I saw this tool while watching a home renovation show and thought i could use it around the shed and garage for small jobs. I put it to good use when making the cat litter box and almost every weekend I am using it for some thikering jobs. I plan to buy the 150+ accessories box.

Great tool but........Got it for a Xmas present, needed to drill a 1mm hole in something on Boxing Day, ah ha lets test the new rotary tool. Much to my disappointment the ONLY supplied chuck was too large for a 1mm drill bit. I had to order other 3rd party chucks off eBay. Its a rotary tool, its for small tasks, fine work and out of the box you cannot use a small drill bit. Either supply decent accessories in the kit, to at least have an optional extra's kit.

great tool at the right price. Added this tool to the ryobi collection. With the added bonus of using one battery across the entire ryobi range is a real bonus. Highly recommed the ryobi range for quality and value for money
I have used this for repairing RC vehicles and have found it an absolute pleasure to use. It has more than enough grunt, far more comfortable to use, easier to change tools and the tools are far better quality than than my old electric powered tool I purchased from Jaycar. Plus the convenience of the battery power makes it so much easier to set up. My only concern is the locking lever; very convenient but the casing around it spreads as you tighten the collar, aside from that highly recommended for the hobbyist.
Multi Rotary Tool Review. This is an OK tool. Battery seems to drain fast. Although it is supposedly wireless, the reality is a significant cable linked to a battery. My reckoning is that a plug in tool like a Dremel may be a better option.
The bits included with the tool are hardly useable, the large sander skins are too big for the corresponding bit as well. It's also uncomfortably loud on the higher settings. However with new bits the machine itself functions very well
This is yet another great battery operated tool from Ryobi. 95% of my tools are now battery operated and thus provides a great degree of flexibility when working. I bought this tool for fine sanding and carving of Timbers and it’s really great and easy to use.
I had a 240v version of this and this Ryobi 18v plus One is far better in almost every way. Including more power than a 240v one. If I had to go thru it all again, I would forget the 240v entirely and just go straight for the this one.
I have used this a couple of times its very portable. Battery life is good I have 4 and 5 amp batteries. The main unit can be suspended from a wall or bracket which helps the handpiece to be freer in use. I bought it to do some engraving on brass and I have to say it did struggle a bit with this task. Great for sanding in tight spots and the cut off wheels work well. It did come with a nice collection of attachments as well. They all seem interchangeable with rotary tool type accessoriesOverall I'm quite happy with is
