Pyrolux Industry Blue Steel 26cm Crepe Pan
Description With its origins embedded in a time honoured method of cooking, Pyrolux - Industry offers a range of professional cookware to suit your culinary needs. Features 1.5mm ā 2.0mm Blue Steel construction ā excellent heat conductor Withstands high temperatures and allows for longer preheating Hardwearing and easy to season to attain its own patina/nonstick properties Safe for use with metal objects once seasoned and its natural nonstick properties are present Suitable for all heat sources including Induction Does not retain odours due to the high density metal construction Requires only minimal care - Not advisable for dishwasher use Always heat up and cool down your pan gradually. Carbon steel handles become hot during cooking, always use a protective mitt or oven glove. Use & Care Before first use, clean the fry pan with very hot water and wipe dry. Pour 1cm of oil into the pan and heat on medium for 5 minutes or until the oil starts to bubble. Turn off the heat. This first step alone will even out any existing oily spots on the pan. Wait for the pan to cool off and discard the oil, wiping any excess oil off with a paper towel. At that stage, the pan starts to darken and loses its marks and spots. Repeat this process one or two more times. The more the pan is used, the better the performance. The darker it becomes the better it is for natural nonstick properties. To ensure that the pan keeps its properties and in order to avoid oxidation, wash it in hot tap water immediately after use, and then wipe it immediately with a paper towel, ensuring it is completely dry, before thinly oiling and storing in a dry place.

After years of using a heavy cast iron skillet to make my crepes in, I decided to treat myself to an actual crepe pan. I have not been disappointed. It's so much lighter, and cooks the crepes quicker. My only issue was with seasoning the pan, where I wasn't 100% I had done it properly (yes, I followed the instructions) and it left a dark ring around the pan. However, my first crepe making went without a hitch. Best of all, the handle doesn't heat up, so I'm not trying to spread my batter with an oven mitt on. Highly recommended.

This is the first blue steel crepe pan I purchase. It works great on an induction stove and virtually non stick after a couple of use. It does require seasoning of the pan before use. It is not as heavy as the cast iron pans I have which good as you reduce the risk of cracking the induction cooktop with the heavier pans. Cooking eggs in the crepe pan is a breeze as it does not stick. Highly recommended.

This is the fifth Pyrolux Industry blue steel pan I have purchased, they are so easy to cook with and clean that I have bought them for my daughters as well! Cooking is fast and non-stick, the more I use the pan the better it is to cook with. The pan is light weight and a great alternative to the heavier gauge pans as I have difficulty lifting due to arthritis.

These pans need to be oiled and cured properly to make them nonstick.
I would love to give this pan five stars but I can't, I have yet to be able to make a crepe in it that doesn't stick to it like **** even though it has been well and truly seasoned. BUT, having said that, there are only two of us and this is not a large size pan, but I have cooked some of the most beautiful steaks and meat I have ever cooked in this same pan - used it for my meat in an emergency one night and have never looked back. I don't why it cooks meat so beautifully, but I wouldn't swap it for the world and intend to purchase the very large size one in the near future - would luv to be able to do my crepes though.
This is the fourth Pyrolux Blue Steel pan I have purchased and the natural non-stick properties of this pan just improves with use. It is absolutely the best crepe pan I have ever used. In a commercial kitchen I am using all of them at once to keep up with the demand for pancakes :)) everyone loves them.
The crepe pan looks good & it works as well as it looks. The first addition of batter cooked beautifully. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I was using my new induction cooktop . Iām looking forward to more usage.
I have seasoned these 3 times in a row, plus the initial clean, and they both perform exceptionally well. You can pour crepe mixture straight into these, and whilst swirling the mixture around, they almost do not stick. Then, the best part, the small lip allows you to flip like a pro.Very happy with these, glad I found this site. Most certainly will review and buy some thing else, LOL!Cheers
This is very terrible! Whatever I cooked, it always made my foods became garbages. At the beginning, I thought maybe is my mistake when I use it, and I try again and again, it comes the same results! I was very disappointed about I bought this pan.
Pan seasoned really well and it's non-stick characteristics are as good (if not better) than chemically coated pans. Heats and cooks very even and clean-up is as simple as wiping out with a paper towel.
