What I thought would be a simple change over with my existing turned out to cost me so much in labour. The connections are so small that the electrician had to first join the looped cables in a joiner box because the connections are so small they can only accommodate one wire. They seem to work fine but are a bad design to wire

Purchased 8 months ago, has gone off 4 time since due to cooking nearby, activated two days ago, now wont stop triggering alarm, needs replacement.Not happy with this model, the cheaper model we had before lasted years longer.

Shxtty product,Brought two same time for the family 1 year ago, one or another alarm sometimes goes off at mid of night,First we through,might smoke or something, later on happened for no reason, have to remove at mid of night. And still beeping. Got one solution only. Put them in a bawl with water to stop the beeping.Do not want wake neighbors.
Quite simply, this is one of the worst electrical appliances I've ever had to connect. The terminal connections are tiny and could barely accomodate a pair of 1.5mm wires when linking the units together. The screwdriver required to turn the terminal screw is tiny and what should be a 5 minute exercise took over 20 minutes per unit and I had to install three. Don't buy them!!!
It can go off anytime with high humidity. Very irritating. Think before purchase.
I bought 2 of these yesterday & I have to say I found them very easy to install. The wiring fit easily into place even with 2 wires twisted together. The only gripe I have is the green power light that indicates power connected is very dull & hard to see if on.
