning reminiscent of the action on a good fluid-head tripod. The focus and aperture rings are the perfect tightness and smoothness, with a nicely clicked aperture and smooth focus turning reminiscent of the action on a good fluid-head tripod. It can close-focus about 4 inches away, so you can even get some great wide macro shots with it. The focal length (15mm equivalent) is 60% wider than the standard full wide angle of 24mm equivalent, so this thing really swallows up a scene. It's about as close as you'll get to fisheye while still filling up the entire sensor with the image. With some barrel distortion correction during editing to hammer the image back into a rectilinear projection, you can even crop out a panorama from the center while still retaining some quality. I highly recommend this lens for anyone who wants to shoot very wide angles, whether it's capturing most of a bedroom or capturing mountains at twilight with a huge night sky.
