The Philips Sonicare Sensitive brush head replacements have significantly reduced my gum bleeding and improved my overall cleaning. They’re effective without hurting, the bristles are much more comfortable and I have them on Amazon auto ship so I receive a 15% discount. I highly recommend these for anyone with sensitive skin or gums.

These toothbrush replacements are very good, and do a very good job cleaning. They fit perfectly, and there's never an issue with the brushes slipping off. My issue was with the vendor. I received the package crushed and open on the sides. One of the toothbrush caps was shattered, and the other one was cracked. I sent an email to the vendor explaining this, and never heard back. For this reason, I will not be doing any further business with this vendor.

The bristles are pretty good for sensitive teeth/gums. My issue is that they aren’t compatible with the force sensor built into the toothbrushes. If you have sensitive gums like I do (from brushing too hard over the years), it seems like it should be obvious that this capability be added to the sensitive brush heads, as people that ACTUALLY have this issue are likely to be buying brush heads to reduce the damage to their gums. The entire reason I purchased this toothbrush was to be alerted that I’m brushing too hard. The sensitive/soft brush heads aren’t compatible with this. I think that’s a huge oversight.

Great for Sensitive Teeth or For Special Needs Brushing
1 June 2017

These gentle or sensitive brushes are not made to guarantee remove 7, 8 or 10X the plaque that manual brushing does. They are made to perform excellent cleaning and certainly better than manual brushing. That said, however, for those with very sensitive teeth these are the brushes needed to clean the teeth without causing pain from tooth sensitivity which can very painful. However, there is another good reason to use these brushes as in my case. I was taking 60mg OxyContin for chronic pain from neck to knee for CTTH, four herniated discs, and chronic arthritis all through my body. The pain was excruciating. Unfortunately, nodoctor warned me that one of the side effects of OC was and is dry mouth. After years of going to the dentist only to have them cleaned and being told I had the strongest teeth of anyone they ever treated, and never had any treatment on my teeth since I was 13 for a few teen cavities and later replacing amalgam for gold, going to the dentist was rather boring. But then, after two years of taking OC, I learned that I had developed cavities along the gum line some highly progressed and some very new. Unfortunately, I had skipped one of my six-month visits to the dentist and that proved "fatal" for it was during that one year period when the development of the cavities started. Two Molars had to be removed by an oral surgeon, and 19 other teeth had large to minimum gum line cavities. Today, I take Pilocarpine to help keep saliva flowing which is what stopped and caused the cavities to form in the first place. My fillings along the gum line are Fuji and are not hard metal but are of medium hardness and a hard bristle brush head such as the DiamondClean or even worse, the Adaptive Clean used on a Polish or Deep Clean setting would wear away the fillings. Ergo, the gentle or sensitive brush heads on Sensitive setting are the best for my teeth. No, it won't remove 10X the plaque of manual brushing, but since I brush after eating anything and floss after the same, these brush heads are excellent for me and for those with special needs or sensitive teeth. Add these brush heads to the excellence of the Philips Sonicare pulsating at a rate of 31000 times per minute, nothing needs else needs saying except this is the best brushing on the market today, Thank you Philips Sonicare for hopefully preventing further gumline cavities with your fantastic gentle/sensitive brush heads.ds

Not quite perfect...but worth the switch!
1 November 2022

I have the Sonicare 4100 (target exclusive) of which I like the toothbrush for the price (will upgrade in the future). The C2 head that came stock has a smaller bristle surface area (which I prefer) but is too intense for my teeth and gums. I was worried different heads (which they clearly look different) would prevent the pressure sensor from working, but great news is THE PRESSURE SENSORS STILL WORK ! The inside where you attach the head seems not quite as long so I get a bit concerned shoving it onto the toothbrush .. it doesn't fit quite as seamlessly as the C2, but overall the switch to the sensitive heads is worth it and I'll only ever purchase these heads with all models I buy!

Not sensitive
13 November 2023

These toothbrush heads are not soft. I’ve used Sonicare toothbrushes for over 25 years. These hurt my gums. I had first ordered the replacement heads from Amazon. I thought maybe they were counterfeit since they were too hard so then I ordered them here on your website and they are the same.

Great product for people who have sensitive teeth. I’ve been using these brushes for over 3 years on advice from my dentist. They have worked well and are doing the job that they were designed to do. Can be hard to find however, The Cut Above seems to always have them

Pleasantly surprised that it didn’t sting my gums.
8 October 2024

Didn’t realize that Philips had an array of brush heads. Commercially available were only the hard brushes. After a year of usage of the hard ones, I saw the full range of brush heads at my dental doctors’s office. I’m glad I did and that night went online to order the sensitive ones. Have not looked back since. Philips should advertise their full range everywhere.

The genuine Philips Sonicare heads are expensive, but well worth the cost.
1 June 2021

The cost of these genuine Philips Sonicare brush heads is high, but, the quality of them is equally high. I've purchased copycat brush heads from several different companies as they are about 1/3 the price of the genuine article. I've been sorely disappointed in the knock-off brush heads. The genuine article has its rows of bristles are different heights, the tallest bristles in the center. This gives the best cleaning action as proven by dental checkups. This is clearly a good case for: "you get what you pay for".

brush heads too big
24 August 2021

I used Sonicare for many years with the compact size brush heads. Since they no longer make that size, I had to buy the standard size. I first got the medium bristles but that was horribly hard on my gums. I am at the point to switch to Oral-B because the standard size brush head is too big for me, I can't reach in the back of my mouth, it's messier - splatter all over my mirror, and my dentist also said they don't recommend Sonicare anymore because of these issues but instead recommend Oral-B. Seems to me Sonicare is going to lose customers over this. The brush head quality and sensitive bristles are very good, just too big!
