I have received many compliments. The bag is stylish and professional looking. So far the quality seems great, but time will reveal the true quality of the bag. The bag is easy to organize, because it is big enough but yet not to big. The flap does not have a pocket, and I have not had to pick up papers, because I forgot to zip the flap pocket. The flap does not need a pocket. A flap pocket only get in the way. I am really enjoying this bag.

I purchased this bag to replace my bookbag. As a teacher, I needed something that was roomy and stutdy. This bag was big enough to hold a large laptop. With the inside organizer sections and zippered pocket, everthing stays organized. The leather exterior is soft and supple. I’ve not had any trouble with the black rubbing off onto my clothes. The only thing I would change would be a leather strap rather than the webbing. Otherwise, I love this bag.

Purchased this bag over 7 years ago and after daily usage is finally starting to wear out. This is not from the lack of quality but rather from excessive use. The metal clips are worn almost through and the one zipper is ripping. The price is totally worth it as the bag still looks great all these years later and gets compliments. I will probably be purchasing a new one soon and I was happy to see it is still available. Highly recommend!

Leather is must when it comes to longevity in a business case and this Samsonite portfolio case combines quality construction with elegant design. It was late, almost closing time, when I saw this case on the shelf, however the store assistant assured me that there was plenty of time to examine the case and decide. I bought and am very happy with the satchel, and not being rushed or pressured to buy is all the more reason I will continue to shop here in the future. Great quality merchandise everyday, frequent discounts and exceptional staff make this purchase not only today's bargain but one of many delightful shopping experiences I have had here over the years.
Absolutely love this bag - I was wanting a messenger bag for a long time, but was really hesitant buying something online as many bags that were relatively inexpensive also had reviews of the bag falling apart in a short amount of time. I also had an issue with a cheap leather bag gifted to me a few years ago that stained all of the pants I wore with it. I found this bag in store and fell in love - the quality of materials is excellent, it looks and feels great, comes with a 3 year warranty from Samsonite, and doesn't stain my clothes.

The laptop sleeve can hold more recent thin laptops just fine (14" Lenovo T440), with plenty of room to spare for several books, folders, or other documents. My larger, heavier duty laptop (15.6" HP 8540w) also fits but the large charger takes up most of the remaining compartment space. This isn't necessarily a problem with the bag, more a feature of having a large "workhorse" type laptop. All of the zippers, seams, straps, and clips have held up wonderfully after more than a year of nearly daily use. I love this bag. I get so many compliments about this bag. It is classic looking while still maintaining optimal functionality. Everyday, I carry; a 15 inch MacBook (and its bulky charger), several binders and folders for work, work cell phone and charger, approx 15 pens/pencils and markers, white out and tape, my glasses, a staper, and several other office items, and this bag carries it all perfectly. It's a portable desk. I work in the field so I'm always traveling and driving. I've gone through several other bags and none of them are as practical or as good looking as this Samsonite. Trust me, a stranger from the internet, this is the best messenger bag you will ever own.
The quality of this bag is very disappointing. The faux leather is very cheap and lightweight, I am not expecting this to last long. I am most disappointed in the color, the bag is not reddish brown as the picture displays, it is black. If Samsonite was honest with their marketing photos I would not have expressed interest in this bag, I was looking for a reddish brown bag not a black one. Overall I am very disappointed in Samsonite for the lack of quality and misleading marketing. Because I received this as a gift i will use it, however, I will never buy anything Samsonite again due to their false marketing strategy.
