A first time buyer. I love this. A great addition to vegetables, and especially soups. It’s a little oily, but if you turn jar on it’s side, can drain some oil off! I add extra garlic. Will buy again.

This used to be purchased frequently. The new jar with the new recipe pesto was a surprise. It tasted disgusting, very garlicky and of nothing else. It was not even a nice garlic taste. The texture also changed to a smooth puree that is quite unpleasant.

I absolutely love the Coriander Pesto. It has a unique flavour myself and family adore. It’s really very hard to find it stocked in shops so turned to Sacla. I wasn’t disappointed. The delivery was fast and a good price far better than on other internet sites. So happy I’ve found it is still available through the Sacla site. Great service and communication and my favourite pesto..

I was expecting Greta things from this, and I guess the description was right. If you want fire try it but for me I was expecting a lovely balanced flavour with a kick. I added half a jar to a pasta dish and for someone who likes spice the heat dominated and I had knock it back with some cream cheese I had in the fridge. As a creamy spiced sauce it was ok but unbalance flavour and heat for me.
Thank you for inviting me to comment. I love this product and use it in almost everything I cook. The smell of coriander reminds me of my grandmother’s cooking so everytime I open the lid of one of these jars, I’m transported into her kitchen when I was 6 years old and watched her cook.The only problem I encounter is that it isn’t widely available in the stores and none of the main supermarkets in the UK actually carry it. Not a problem because I can order it directly from you guys at Sacla. Thank you, do t stop making it.
We have been buying this for many years as it was the only dairy free and nut free pesto on the market for severely allergic child. First issue- Recipe changed and wasn’t marked on website when purchased. Very disappointing.Secondly- hopefully company will revert to previous recipe- they had captured the school market as most UK schools are nut free and this pesto was possible to take to school- now not.
This pesto is OK but if there had been a chilli version, Id have gone with that and I will be pepping it up with chilli next time we use it. Being lower salt and sugar, it needs a little help to bolster the flavour it loses through these reductions. Adding salt or cheese would defeat the object and and Im pretty sure that a little chilli kick will probably help. A bit meh on its own.
Sacla has changed its labelling and, to some, its recipe. This is one and, for me, the better. It is less oily than before and the texture denser, garlic is more prominent, and the smoke flavouring (whatever that is!) is lighter. It is an unusual pesto, also vegan/vegetarian. Give it a go!
I was hooked on this when I started to eat it many years ago. I’m such a fussy eater and after not being able to shop at another supermarket and coming to others it was their own brand pesto or other cheaper ones and they were all disgusting, my kids hated it too, almost tasted a lot of vinegar which was unexpected. I don’t know how they normally do it in Italy but if it tastes like Sacla’s version I’m all for it. So glad since moving to Asda they have it here and will usually pay the full price which is the same no matter where I go as it’s that tasty and it is expensive. The only off putting thing for me is the amount of oil but that does come in handy if you only use half the jar to put back in the fridge.
I can’t understand why this product isn’t loved (reading some of the reviews on your website and having had it disappear from all my local supermarkets' shelves). It may be people are trying this solely on pasta and maybe they're expecting it to taste like basil pesto, which it doesn't; it's fresher and tangier. Thankfully, it's still available via your website.I don’t really eat pasta any more but this pesto reminds me of the green Mojo Sauce from the Canary Islands and I use it similarly. I enjoy it as a sauce with new potatoes in their skins or with a jacket, with white fish or squid, or with fresh bread and cheddar or Lancashire cheese. A little sauce goes a long way and luckily it refrigerates well.
