Bought 3 of them to use in different rooms to keep an eye on the dogs when we are not home. I already have a Ring subscription so they were pretty easy to add. Only minor complaint is that it seems one of them has a lower threshold before it goes into night vision mode (enables when it is still fairly bright). Makes the picture not so good even with color NV enabled. I could probably return/exchange but not worth the trouble. 4 stars is for the overall Ring app experience. The ability to filter events is limited in both the browser and app. The browser view which I have to use on my computer since there is no Windows app has limited options to change settings. Nice security camera which is easy to set up. I just wish there was a way to discretely mount it in my main living room. The black color and the shape of it really stands out. The features are normal. Tia a high quality image and the recording (as long as you have a ring protect subscription) is top notch. The price is very good also. The Best Buy reps in store really know their stuff when it comes to the entire Ring system of products and that’s a big plus when trying to decide what to purchase.

I purchased this camera to set up in the living room to keep an eye on my dog while I'm at work. The camera has very good video quality in normal light and decent low light performance. Camera has options for motion detection activation and live view. Motion detection works as expected and I never receive false activations. There is also a two-way audio feature which allows you listen and talk. The received audio is very good; however, the speaker is very small in the camera which results in almost unintelligible audio. Overall this is a good camera for my intended purpose and I would recommend it to others.

Love all my Ring products. Bought a cheaper pet camera that would not connect to my network and it messed up my network! I returned it to Best But with no hassles at all and got this Ring…should have just gone with this one to begin with as I already have Rings. They connected in seconds AND I was able to make it so they don’t record video and don’t get set off by motion! Great camera for pet owners! I am able to see the whole area so no need for movement that other cameras offer; however, I got an email from Best Buy about a mount you can put it in that allows you to rotate the camera with the App if this is a feature you want!

I ended up buying a little metal mountable shelf (4x4) that sticks to the inside of the window and it does the trick. I have one of the best internet packages you can get from Cox, and the only thing that connected (when I am home, its my cellphone and TV, not a gamer or have anything that takes up a lot of the connection) to it during the day (a good solid 12 hrs), are the 4 ring cameras I have around the house. And although picture quality is good... I get a lot of missed seconds/minutes. Example; I had a package delivered to the front door (with a ring in the window), and when you go back ... Pros: Brilliant clear picture on videos. Lights good and bright. Easy to install by competent DIY’er. Cons: The detection zones are a little difficult to set up and seem to be inconsistent - the motion detection picks up things that are outside of the detection zone I have set. Also detection seems more sensitive at night - being set off by cars passing in the street (even on the other side) when the zone is set to just inside the bottom of my drive. The lack of ability to move spotlights sideways (they only move up and down) - to cover the area I wanted to cover (and not light up half my neighbours garden) I had to mount the whole unit at an angle - the camera though flexes in all directions so doing this did work.
Recommend this product. Overall pretty good, connected it up with my existing outdoor cameras. Easy to connect and set up to app. Quality picture and clear sound. The only slight issue was it started glitching a few times where the motion defection wasn’t working even though it was turned on. Which I guess is a critical point if used for security. I had to turn off and reset due to this issue.
I’ve had this camera for 3 days waiting for it to finish all its updates it works for a couple minutes and it starts another update. How many updates does this camera need and why not do it in a bulk update? Thought it was a great price for a ring disappointed with the fisheye lens view and issues with so many updates. Didn’t get to actually see it work. I don’t believe it was the internet as I’ve downloaded gb files for gaming consoles and computer programs before without a problem.
I recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for a simple indoor camera that brings function, control and affordability without the hassle of installation (BB didn't ship my first order. so I had to wait longer to receive it, just saying). Not only is Ring a trusted brand, but the audio, streaming and video recordings are good quality for the price. I also believe you get a 30 day trial for movement recordings to store on the cloud for a while etc, but it will still allow you to stream without it. I'm going with the small monthly subscription to upload on the cloud for playback reasons. I live in an apartment and maintenance tend to come in without prior notice while I'm out. This camera gives some peace of mind knowing what's going on while I'm out.The actual ... The software gives more control than a lot of other cameras on this budget level. I appreciate being able to control motion sensitivity and decide what area in the room's purview I don't want the motion detector to pickup. My living room curtains are always moving and my previous budget camera would send annoying motion alerts despite being on the less sensitive detection. With the software/phone app, I am super pleased to "disarm" the camera lens when I'm home without plugging it out for privacy (it doesn't have a physical privacy slider to block the lens, so due to a little paranoia, I once still covered it with a ventilated styrofoam cup for good measure -- I know). Also, since I had to unplug my previous camera just for privacy, couple times in the mornings I forgot to plug it back in. This would cause frustration while at work. Now, I can keep this camera plugged in all the time. If I leave and forget the "disarm" on, I can simply remove it remotely with the app and start viewing/recording. I plan to get another one!
Initially bought this and a doorbell camera. Set this up when I got it home and it was great. Tried setting up the doorbell camera but just kept having trouble. Someone suggested unplugging the stick camera and deleting the device from the app while trying to connect the doorbell camera, was running out of ideas, so thought I'd try. Setting up the doorbell camera failed, so when I tried to set the stick camera back up, it failed as well. Keeps telling me something is wrong with my internet connection. I have several devices connected to the Wi-Fi at any given moment, so obviously there's something Ring devices don't like about what I got. Too bad, I really enjoyed having that stick camera up.
