I received the Philips Satin Compact Precision Trimmer for free in order to provide my honest opinion – and to be honest – I was a bit skeptical at first. I have tried other trimmers in the past and they have never really done for me what they are supposed to so I inevitably would regret my decision to purchase. Without question, the trimmer gets my unwanted hair down to where it is definitely no longer noticeable, making it perfect for on-the-go uses. I particularly found the small blade very effective for the eyebrow area. The only drawback for me is that the trimmer is unable to get a feeling of complete smoothness with my type hair so while it will not be a replacement for my more invasive hair removal process, it is absolutely perfect for maintenance in between, as well as being a staple for traveling given its compactness and discreteness. You should note, however, that my hair growth tends to be coarse so I suspect someone with lighter, fine hair may very well be able to achieve totally smooth skin. Finally, in case you are wondering, unlike other hair removal options, using the trimmer resulted in zero pain or discomfort which of course is a huge plus! I would definitely recommend the product to friends and family.

I got this last week and tried it for the past few days. This trims good for baby hairs but when your hair grows a little longer it doesn't trim good at all. When your hairs starts to grow back longer in the underams/legs and thicker this doesn't do the job. It barely trims the hair. I thought this will be good. It comes with extra thin or mesh travel bag and its not a good purchase at all.

I have had this trimmer for the last 5 years. It still works but I wanted to see if Phillips came with other options. I will go ahead and buy this one again because it does the job perfectly. I had other trimmers prior which did not last. I would recommend this trimmer to anyone who particularly have a busy schedule and would like to remove facial hair on the go. I use it regularly in the morning before work.

A problem I ran into was that half of the head of the trimmer can come off to clean inside of it as needed. After checking this out, I popped this half of the head back on and the product stopped working altogether. I finally got it to work again by taking the half of the head off again, turning the power button to `on`, and attaching the head while it was running. These instructions are not in the instruction manual`s `troubleshooting` guide, so I hope this helps someone out. For the bikini zone, I prefer the men's version for the larger blade, articulating head, and grippier handle; the smaller blade on the women's version seems to be better suited for peach fuzz and finer hair elsewhere on the body. Overall, I don't think the women's version is worth paying more for, but it is still a good-quality trimmer.

It does take a little while to get use to using it, you have to fine what angle works best for you, and because I need glasses to see what I’m doing, this can be a bit of a challenge. It’s hard to get right in there when you have glasses sitting on your nose, but other than that it works great on brows. I’ve also used it on my upper lip and it removed every one of the unwanted hairs just as I expected it to do. Other than getting around my glasses the only other thing I have a problem with is where to buy replacement blades for it. I sure hope they let us know soon, other wise its just going to end up in a draw somewhere along side many other forgotten objects. If you like to do your brows at home, or if you’ve been struggling with the chore like I was, than I definitely would recommended The Philips Precision Trimmer to you or anyone else that would like to have something on hand that can do the job quickly.
