Cats gobbled and lost weight

My two male cats were both overweight and I realised (with vet prompting) that they needed to shed a kilo each to keep them tree climbing fit. The vet recommended Satiety to me and once I got over the horror of the price, I fed each of them an exact 55g a day for some weeks. I thought it looked like compressed sawdust but they loved it and slowly turned into slimmer versions of themselves. C1 still bleated for more as he's a very hungry kitty but I managed to fob him off so he just stuck to his daily ration. I'm assuming that Satiety did what it was supposed to do and gave the cats a full(ish) feeling with less calories. It was worth it and now they can go on a maintenance diet.

Excellent for our overweight cat

Our big kitty who doesn't like to play and exercise has excess weight and had a urinary issue that required surgery a few years ago, which is why we need the S/O index food. We've had him and his brother on this food with no issues for years. The big one still weighs a bit more than he should because we use an auto feeder that puts out just slightly too much food sometimes, but when we manually monitor it this also helps him lose weight. He is still very food motivated and begs a bit, but it has kept his urinary tract healthy and that's the most important part. Also, both cats love the taste.

GREAT CRUNCHIES BUT BEWARE OPENING BOX

Satiety food is great though my cat, after many years, has not lost weight but then again, she's not gotten any fatter either. :DUnfortunately, I made the same mistake twice opening the box. Used one side of the scissors to run along the tape only to find that I've also slashed a long gash in the food packet (sigh). Packing tape patches it up but...Lesson hopefully learned for next time!

Kibble

My cat weighs in at 14.5 pounds & was recently prescribed SATIETY to lose SOME weight.I wanted to stay with Royal Canin as that was his brand (go to) for dry food, and so happens he loves his new RX food as he did with MommaCat BabyCat, Kitten & Weight. (The new kitten even tries to steal the kibble)I tried the wet of Satiety and so far no likey :/This boi LOVES food, whenever he hears the sound of the bag he comes ALIVE !!!Its been about 3 weeks, I can see a small difference. We go for a weight check in another 3 weeks to see if he's lost weight. I am hopeful and will update .

Miracle food

This food is amazing and my cat LOVES it. My baby weighted 26 lbs and no matter how low of calories we went with other diet foods he would cry like he was starving and wasn't losing weight till vet prescribed this food. It did take several adjustments to find the right amount needed but after that the weight was just like melting off him. In a little less than a year he went from 26 lbs to 12 lbs he is a whole new cat. We did try to go to something cheaper but he started to gain again so we put him back on and when he was back at goal weight found the right amount needed to maintain it...I will never take him off this.

My cat is allergic to this

Bought this 8/16/21 for my 22lb cat, vet recommended prescription diet food. She loved this food and gobbled her portions up, great start!Then after awhile her eyes started draining brownish discharge, the vet said it was allergies. Time goes by and her right third eyelid starts showing, took her back to the vet the first of January, no scratches or anything wrong with the eye after dye and examination, treated both eyes for a week with antibiotic ointment, no change, he said it was obviously neuologiosal. She was not eating the food up anymore then on 1/17/21 she refused to eat any. She had become lethargic and not acting well for awhile. And then refused to eat anything! My vet even had a college go over her and everything to find nothing wrong. So they decided to give her a steroid shot to help her appetite because she had lost 1 1/2 pounds between appointments! My sister and I went over everything, the only change made in the past months was this food, nothing else. We just have come to the conclusion she is allergic to something in this food! I'm not saying it is bad food at all, she's just allergic to some ingredient(s) or chemical in production. So this is just signs I failed to connect until now. Doesn't mean it's happened to any others or will, it could happen with any food and cat just like people! Just will forever aware of the signs and pray as this gets out of her system she will be as well as possible!

My two slightly tubby 'kids' **love** the Adulty Satiety Support

I had originally purchased a Farmina weight control formula because Farmina is the normal brand I use for my two adults and kitten [what their breeder uses]. When I told her I was putting the two adults on Farmina's weight loss formula, she told me this Royal Canin variety is better for a diet because of the way it swells up in their tummies more than the Farmina, helping them feel full, so I ordered a bag. Yes, one is supposed to gradually transition to it, but I went 'cold turkey.' Both really, really enjoyed it from the first bite. After posting this I am placing another order for it. I do not plan using this indefinitely. Ever serve a prime rib with hunks out of it or strip steaks with edges missing and a hole in the middle? I have, lol [assume the heat will kill any germs]. Bringing to room temperature now done in the oven or microwave.

No satiety support

Giving this product one star because at least they like the food. My two orange tabbies will devour this food, as if they’ve never been fed. We were informed by our vet this should help them feel more full longer, it’ll help them lose weight, and we should have less begging from them. It’s honestly as if this food makes them more hungry and beg even more, if not constantly. An hour passes by, and they’re ready to eat again. We can’t walk near our pantry without being followed and constant meowing. We get woken up constantly in the night for food, no matter how late we wait to feed them their dinner. My cats never seem “satiated” after eating this food. I feel this food is a waste for all the money I’ve spent on it over the past year.

Works Amazing Sensitive Tummy

My little kitty loves this food, and it's been amazing for her weight and hygiene. She's a very fluffy cat and previously would get little dingleberries and streaks all in her tail and pantaloons, and bc she was a little chonky she couldn't quite reach to clean herself. But since we swapped over to this food in March she's been the picture of health. She quickly lost weight and has maintained a healthy weight since then. She's much happier grooming herself and has far less to clean. She loves this food and she hasn't had any tummy issues since she's been on it.She definitely still begs for food, although not as much as she used to when she was on other brands.We will be using this forever
