Works great with good pickup power. Only down side is storage of the accessories and parts. They get in the way when not used for a job and when finished. It would be better to have a removable rack that can slide around the drum or be removed easily.

I've been using the Wet & Dry for 3 months now and it does what it says on the tin. Suction is fine and does well with small leaves, sand, dust and the wet suckup is quite okay too. Works okay when connected to saws and router to pull off sawdust/chips. Of course, being cordless is great so easy to take out to the car and haul onto the roof to do gutters - it's light enough to carry about (I haven't bothered putting the wheels on) - but it does burn through a 4Ah battery well within 20 minutes, so good to have at least one on standby. But it could be much better with design fails including: hose is about 50cm too short and I don't think it will last long with being stepped on, as others have noted too; the hose connection at the business end needs to have a swivel, ... So there, a bit of a whinge that if fixed would mean a 5 star, but at 3 it's still a good buy if you want a relatively inexpensive but sufficiently convenient and good vacuum with the wet and dry flexibility.

Suction on this machine is good. What lets it down is the hose and the head which are cheaply made and not flexible enough to really let you get into corners or the underside of furniture. But for convenience I give it a 5 there is enough power in the battery system to get a good clean.

Overall, worked well and had good suction. On sawdust it seems to collect more than my old workshop vacuum. It also worked well picking up wash water from carpet as well. The unit is very light when empty, so is the hose, which helps for when you have to sand a wall or overhead. I went for the battery model because I can’t always reach a power point. This made it a little more expensive than competing corded models, including other corded Ryobi vacuums, but worth it for me.Some improvements that would take this from a 3 star to a 5 would be :The hose can rotate where it attaches to the main unit, but not where you add a tool or attachment. Having that would make the hose far less awkward when using a sander or saw.The model I have is battery and it drains ... MoreOverall, worked well and had good suction. Having that would make the hose far less awkward when using a sander or saw.The model I have is battery and it drains very quickly. A hybrid option for cord or battery, like the Ryobi fans, would greatly improve versatility. Some of the Ryobi branded tools don’t quite fit the hose, or are loose. My old generic vacuum was a much better fit.An option for a longer hose would help convenience and safety. When trying to sand higher up on a wall the hose couldn’t reach as far up as my arm could, or if I went on a ladder I would need to lift the vacuum as well.Clips to store the hose on the outside of the unit, like the other attachments. As it is, you need to leave the hose attached, which takes up a lot of space, or take it off and store separately.Include a dust pre filter. This is suggested in the video on the Ryobi site about how maintain the vacuum, but is not included or stocked at Bunnings.
Very convenient being battery powered. This is the main reason I purchased. The only thing that concerns me is the hose. It being plastic looks like it could bend or be crushed quite easily. Overall the product is great for the shed where you would never take the house vacuum cleaner. Also great for the car.
I've owned it for about 6 months now and I have to say it's pretty good. It's not overly powerful, not overly quiet, but it cleans the workshop floor, clears swarf from the lathe's chip tray (including the long stuff with a little poking),chips from the CNC router's coolant filter and generally makes life easy by being light enough to be able to gab and go, and powerful enough to do a quick clean before getting on with work.If I could go around and do it again, I'd definitely buy this product again.
Excellent little vac for use around the home. Ideal for keeping the garage floor clean and also for cleaning around the pool area. Being battery powered makes it so easy to use as you do not need to drag extension leads around outside, especially around the pool.
Happy with my purchase as the suction was fine. Cleaned car interior well enough but will not give your carpets a deep clean. Plastic cleaning tools and tubes feel a little weak, don’t press too hard, feels like they’ll crack. Plastic hose is very stiff, again cheap plastic. Don’t regret my purchase but think Ryobi could do better than offer brittle cheap plastic parts.
I’ve been using Ryobi power tools for over 10 years and the recent years I’ve purchased a dozen of Ryobi one plus power tools. Using the same Ryobi batts. for all your Ryobi power tools is a very useful and logical approach. Long manufacturer’s warranty is a peace of mind.
I saw this on a Mighty Car Mods YouTube Video and went down to Bunnings the next morning to buy one. I purchased the unit plus a Charger and 5.0 Amp/Hr battery kit all for less than $300. This is my first Ryobi Cordless product. I've been looking for a cordless vacuum for ages - the stick ones just don't suck hard enough and there's a few at around $1000 that look OK but thats way too expensive for me. I'm super happy with this purchase. It's light and extremely easy to move around. Best of all, it's a powerful little sucker.
