We purchased the bench in Dec. 2023 and have loved it the first month. A few highlights:- fast and free shipping- solid packaging with plenty of protection- clear directions to assemble, not too challenging- heavy duty materials - steel + bolts - allows for anything you will throw at the bench, including hip thrusts, bulgarian split squats, etc- excellent knurling on the handle of the bench for maneuvering- vertical storage is very stable and great for a limited space home gym- we chose the additional adjustable post to allow for decline positions, worth the upgrade in my opinion.

Hat's off to the engineering team on this stellar redesign on the Ab-5200 2.0 version. Dual tone color options and stainless steel handles make nice cosmetic upgrades. The cleangrip pad is more dense and much more "grippy" than the previous version. Wider rear base and anti-slip front pad make this very sturdy. They recessed the seat hinge, allowing for an even smaller pad gap and no issues there. Extra angle options (including 3 decline angles) is a fantastic improvement for customers just looking for more functionality. Lower weight than previous version means you can now pick this up and move it around with one hand and vertical storage is a huge space saver. It' isn't cheap but it's worth every penny.

This is an excellent bench. I kept debating between this one and the Zero gap. I probably would have been perfectly happy with either honestly. Initially, I was a bit concerned with doing bench presses with this bench, but the long top bench section is plenty long for flat bench (you sit on the upper section of the pad).The AB 5200 is also relatively easy to move around. Yes it weighs 125 lbs, but it is super easy to move using the handle and wheeling it to where you want it. I've picked it up one or twice to move it around a barbell, but even then it wasn't too extremely heavy for me.Overall, an excellent bench at the price point and feature set. I would recommend.

I love the bench and I’m glad I did the upgrade. It definitely feels more firm and I like the added length. I was nervous about the added weight, being a pain to move around the gym, but it’s fine. Definitely more premium experience.I debated getting all white versus white with black rails, and I initially tried white with black rails, but swapped them out for all white rails. The black rails were a bit much for me. I initially wanted to highlight the ability to customize colors, but in the end, I like the all white look.
Only 1 workout in….. only 1 knock.This bench is made of surprisingly high quality materials. I got the blue. The powder coat finish is great and the depth of color is better than expected. The pad seems comfortable so far. I’d like to get a ton of work into before I can comment on durability, but it seems like it should last. If you want a spotter you will need the attachment or a box. The back pad height requires it to be able to reach.The one thing I wish was different is the stability at the more upright positions. There is necessary “slop” because of the joint mobility in the ladder adjustment mechanism, but I think the culprit of any rocking is the small footprint of the foot beneath the seat. I’m super impressed with our new bench from Rep. We were deciding between the 5200 and the 4100 but glad we went with the one with the decline feature. The quality is great, sturdy, looks really nice, quite big and wide as it is without the wide pad upgrade, super easy to put together. Love the matte black, and the bench pad material is really nice too. I’m really impressed with the shipping as well - it arrived faster than I expected, duties included in the shipping, no additional shipping charges after ordering (in comparison with another not so great company I’ve ordered through). Well worth the cost for going with the 5200! The AB 5200 2.0 is a very solid bench that should outlast me. The new pads are very nice and grip well when benching. Adjustments are very quick and east with th ladder system. Assembly was pretty straight forward and took me less than 45 minutes. If I had to do it again it would be under 30 minutes. Watch you fingers. Delivery was incredibly fast, like 2 days fast and packaged well with no damage from FedEX. The pad gap is minimal and I am not even on the gap when benching because it is so long. Chose this over the Blackwing so I didn't need to adjust the zero gap and it is lighter to lift. Still heavy but not as bad as I was expecting. Overall the build quality of the bench is excellent. My one gripe is the handle & the awkward movement that results from it. The handle is located at the rear of the bench near the floor. When trying to lift the bench up to move it, the wheels will often start moving back toward you much faster than expected, and it also makes adjusting the bench to the left or right more cumbersome. It also means if you lift the bench too much while trying to move it, the wheel “stops” hit the floor much sooner than expected, so you constantly have to be somewhat hunched over to move the bench. It’s very awkward, especially in an enclosed space like a garage. I’m speaking to the bench position itself, not the incline position. The bench material itself is excellent: it’s firmly padded with plenty of room, and it has a nice sturdy quality. But the issues with the handle has made me consider a new bench with how cumbersome it is to reposition the bench when switching among exercises.
The flat bench was a homerun 5 stars, but the more i use this bench the more i dislike it. What i do like is the bench pad and material itself. It does look great but with some minor paint defects. As far as functionality goes is where its lacking. My biggest problem with it is the incline degree settings are not accurate. 30 degrees is just over 35, and as you increase the incline setting, it becomes more increasingly inaccurate. I tried to ignore it but it drives me crazy that i have 2 other, much cheaper incline benches that are more accurate than this one. 3 degree tolerance i could understand. But 6 is significant. You would be better off with cybex or other commercial gym inclines that have slightly smaller footprint, weight and similar price tag.

I have been waiting to upgrade to something that was heavier for more stability, a firmer pad, could stand up for storage, and didn't have leg rollers that got in the way during bench.
