The Platinum #3776 Century "Nice" (inspired by the city of Nice on the Cte d'Azur and the sunlight of Southern France) is a beautiful demonstrator pen. I don't post it, but it can be posted and still be well balanced. The pen comes in a pretty cardboard box, cartridge and converter included. It's Platinum's silver top converter, not the gold one, which may seem odd with regard to the pen's gold trimmings, but I like it this way. I think the silver matches the rose gold trimmings better than the yellowish color of the golden converter. A beautiful pen and a joy to write with!

The Platinum 3776 Bourgogne is a rich, jewel-like red. I bought this pen for its UEF nib to use in a Nakaya fountain pen (I'd "modified" the Nakaya UEF with a barely perceptible ding on the bathroom sink when cleaning it, haha. Lucky for me, the nib still writes beautifully, if no longer an UEF.), and I was so surprised by the pretty red of the Bourgogne that, actually, I ordered a second one from the same seller, penpen-avenue. (This one, though, has rhodium trim and an EF nib.) Platinum, one of the big three Japanese fountain pen brands, makes a beautifully utilitarian product with the 3776 model. I highly recommend it.

This is my first gold nib pen after a few years of using steel nibs. I did my research very thoroughly, as I wanted a gold nib that looked nice but also had a fine nib for thin writing. I'm so in love! It writes beautifully, with a slight feedback that makes me 'feel' what I'm writing. Not scratchy, but close. Sheening ink still flows, but I do notice it has a tendency to clog slightly, so just something to keep in mind. It is more lightweight than what I had thought, but that has actually come to make the writing experience much better. This was my grail pen. I wanted a pen that was the perfect shade of green, with gold trim and a gold nib. This was it. The green is dark, but not so dark that you can't tell it is green. It's dark enough that you cannot clearly see the pen's inner workings, but translucent enough to catch light just right. I LOVE Platinum nibs. I have a Procyon and a Curidas and I love them both. The fine gold nib does not disappoint. I don't get any line variation, but that's okay, I don't want any. It writes dry, so no smearing, blobs instead of closed-loop letters, or anything distracting to deal with. It works well with some of my wetter inks, particularly the ones that are messy in wetter pens. The pen writes very nicely. The gold nib does what I hoped it would do: create a flexible and satisfying writing experience. That said, the look of the body of the pen is...somewhat disappointing. Yes, I saw on the website the closeup photos of it, so I knew what I was getting. Once in hand, though, it looks kinda like a cheap semi-clear plastic. A lovely color, but it just doesn't look like it should've cost +$200. The gold trim, yes, I get that; it's lovely. And, again, I acknowledge I'm paying for the gold nib. It's just the overall feeling of value I like to have a little better than this, for spending that much (quite a lot for me) on a pen.

I ordered this pen along with pilot sterling silver and sailor 1911L ( from william penn ).Unlike pilot this is not that smooth and silky to write , it doesn't have that scratchy feedback like sailor nibs. Overall I found it to be pretty ordinary pen , not worth 20k.Put in some more money to get either pilot or sailor nibs
