Remember the scene where Dan Akroyd “shaved his nose hairs” in the movie The Great Outdoors? Yes this man is at that age. I have no hair on my head, as it fell off there to my chest and back. Oh and my nose and ears. I forgot the name of the hormone us males encounter in our mid 40’s. It’s strange going through mid age puberty. Actually glad this arrived. $20 that I didn’t want to spend. Yet when you forget this in Orlando, what can you do but but what you know works. This takes one AA battery. It lasts literally forever, and this device is washable with water. All of the different shaped heads are easy to apply on or take off. Ear hair and nose hair is gone in mere seconds! It doesn’t hurt, all you feel is a little vibration. Another Weapon for Hair in Inconvenient Places

As I get older, I've found myself wishing that the hair on my head would grow as fast as the hair in my nose and ears (gross, I know). Most of the trimmers I've used over the last few years were very cheaply made and fell apart after a short period of use (or, maybe it's my hair is so tough?). The 3000 series Norelco trimmer is certainly well-made, and so far has done a good job trimming my eyebrows and hair in and around my ears; the nose trimmer could have used a bit longer mount or wider openings for the blades to actually get to the hairs.There may be no absolutely answer, but at least the Norelco feels like it'll be there for the long haul.

Attach rotary attachment/Insert battery. Cuts well

I bought this mainly for the rotary trimmer attachment. What they don't tell you about attaching the rotary trimmer: On the end of the device right out of the box is the Fixed blade trimmer. For the eyebrow trimming attachment just insert the fixed blade into the attachment. Not so for the rotary trimmer, it has it's own set of internal blades.The Fixed blades are mounted in a head on the tip of the device. You want to remove the Head to attach the rotary trimmer. Grasp the Fixed blade Head & turn it counter clockwise then remove the Head & Fixed blades. That leaves a metal drive shaft exposed.Position the rotary trimmer on the thin metal shaft exposed when the Fixed blade head was removed & turn the Rotary Trimmer Head Clockwise to lock it in place. This only Unlocks the battery tube--the case the battery sits in. When unlocked, pull the knurled plastic back towards you. This causes the battery cage to slide out so the battery can be inserted. Insert the battery in the cage with the battery nipple pointed towards the cutter blade end, turn the knurled plastic slightly Clockwise until you feel the tab drop onto the locking slot and then turn it all the way to where it was before to lock the battery cage in place.I have only used the trimmer once but it seems durable. I have read complaints about noise but that is only because the blades spin so fast. Noise is not too much. Don't completely dunk it in water or get water on/ in the motor part but I like that you can hold the blades in the water stream from the faucet to clean them or take the rotary cutter off & run water through it--shake it dry afterwards. Judging from my battery powered toothbrush the weak point for such items is often the switch--my battery powered toothbrush has gone from a slide switch to two covered buttons--one for on & one for off & such is more durable.

Budget friendly Nose, Ears and Brows trimmer

Norelco NT3600/42 Nose Trimmer 3000 Nose, Ears and Brows trimmer is very inexpensive. Build quality seems adequate. Plastic body has some texture for better grip. Item is not too loud to operate. It is easy to sanitize the trimmer. Nose hair can be cut by either regular Trimming Head or by using included Rotary Trimmer. Switching between heads is easy, via a simple twist on/off mechanism. The trimming head cuts nose/ear hair with ease. It has never pinched me. Great design. The rotary trimmer works well too. To trim the eyebrows, simply slide one of the two attachments over the trimming head. For the price, this is a great trimmer.

Does the job, but where do I store it all?

Two attachable length combs for the trimmer allow for simple length adjustment, and the included miniature brush helps get stuck hair out of all the device’s heads.The trimmer has a surprising amount of heft once the battery is installed, which makes for a comfortable grip with the addition of rubber coating on the handle. It’s about as quiet as you’d expect for a battery-operated trimmer, though the single battery means the motor doesn’t deliver as much power as a corded or rechargeable option might. Still, the standard trimmer attachment does a reasonable job cutting through thick facial hair, letting me trim my mustache with minimal pulling. It’s shorter than a typical electric toothbrush and about as slim around, so it fits in small toiletry bags or grooming cases with ease. Being powered by a AA battery rather than a rechargeable one may be a bit of a turn-off for some, but in the scope of traveling this is preferable to forgetting a charger at home. Single use AA batteries can be found virtually anywhere around the world, same size and voltage in all regions.The only thing I can knock in regards to portability is that there’s no case or pouch included for the various trimmer accessories. It would have been much nicer to keep the extra parts handy without them scattering around my toiletry bag, and while a plastic bag does the trick, it does look decidedly less clean and organized in the luggage.- Bottom LineAt the end of the day, the 3000 series hair trimmer is an affordable, portable option that’s worth keeping in your bag when you travel. It’s not the most powerful or most comfortable trimmer I’ve used, but the small size and choice to use a common AA battery for power is very much an acceptable compromise. You could get by with it being your only trimmer, but the MSRP and low-maintenance nature suggests this was made purely as the travel option, and it’s a good one at that. For its price and portability relative to performance, the 3000 series hair trimmer comes recommended!

Manscaping

We have purchased many of these types of “Manscaping” gadgets over the years. Particularly like this product for it is quite safe to use. The cutting tip is well protected so you won’t nick your skin. I assist my husband by doing his ears and he handles his nose area. Easy to clean and the battery usage is minimal. Don’t have to constantly change out the batteries. Great Product!

It's easy to get to the battery and replace it without breaking your fingernails. In a couple of weeks of usage there was certainly no sign of the battery running down.Unlike on some other small devices like this, I found no rough or sharp edges that sometimes result from shoddy manufacturing or poor quality control. Overall the trimmer seems solidly built and give the impression that it should last for several years.A small pouch to keep all the parts together was included, which is a nice touch.

Very disappointing compared to NT3160

I've been using the older version of this product (NT3160/10) for a few years and absolutely love it. It cuts close to the skin without pulling hair. This newer version has ended up pulling hair and left me with a sore nose. The guard also prevents hair from actually getting cut, I have to run it over the area multiple times. With the previous model, the large eyebrow attachment gave me perfect result. With this version, I have to use the smaller attachment and even then it doesn't do much unless I spend a few minutes rubbing the trimmer head on my eyebrows. Don't understand why Philips felt the need to 'fix' something that wasn't broken... Please consider bringing the older version back. Also not sure why you'd want two trimmers in opposite directions.

Works well

Does the job well. Better than my previous nose trimmer. I had a previous trimmer that fell short of my expectations so I did not have high hopes on this one. But this one actually works. It sometimes takes a few tries to get all the hairs but does work. With the old one I had to use nose scissors after which meant it didn’t do much but this one I have not had to do that with. It does take a few rounds or tries at different angles but does work as expected. I would buy again. Also if use every few days it does a great job of maintaining and doesn’t take much time.
