Going on a trip next week and needed a carry-on bag that I can roll as I am disabled (and walk with a cane) so that I have easy lay overs in ATL and NYC. I decided on the Samsonite because I want it to last and it wasn't much more expensive than the cheapo luggage brands. For the smallest size suitcase this thing holds a ton! I could easily pack for a week using only this suitcase. It's expandable which helps a lot too! Also Samsonite had a 10 yr warranty, how can you beat that? After I travel if anything happens to/with this suitcase I will update my rating.

It took ages to find my perfect luggage. I was going to buy another brand's luggage to save money however I bought all three different sizes once I have carried Samsonite Spinner at the luggage shop. It is very LIGHT (1- 1.7kg lighter than other brands)and good quality luggage. I think it is an good investment for frequent travellers and I would like to recommend my family to by more for our next holiday.We can't wait to travel with this luggage next year!

BEST SUITCASE I HAVE EVER OWNED

This bag has been an absolute life saver the past 3 weeks while I was in Japan. I was averaging around 20-26kgs due to winter clothing etc and it was a trooper through train stations and airports. Zipper was sturdy and did not break once. If you take care when zipping and positioning the close, you should not have issues with the zipper. The weight of the luggage is perfect because I wanted to maximise on the weight allowance and this bag was perfect. I also used a luggage cover so the suitcase was doubly secured and protected from any damage.I'll be growing my collection because I truly have had a best experience with this bag!

Best and Lightest Suitcase on the Market

I’m very happy with the Samsonite LiteShock Sport Medium Hard Spin Suitcase. It is feather light and has a slick, elegant and contemporary shell design. I purchased 2 of the Lite-Shock suitcases and have used them for several flights. They are very light and have served their purpose, although after the 3rd trip on an airline my wife had a problem rolling hers. Upon inspection, it was missing a wheel. When we returned home, I found one of the other wheels on the same case was missing half of the screw which holds the wheel to the case and the other 2 wheels had very, very loose screws on the wheels. Looking at the other case, all four wheels had very loose hardware and 2 were also missing half of the screws, (there is one half of the fastener that acts as an axle for the wheel and the other side is a simple screw which was the missing part in all that had this issue). I'm guessing that since I have to receipt, I'll have to buy the parts which is fine as long as I can get them. I will update this if I am able to resolve this issue.

I recommend this product

I fractured my spine 10 weeks out from a holiday we had booked a year ago, and so I am limited to no more than 5kg in total weight I can carry. So I went looking for a suitcase that would be light but still offer the same robust strength we have with our other samsonite luggage. With this and my capsule wardrobe it comes in just 100 grams over the 5kg and i am packing for 6 weeks !

Light weight luggage

This is my 1st purchase from this collection. I bought it mainly because it weighs only 2.5kg for its size. Generally, everything is fine except for the rather "noisy" wheels. Somehow, I don't have that issue with my other Samsonite luggages. Perhaps it's an isolated case just for this particular unit? It's also the reason I don't give a 5 star rating this time around. So far, I don't have issue with the rest. Thank you.

Used it twice and side latches broke both times!

I had the worst experience with this luggage. I used it twice for international trips and the cheap plastic latches were broken both times after I took the luggage from carousel. I did not put any odd loads or pressure on it and did not even have extra weight when checked in at the airport. I even had the original cover that I bought from Samsonite separately, on it both times. It just has a poor design with weak plastic latches. First time I took it to the shop and they repaired it for free on warranty, but I am very disappointed with this expensive purchase that I have to take to repair after every trip. My other Samsonite products have been solid, but this product is very poorly designed.

Very poorly designed product

This is a poorly designed product, also Samsonite does not stand behind their product. I have two sets of this that is just over 9 months old. I have had to warranty this product 4 times in 9 months for wheel issues, lock issues as well as the area where the locking zipper portion popping out. This is supposed to be Samsonite's top of the line product, this was by far the worst design and engineered set of luggage I have EVER purchased from this company. They are now doing EVERYTHING possible to get out of having to stand behind the lifetime warranty on this poorly made product. You are better off with many other brands.

Zipper detached on second flight

Bought the lite shock sport for a recent overseas holiday.The zipper stitching came away from the main body of the case the second time I used it. The hole got bigger over the next two flights and another hole appeared at the bottom of the case.Had to buy two luggage belts.Luckily I had bought a samsonite cover to keep my new luggage looking nice before I left home but the cover ending up being useful to stop my contents from falling out.On the flight home (only my fourth flight with my new luggage) had to tape two sides up with packaging tape, put belts and cover on and sign for a fragile sticker with Qantas before my flight home.Will be organising for a refund and will not be buying Samsonite again.Very disappointed.
