Revlon Salon One Step Hair Straightening Brush

I already have other tools to air dry and straighten my hair but I was interested in this one because as its tagline says, it could work for my second day hair (or when I dont wash it). I love how easy and fast it is to use, I have straight hair but you can definitely see a difference and it took me less than 10 minutes. I think it is a great option for beginners. My hair felt so soft and shinny after using it. It was very affordable and so useful, loved the results.

Does Completely Opposite !

As a African American woman, i try to attempt to use different products to see how it my hair would respond to it. I also tried it with the weave i wear. It doesn't straighten it unless its aleady comes straight. I like how it responds to loose wave hair. Instead of it straighten as it suppose to it really curls my hair deeper than it was. It could be better as far as not just for my natual hair, but with weave but it only responds to a certain type of hair texture. Hopefully, this will help out later on when your testing your product. Make sure you test it on all types and shades of different hair of all types of different woman all different shades. Thanks!

Easy to use!

I have a great flat iron but it will only take small amount of hair to straighten. Since this brush is longer , you can put more hair in it to straighten. I did find it works best on second day hair. Right after I washed my hair after blow out , I felt the straightening brush made my ends frizzy. Flat iron works better on just washed hair. I will keep the Revlon product since it's not expensive. My hair is curly and I need to put a lot of effort into making it look smooth. This is a good extra tool to have in my drawer

Exactly what I needed- 4C KINKY COILY HAIR

I have 4C Kinky coily natural hair so I was hesitant on purchasing this product.I started out by blow/stretch-drying my hair on cool(didn't want to add heat since the brush was heated).I have to say the brush worked better then I thought. It says to set 390-430 for "coarse-hard-to-style hair" but I didn't need it that hot. I turned it back down to 230 because I didn't want my hair "bone straight". I just wanted it to have a blown out look to get braids the same day.Normally I would have aired dried my hair but I didn't have time since I was getting braids in 2hrs.This tool worked great on my hair. I'm sure if I kept passing it through my hair it would have been STRAIGHT straight. But that's not the look I was going for.

Gives me a blow out look

I have fine hair that is long, layered and permed. I lift large sections of hair and run this brush through on the underneath, rotating the brush a bit as I get to the ends. The review that mentions 8 minutes is right - so quick. The result is a bit of lift at the scalp and a wispy blown out look. Completely straightens out the perm with out looking "ironed flat" or frizzy as it would with an air blower styler. It heats up fast. I can easily set it down between doing sections. I've haven't had any problems with getting burned. This item is the perfect hair straightener for me.

Great styling tool! Just be careful!

Good but snags hair. I’ve been growing out bleached hair. So there is some breakage. I use a heat protection spray then do small sections making my way up my head. On the breakage areas, I definitely feel this straightening brush tug. Even when I detangle sections first, it still snags. I’m hoping with time it won’t be as bad, as it was my first use. Next time, I plan on taking super thin sections in the bad areas and going slow and gentle. Now that I know what to expect, it should go better. Great styling tool though. I love that it’s long and I can take a longer section and get my hair done in less time. Swivel cord is nice too.

I loved this hair straightener! It was great while it worked. Did not flatten my hair too much and was very easy and fast to use. But after only a few months the bristles started bending and then falling out. All of the bristles are now gone from the middle of the brush. And then it just stopped heating up one day. I only used it a few times a week since purchasing in October. I expected it to last a little longer than a few months even though it was not that expensive, it wasn't that cheap either. I do not have the receipt any more and it looks like Revlon only honors a 30 day warranty.

I have very thick, long, naturally wavy/curly hair. It used to take me 30 minutes to dry my hair and then another 15-20 using a flat iron to straighten my hair. I had all but given up, wearing it naturally almost all the time. I decided to give this a try and it works! The first time I used it on damp hair (oops) because there were no instructions. I came here to find out that it is supposed to be used on dry hair. It did work fine on my damp hair...a few passes on each section to dry and straighten with no damage. The second time, I washed my hair in the evening, let it mostly air dry and then just rough blow dried the roots for about 5 minutes and went to bed. Long * THICK * Curly Hair

I have long,blonde, super thick hair! And I was very hesitant to purchase this straightener because of that. I read the reviews a couple times before making a decision. I have a really nice Paul Mitchell hair straightener at home and I use it every few days. It typically takes me 20 minutes to section off my hair to get a solid straight look. I also have to make sure it's 💯dry because if not that time gets closer to 30-40 minutes. I brought this straightener home and turned it on (which by the way this heats way faster than a regular straightener) and I started brushing my hair out really well. **This is a must!! I won't be looking back now. 👍🏻I really like that I'm brushing heat through my hair verses clamping my hair together between two scortching plates and damaging the entire strand. Straightens well; hair is shiny; it's heavy; no instructions

I saw this in the store and bought it because I thought it was a combo dryer and straightening too. I have very thick hair and I do NOT need volume! The item did not come with any instructions for use, so I used it on my hair wet right after shampooing. IT worked really well, but took a long time. It was only after finding this on line that I read that it is to be used on dry hair - woops! IT did leave my hair nice and straight, soft, and shiny without the "balloon" effect I often get froma hair dryer. I do think next time I will use a hair dryer a little tomake the process go faster. The brush is easy to use but it is heavy and I will probably not take it with me when I travel as it would just be too much weight in the suitcase.
