I bought this on offer so a good price simply wanted it to top up sessions that I had had years ago at professional lasering clinic where a few hairs were returning but this worked out much cheaper option. The only down side so far is that there are no protective goggles with it and if I am to use near my face I would like to cover my eyes as it is very bright and don't want to risk damage. All professional clinics insist on eye protection so I will try and buy some online although think that a suitable pair should be provided ( I appreciate that it is perceived as less risk with ipl). Time will tell if it works as I have not had it long enough to see results on the hairs but seems to be working.

This is my first IPL product and I was worried that I might not know how to use and thus the results will not be effective. However, this product came with very good user manual that has clear instructions to guide me along and the product itself is really simple and intuitive to use! That’s only one button to toggle the different modes and a trigger to press for the light so operation is really easy. Setting 3 is very comfortable on my lower leg and the initial results after the 1st treatment is really promising, so can’t wait for subsequent treatments! This product is cheaper as compared to IPL salons and I can do it anytime I want at home, saves me the hassle from making a trip to IPL salon!

I have considered buying this device for a long time, and had read all the reviews, so I had high expectations. I have done 3 treatments now and I am blown away by how good it is. I already don't need to shave between treatments, it's just incredible. I epilated my legs for years, so I'm not that surprised that they have slow and patchy regrowth, but I shaved regularly elsewhere and couldn't really last more than a day or two without shaving again. I also used to really suffer from ingrown hairs on my legs from epilating, but these have all gone now.
Fast delivery, bought on 15 February and product got delivered on 17 February. Very easy to use with the quick instructions and it’s not heavy at all. Comes with a bag for storage. I have used it once only because the instruction says first treatment once every 2 weeks. I have very sensitive skin and I don’t see any bad skin reaction to it. I use it on my legs. I tried the light intensity from 1 to 5 and it doesn’t hurt at all. It has this flash light to indicate your skin tone is safe for use. Try not to look at it while you press it to release the flash. It’s super bright.

So glad I bought it. I saw immediate results. It does take longer to treat than stated when actually using it on different parts of your body, but it’s worth it in the longer term. I have a low pain threshold so in some parts it did hurt me - I just lowered the setting to manage it. Initially it only heated up once and I had to turn it off, but I was able to reuse it after a minute. After using the device around 8 times, the cooling recovery time is longer, so you do have to wait for around 4/5 mins to allow it to cool down. It happens about 2/3 times in a large area (e.g half a leg).But overall, I would recommend this product, it’s great and I should have bought it sooner.

After 6 days.. they got back and said that they will release the App in April. I bought the product in early march and I was told to wait for the App release. If the App is not ready, why did Philips sell the product.Secondly, I am considered a pretty fair Asian. With their key statement "Suitable for a wide variety of hair and skin types". It is NOT TRUE.
