Pure Protein Bar - Chocolate Deluxe - 6 Bars

Pure Protein bars have been a mainstay brand in the protein bar market, and it's easy to see why: they're portable and relatively cheap, and come in a wide range of flavors. I picked up a 23-count variety pack at Costco for $27.99 ($1.22/bar, which is a great price), but sometimes, the box will even go on sale for $22.99, which comes out to just under $1 per bar - you can rarely ever beat that! This specific Chocolate Deluxe flavor is one of my favorites: it's dense and fudgy, with a pronounced chocolate flavor. The inside of the bar is a rich, chocolatey filling, and it isn't overly gritty or dry - there are even tiny chocolate chips in there! At 50 grams and only 2g of fiber, it's not the most filling protein bar out there, but at 180 calories and 21g of protein, it has some of the best macros on the market. I would say that this is an affordable, tasty option for a protein bar, and while I enjoy other brands like Quest and Barebells more, you really can't beat the price and the macros on this thing.

It tastes great! The low carb, low fat, Sucralose, high protein blend is perfect.These bars have doubled in price since 2020 COVID shutdown %26 inflation…that’s my only complaint. That’s on Walmart %26 retailer’s as much as manufacturer’s. All of you were not shutdown, only small local businesses on a globalist level. For our health sake please lower the price. 😉

Pure protein chocolate bar, Wow!!I remember a time when this product could have have been considered illegal,Oops !! different time.It's so good that it could have fallen into the same category .chocolate pure protein .Come on now I can't get away from them!I don't feel so bad though, because it's pure protein,And it's very rich chocolate, it's very chewy ,which I don't mind at all,Pure protein chocolate deluxe, I find it, it's the perfect snack to be watching a movie with,I think two bars at one sitting is perfect, it's just fine with me,Do we get enough protein,It's pure protein,and it taste this great!!yes , I'm in my seventies, and I think kids would love this bar, Even if you told them that it was good for them.

I buy several of these every week, %26 after trying many of the different flavors, this one is my favorite! However, I’m buying fewer of them now due to the price increase, as it’s making them a bit more expensive than I feel I can afford %26 more than I think they should cost. As an RN, I started eating these after having open heart surgery to help me heal better %26 to help lose weight. Protein is essential for both of those things. I usually eat one or two daily, sometimes 3. They help satisfy my hunger cravings %26 my craving for chocolate, %26 taste almost like a candy bar! I don’t really care for the new box design-it makes it look rather cheap, which it is far from. Also, they’re sometimes hard to get. The employees are the problem

This Walmart has nothing but self checkouts. And yet these people try to control everything and then go back to standing around talking instead of helping the ones that actually need help. Instead of directing people to which register they need to focus on the people that require approvals or items added or taken off. And there’s absolutely no need for 5 employees up by the few registers that are there. All that is needed is one person to help with registers. And one person by the door to make sure nobody steals. Maybe then they won’t have enough time to grab people’s buggy’s or get in their faces to ask them cash or credit. My rating is against the store and not the product. The product is great

They were stale or defective, weird chemical smell

I used to eat these just fine for years until this purchase. All of the protein bars in the case had white stuff all over them, and they smelled like weird alcohol and chemicals. The date of expiration was still many months out. They must have gone stale, the girl at the counter when I returned them said that they probably were in the heat at some point. If that’s the case then it was the Walmart truck or something, because I take the case to work and my job site is very air conditioned. But that doesn’t explain the weird chemical smell. It was honestly so off putting that I’ll never buy this brand again, not at Walmart not anywhere. I know protein bars are highly processed foods but still. I’m going to stick to assorted nuts from now on for my work snacks.

Okay. Do not buy these unless you are just in it for the protein. They taste like wet, chewy chalk. It does not taste like you are eating food, but that you have bit into a candle that looked like food. Straight up wax consistency and burnt flavor. Overall, terrible. After taste sticks in your mouth. I am not a picky eater and these were so miserable.

less chalky than I rememeber

my first thought was literally “wow” when I took a bite. I haven’t bought these in a little more than a year and I used to eat these religiously because easy protein of course. Anyway I just tried them again and the packaging is different and so is the texture? My first bite I was not expecting it, it’s definitely not as chalky as it used to be. Like it’s still thick and chewy but not like disgustingly chalky like a lot of protein bars. this was chalky too which I mean is understandable but also that’s why I get tired of protein bars because of that fake taste so this isn’t that bad. But I will have to change it up still so I don’t get tired, I wonder if they changed all their formulas or whatever.

I love chocolate. It was unfortunate..but not since I found these. 3 grams of sugar. 180 calories 21 grams of protein. its my diet. I lost most of the weight I gained during my chemotherapy and medication. If not for these I would of been eating bad chocolate. only disappointing is the hike in price. I do have to limit mine due to that, my limited income doesnt afford the almost 7.00 a box increase. the package changed if they factor into the increase what a shame. also noticed the bar seems smaller. so its sad.
